Toyota Aftermarket Wheel Fitment

Toyota is one of the highest volume aftermarket platforms in our customer base, anchored by the Tacoma, 4Runner, Tundra, Camry, Corolla, RAV-4, and the recent GR Supra and GR86 enthusiast platforms. The Land Cruiser, Sequoia, Highlander, Sienna, and FJ Cruiser all come through the shop across multiple generations. Toyota fitment splits cleanly by vehicle class. The full-size trucks and SUVs (modern Tundra, modern Sequoia, Land Cruiser) use a 5x150 bolt pattern unique to that family. The mid-size trucks (Tacoma, 4Runner, older Tundra and Sequoia) use 6x139.7. The mainstream cars and crossovers (Camry, Corolla, RAV-4, Highlander, Avalon, Sienna, Venza, C-HR) all share 5x114.3. The enthusiast halos are their own platforms. The GR Supra uses 5x112 because it is built on the BMW Z4 chassis. The GR86 uses 5x100 because it is built on the Subaru BR-Z chassis. A wheel that fits your Tacoma will not fit your Tundra. A wheel that fits your Camry will not fit your GR Supra. Element Wheels has measured fitment across the majority of Toyota platforms in our 30-model catalog so the wheels we show you have been validated for your exact chassis and brake setup. Pick your Toyota model below and you can rest assured the wheels and rims will fit the way you want every time.

The Toyota Bolt Pattern Landscape

Toyota splits cleanly by vehicle class. There is no single Toyota bolt pattern. The bolt pattern depends on which Toyota platform you are buying for, and on the trucks, which era.

Toyota bolt patterns at a glance

Full-size trucks and SUVs (Tundra 2007 and newer, Sequoia 2008 and newer, Land Cruiser): 5x150. Unique to the Toyota full-size family. Does not cross with the Tacoma or 4Runner.

Mid-size trucks and SUVs (Tacoma, 4Runner, FJ Cruiser, older Tundra 2000-2006, older Sequoia 2001-2007): 6x139.7 (also called 6x5.5). The mid-size Toyota truck pattern. Also shared with the older Land Cruiser 80-series.

Mainstream cars and crossovers (Camry, Corolla, RAV-4, Highlander, Avalon, Sienna, Venza, C-HR, Crown, Grand Highlander, Prius, Matrix, Camry Solara): 5x114.3 (also called 5x4.5). The Toyota mainstream pattern shared across nearly every sedan and crossover in the lineup.

GR Supra (2020 and newer): 5x112. Built on the BMW Z4 chassis, the GR Supra uses the BMW bolt pattern, not the Toyota mainstream 5x114.3.

GR86 (2022 and newer) and Toyota 86 (2017-2020): 5x100. Built on the Subaru BR-Z chassis, the GR86 uses the Subaru bolt pattern.

Small and older platforms (Echo, Yaris, Celica, MR2, older Corolla): 4x100 or 5x100 depending on the platform and year. The smallest Toyota cars use the compact patterns.

The biggest takeaway is the full-size truck split. A wheel that fits a 2006 Tundra (6x139.7) will not fit a 2007 Tundra (5x150). Toyota changed the pattern with the second generation Tundra. The Sequoia made the same change one year later for the 2008 model year. Always confirm year and platform before assuming wheels carry across.

Tacoma, Tundra, and the Toyota Truck Bolt Pattern Split

Toyota's truck and SUV lineup splits at the full-size boundary. The Tacoma, 4Runner, and FJ Cruiser are mid-size trucks and SUVs. They run a 6 lug 6x139.7 bolt pattern. The Tundra and Sequoia are full-size trucks and SUVs. The modern Tundra (2007 and newer) and Sequoia (2008 and newer) run a 5 lug 5x150 bolt pattern. The lug count is different. The wheels do not bolt across, even though Toyota makes all of them.

The split caught a lot of customers off guard when Toyota redesigned the second generation Tundra for 2007. The first generation Tundra (2000 to 2006) used 6x139.7, the same as the Tacoma and 4Runner. Customers who upgraded from a 2006 Tundra to a 2007 Tundra found their wheels did not carry over. The Sequoia made the same change with its second generation in 2008. The Land Cruiser has used 5x150 across its modern 100, 200, and current 300 series generations.

How Element handles Toyota truck fitment

The Tacoma model page covers the 6x139.7 mid-size truck across all generations. The Tundra model page separates the first generation 6x139.7 trucks from the second and third generation 5x150 trucks. The Sequoia is tracked the same way. The 4Runner and FJ Cruiser share the Tacoma 6x139.7 pattern but their offset windows differ because of the SUV body and brake setup. The wheels we recommend on each Toyota truck and SUV page have been measured against the exact platform and brake combination on the customer's vehicle.

On every Toyota truck and off-road platform we separate stock height fitment from lifted. Each lift height (2-3 inch leveled, 4 inch, 6 inch) and tire size (32 inch, 33 inch, 34 inch, 35 inch) shifts the wheel specs we recommend. The Tacoma, Tundra, 4Runner, FJ Cruiser, and Land Cruiser each have stock and lifted fitment variants tracked. The Land Cruiser and FJ Cruiser also have Overland-specific fitments measured for off-road builds. When you pick a Toyota truck on the site, the fitment recommendations are anchored to your exact stock height, lift, tire size, and build type.

The GR Supra and GR86 deserve their own note. The GR Supra is built on the BMW Z4 chassis and uses the BMW 5x112 bolt pattern. Toyota does not make Supra wheels in-house. The GR86 is built on the Subaru BR-Z chassis and uses the Subaru 5x100 bolt pattern. Both enthusiast cars sit outside the Toyota mainstream 5x114.3 family. Our Supra and GR86 model pages cover the BMW and Subaru fitment specifics including the available staggered and square configurations.

How We Confirm Fitment

Element Wheels measures fitment on Toyota models we sell wheels for. For each chassis and brake combination we measure clearance from the wheel to the fender, gap between the back of the wheel and any suspension components, brake caliper height, hub protrusion, lug height, and how much room the front wheel has when turning lock to lock. We do this on the car or the truck, not from a spec sheet.

That measurement work covers the most active Toyota platforms across the catalog. The first generation Tundra and Sequoia (6x139.7 era) are tracked separately from the modern Tundra and Sequoia (5x150 era). The Tacoma is tracked separately by generation because the offset windows narrow on the third gen platform compared to the older trucks. The GR Supra is tracked separately from the Camry and Corolla because it is a BMW platform. The GR86 is tracked separately because it is a Subaru platform. Our fitment recommendations come from these direct measurements rather than manufacturer spec sheets.

Every wheel we recommend is backed by our Fitment Guarantee. If a wheel does not fit, we pick up the wheels and refund 100 percent. No risk to you.

Toyota Wheel and Rim FAQ

What is the most popular Toyota aftermarket platform?

The Tacoma is one of the highest volume Toyota aftermarket platforms, followed by the 4Runner, Tundra, Camry, Corolla, RAV-4, and the GR Supra. The GR86, Land Cruiser, Sequoia, and Sienna also remain active across multiple generations.

What is the Toyota bolt pattern?

It depends on the platform. The modern Tundra, Sequoia, and Land Cruiser use 5x150. The Tacoma, 4Runner, FJ Cruiser, and older Tundra and Sequoia use 6x139.7. The mainstream cars and crossovers (Camry, Corolla, RAV-4, Highlander, Avalon, Sienna, Venza, C-HR) use 5x114.3. The GR Supra uses 5x112 (BMW pattern). The GR86 uses 5x100 (Subaru pattern). Older small cars use 4x100 or 5x100.

Will Tacoma wheels fit my Tundra?

Only on the 2000 to 2006 Tundra. The first generation Tundra used 6x139.7, the same as the Tacoma. The second generation Tundra (2007 and newer) and third generation Tundra (2022 and newer) moved to 5x150. Tacoma wheels do not fit the modern Tundra. Always check the year before assuming wheels carry between the two trucks.

Will GR Supra wheels fit a Camry or other Toyota?

No. The GR Supra is built on the BMW Z4 chassis and uses the BMW 5x112 bolt pattern. The Camry, Corolla, and the rest of the Toyota mainstream lineup use 5x114.3. The patterns are close but not identical. The GR Supra wheels will not bolt onto a Camry hub. Shop the Supra page for Supra fitment and a BMW page for additional 5x112 options.

Are Toyota wheels staggered?

Most Toyota mainstream cars and trucks run square fitment from the factory. The GR Supra ships staggered with a wider rear wheel because it is a BMW Z4 chassis. The Lexus IS and RC trims (which share Toyota platforms) sometimes ship staggered as well. Aftermarket staggered builds are common on the Camry, Corolla, Avalon, and the GR86 as a styling choice. Each model page covers both square and staggered options.

How do I find wheels for my specific Toyota?

Pick your Toyota model from the list above. Each model page covers the generations we have measured, with bolt pattern, offset window, and fitment specifics for each year range and trim. If you are not sure which generation you have, our team can identify your exact configuration from your VIN.
