The Aston Martin DB9 is the grand tourer Aston Martin built from 2004 to 2016 as the successor to the DB7. It ran a 6.0L V12 across the full production run, in both coupe and Volante (convertible) body styles, and later production cars added the GT, GT Volante, and limited Bond Edition trims with a tuned 5.9L version of the same V12. The DB9 was replaced by the DB11 in 2016 and the platform has been out of production since. The Aston Martin DB9 Bolt Pattern and Hub Bore

Every DB9 from 2004 through 2016 runs 5x128 with a 75.1mm hub bore and M14x1.5 lug bolts. The 5x128 pattern is the Aston Martin grand tourer spec and is rare in the broader aftermarket. It is the same pattern used on the modern DBS and the DBX SUV, so wheels designed for an Aston Martin platform will bolt to the DB9 hub. The 5x128 pattern is not the same as 5x130 (the Porsche and VAG grand tourer spec) or 5x114.3 (the most common five lug pattern in the aftermarket). It is also not the same as 5x115. The 3mm separation between 5x128 and 5x130 is enough that the wheel will not seat correctly on a DB9 hub and the lug bolts will stress against the wheel face if forced. Stick to wheels that are explicitly listed as 5x128 for the DB9.

The hub bore is 75.1mm and the lug spec is M14x1.5 bolts (not studs with separate nuts). Aston Martin threads lug bolts directly into the hub the same way the VW Group and most European manufacturers do. There is no stud to pre align the wheel before tightening, so the hub centric fit matters more on a DB9 than on a stud and nut car. A wheel with a centerbore larger than 75.1mm needs hub centric rings to bring the bore down to the DB9 hub diameter. Without rings the wheel can sit slightly off center and vibrate at speed. Why the DB9 Brake Package Determines Wheel Face Clearance

The DB9 came with a steel Brembo brake package as standard across most of its production run, with a carbon ceramic Brembo option offered on later trims (GT, GT Volante, Bond Edition). The bolt pattern, centerbore, and lug spec do not change between the steel and the carbon ceramic packages. What changes is the wheel face clearance behind the front caliper. The carbon ceramic Brembo caliper face is physically larger than the steel Brembo and takes more room behind the wheel spokes, so wheels with deeply concave back surfaces need verification against the brake package you actually have. The front brake is larger than the rear on the DB9, which is normal on a performance grand tourer of this caliber. The front axle handles the majority of the braking load and Aston Martin scaled the front rotor and caliper accordingly.

The DB9 is factory staggered with a wider rear wheel and a wider rear tire than the front. Aston Martin engineered the chassis as a front engine, rear drive grand tourer with the V12 forward of the cabin and the drivetrain mass biased to the rear axle. The factory ships a noticeably wider rear wheel to plant the power and balance the visual stance, and the aftermarket box respects that staggered geometry. Square setups (same width front and rear) are not how the DB9 is meant to run.
