Did you know your tires require a break-in period?
Have you ever wondered why your tires feel different when you get new ones put on your vehicle? Well this is because, your old tires probably had very little tread left. Tires have many layers of steel, and rubber. When the tires are cured, there is a lubricant that is applied to prevent your tires from sticking to their mold. And some of this lubricant will stay on the surface of the tires reducing traction until it is worn away. So, therefore every tire requires about 500 miles of driving to break them in for the best performance. This will allow the mold to release and the lubricant will wear off.
