Buick Terraza Aftermarket Wheel Fitment

The Buick Terraza is the minivan Buick built from 2005 through 2007 on the GM U-body platform. It was Buick's only minivan and shared its underpinnings with the Chevrolet Uplander 5-Lug, the Pontiac Montana SV6, and the Saturn Relay. The bolt pattern is 5x115 with a 70.3mm hub bore across every Terraza model year, with M12x1.5 thread pitch and conical seat lug nuts. Fitment is square front to rear by default and there is no upgraded factory caliper variant to track. Element Wheels carries direct fitment for the 2005-2007 Terraza and the catalog runs from 17 inch through 20 inch diameter. The Terraza was discontinued after the 2007 model year when Buick exited the minivan segment.

Find Your Buick Terraza Year

Pick your year range to see wheels and rims that fit your specific Terraza. The Terraza ran a single generation from 2005 through 2007. Bolt pattern, hub bore, and thread pitch are consistent across every production year.

The Buick Terraza Bolt Pattern

The Terraza runs the 5x115 bolt pattern with a 70.3mm hub bore across every production year (2005 through 2007). Lug count is 5. Thread pitch is M12x1.5. Lug type is conical seat (lug nuts, not bolts). This 5x115 / 70.3mm spec is shared across the U-body family of GM minivans, which includes the Chevrolet Uplander 5-Lug (2005-2008), the Pontiac Montana SV6 (2005), and the Saturn Relay (2005-2007). The bolt-on architecture lines up across the U-body lineup, though brake clearance and offset windows may vary by model.

A note on imperial nicknames. The 5x4.5 imperial label refers to 5x114.3 alone. 114.3mm equals exactly 4.5 inches, which is where the imperial name comes from. The Terraza is 5x115 specifically. It is not 5x114.3, and the imperial 5x4.5 nickname does not apply. The 5x115 and 5x114.3 bolt circles differ by only 0.7mm but the studs do not seat correctly across patterns and the wheels do not safely interchange. Force-fitting a 5x114.3 wheel onto a Terraza hub puts stress on the studs that will eventually fail. Confirm the 5x115 pattern before ordering. Compare against the rest of the Buick lineup at our Buick wheels and rims hub.

Why the Terraza Was Buick's Only Minivan

The Terraza was Buick's entry into the minivan segment, and the only minivan Buick ever sold. It launched for the 2005 model year on the GM U-body platform, the same underpinnings used by the Chevrolet Uplander, the Pontiac Montana SV6, and the Saturn Relay. The Terraza positioned itself as the premium U-body variant with more standard luxury features than its Chevy, Pontiac, and Saturn siblings. The 3.5L V6 was standard for 2005, and a 3.9L V6 became available for 2006 and 2007. Front wheel drive was standard with all wheel drive available on some trims.

Fitment on the Terraza is straightforward by U-body standards. One generation, one bolt pattern, one hub bore, no Brembo or factory upgraded caliper variant, square front to rear. Buick discontinued the Terraza after the 2007 model year as the brand pivoted toward crossover SUVs and away from minivans. The U-body platform itself was retired across all GM brands after 2008. Buick has not returned to the minivan segment since.

Publishable factory and wheel specs across the Terraza production run:

  • 2005-2007 Terraza (U-body): 5x115 bolt pattern, 70.3mm hub bore, M12x1.5 thread, 5 lug, conical seat. Element aftermarket diameter range: 17 to 20 inch. Element aftermarket width range: 6.5 to 8.5 inch all corners. Square fitment. Factory brake size consistent across the production run with no Brembo or upgraded factory caliper variant to track. How We Confirm Fitment on Buick Terraza Wheels

Element Wheels measures fitment on the platforms we sell wheels for, including the 2005-2007 Terraza. For the Terraza that means clearance from the wheel to the fender, gap between the back of the wheel and the suspension, brake caliper height, hub protrusion past the mounting surface, lug seat depth, and turning clearance front and rear with 18 to 20 inch wheels installed. At our fitment facility in Chandler, Arizona, the Element Wheels team measures directly on the physical platforms we support. The Terraza 70.3mm hub bore matches the rest of the U-body family so hub centric ring sizing is straightforward. We do not pull specs from manufacturer sheets the way most retailers do.

Every wheel we recommend is backed by our Fitment Guarantee. If a wheel does not fit, we pick up the wheels and refund 100 percent. No risk to you.

Buick Terraza Wheels and Rims FAQ

What is the bolt pattern on a Buick Terraza?

The 2005-2007 Buick Terraza runs 5x115 with a 70.3mm hub bore across every production year. Thread pitch is M12x1.5 and the lug type is conical seat. These specs hold across every Terraza trim and across both front wheel drive and all wheel drive configurations.

Is the 5x115 Terraza bolt pattern the same as 5x114.3?

No. The Terraza is 5x115 specifically. It is not 5x114.3. The 5x115 and 5x114.3 bolt circles differ by only 0.7mm but the studs do not seat correctly across patterns and the wheels do not safely interchange. The imperial 5x4.5 nickname refers to 5x114.3 alone (114.3mm equals exactly 4.5 inches). Confirm the 5x115 pattern before ordering.

Is the Terraza the same as the Chevy Uplander underneath?

The Terraza is built on the GM U-body platform shared with the Chevrolet Uplander 5-Lug (2005-2008), the Pontiac Montana SV6 (2005), and the Saturn Relay (2005-2007). All four U-body siblings use the same 5x115 bolt pattern, the same 70.3mm hub bore, and the same M12x1.5 thread. Note: the Chevrolet Uplander was also offered in a 6-Lug variant with a different 6x115 bolt pattern. The Terraza only ever shipped 5-lug, so the Uplander 5-Lug is the direct sibling.

What is the hub bore on a Buick Terraza?

Every Buick Terraza uses a 70.3mm hub bore. This matches the rest of the U-body family including the Chevrolet Uplander 5-Lug, the Pontiac Montana SV6, and the Saturn Relay. If your fitment needs hub centric rings, they will be included with the order.

Does fitment differ between front wheel drive and all wheel drive Terraza?

No. Both front wheel drive and all wheel drive Terraza minivans share the same 5x115 bolt pattern, the same 70.3mm hub bore, and the same fitment window. Drivetrain does not change the bolt-on architecture on the Terraza. The same aftermarket wheel will fit both configurations.

What is the factory wheel size on a Buick Terraza?

Most Terraza trims shipped with 17 inch wheels from the factory. CXL trims occasionally shipped with chrome 17 inch wheels as a package option. Aftermarket Terraza builds commonly target 18 or 20 inch as the upgrade size. Our catalog supports up to 20 inch on every Terraza trim.

What is the largest wheel I can fit on a Buick Terraza?

Our measured aftermarket window on the Terraza tops at 20 inch diameter. 18 inch is the most common upgrade target because it preserves sidewall and ride quality on a minivan with kids and cargo in mind. 20 inch builds work in our catalog as well but tighten the tire selection and shift the ride toward a firmer feel.

Do I need hub centric rings on a Buick Terraza?

Hub centric rings only when the aftermarket wheel has a centerbore larger than the Terraza's 70.3mm factory hub. If your fitment needs rings, they will be included with the order.
