The BMW i8 is a 2014-2020 hybrid sports car built on a carbon fiber chassis, available as a Coupe (I12) and a Roadster (I15, launched May 2018). Wheel fitment on the i8 is unique. The factory ran 20x7.5 front and 20x8.5 rear with +40 to +50mm offsets, but the aftermarket sweet spot runs lower offsets and wider widths for a more aggressive stance. BMW i8 Wheel Specs

The BMW i8 uses a 5x112 bolt pattern and a 66.6mm hub bore. These specs are shared across the 2014-2020 Coupe (I12) and the 2018-2020 Roadster (I15). 66.6mm is the standard hub bore across modern BMW, Audi, and Mercedes 5x112 platforms. Aftermarket wheels designed for a larger common bore use hub centric rings to step down to 66.6mm. Factory wheel sizes were 20x7.5 front and 20x8.5 rear with +40 to +50mm offsets, staggered from the dealer.

BMW i8 Wheel Fitment Sweet Spots

The BMW i8's factory offsets are conservative for the platform. Customers running aftermarket wheels go lower in the front for a more aggressive stance, similar in the rear. We have detailed measurements on this platform.

The i8 has large front brake calipers like most performance cars, so brake clearance on aggressive low offset front fitment matters. We measure brake clearance directly on the i8 rather than relying on factory spec sheets.

How We Confirm Fitment
