Cadillac DTS Aftermarket Wheel Fitment

The Cadillac DTS is the full-size luxury sedan Cadillac sold from the 2006 through the 2011 model year on the GM Premium FWD (G-body) front-drive platform. It replaced the DeVille for the 2006 model year and was itself replaced by the XTS in 2013, leaving a one-year gap in Cadillac's full-size luxury sedan slot. The DTS is the last front-drive Northstar V8 full-size Cadillac, and on a fitment level it is one of the simplest Cadillac platforms we measure. Element Wheels carries the DTS in two catalog rows: the standard DTS Sedan (2006-2011) and the DTS Performance Package (2006-2008). Both rows are 5x115 with a 70.3mm hub bore. Five lugs, M12x1.5 thread pitch, factory lug nuts. The Performance Package trim raises the wheel diameter floor from 17 inch to 18 inch and adjusts the width window, but every spec that controls whether a wheel bolts on stays the same across the entire DTS line.

Find Your Cadillac DTS Configuration

Pick your trim to see wheels and rims that fit your specific DTS. Both rows share 5x115 / 70.3mm with five lugs and M12x1.5 thread pitch. The split between the standard DTS and the DTS Performance Package matters for diameter and width selection, not for whether the wheel bolts on.

The Cadillac DTS Bolt Pattern is 5x115

Every Cadillac DTS runs 5x115 with a 70.3mm hub bore. Five lugs, M12x1.5 thread pitch, factory lug nuts. The standard DTS Sedan and the DTS Performance Package share the same bolt pattern and the same hub bore, so any 5x115 / 70.3mm wheel that fits one trim will bolt to the other trim. The split between the two rows is in diameter and width selection, not in fitment hardware.

The Cadillac DTS is 5x115 specifically. The 5x4.5 imperial nickname refers to 5x114.3 alone (114.3mm converts to 4.5 inches), not 5x115. The two patterns look similar on paper and a 5x114.3 wheel will technically thread onto 5x115 studs if the lugs are forced, but the stud spacing is off by 0.7mm at each lug position. That puts cumulative stress on the studs and is not safe on a vehicle the size and weight of a DTS. Confirm 5x115 before you order.

The 70.3mm hub bore is the GM Premium FWD hub spec that carried across the DeVille from 1994 onward, the DTS from 2006 through 2011, and several other front-drive Cadillac platforms of the same era. If your aftermarket wheel has a centerbore larger than 70.3mm (common on universal-fit wheels and on wheels originally specced for a different platform), it needs a hub centric ring to land hub-centric on the DTS hub.

Compare across the rest of the Cadillac lineup at our Cadillac wheels and rims hub. Note that the XTS, which replaced the DTS in 2013, looks like the same kind of car but is a different platform entirely (GM Epsilon II at 5x120 / 66.9mm), and DTS wheels do not cross to an XTS.

How the DTS Performance Package Changes the Wheel Window

The standard DTS Sedan is the base full-size luxury trim with the 4.6L Northstar V8 and a wheel package sized for ride comfort first. The Element measured diameter window on the standard DTS runs 17 to 20 inch. Width runs 7 to 9 inch on both axles. The catalog tags the standard DTS as non-staggered (FT=1), meaning a square setup all four corners is the right approach. Brake clearance is standard front and rear.

The DTS Performance Package is the firmer-suspension trim Cadillac built from 2006 through 2008. The Performance Package raises the wheel diameter floor from 17 inch to 18 inch (the package's larger factory wheel and tighter fender geometry do not clear smaller wheels consistently) and tightens the width window to 8 to 9 inch on both axles. Bolt pattern, hub bore, lug count, and thread pitch are identical to the standard DTS. Brake hardware is the same standard package on both rows. The Performance Package's changes are suspension tuning and wheel-and-tire package, not brake upgrades, so front and rear brake clearance is the same across the line.

  • DTS Performance Package (2006-2008, GM Premium FWD): 5x115 bolt pattern, 70.3mm hub bore. Element aftermarket diameter range: 18-20 inch. Aftermarket width range: 8-9 inch front, 8-9 inch rear. Non-staggered. Five-lug, M12x1.5 thread pitch.

For your exact aftermarket offset, three options:

  • 1. Use our Year/Make/Model search to see wheels that fit your specific DTS (each listing shows its own offset).
  • 2. Browse the DTS wheel gallery for real-life builds with size, offset, and tire spec captions.
  • 3. Call or chat with our team for a free fitment consultation.

Every wheel we recommend is backed by our Fitment Guarantee. If a wheel does not fit, we pick up the wheels and refund 100 percent. No risk to you.

How We Confirm Fitment on Cadillac DTS Wheels

Element Wheels measures fitment on the platforms we sell wheels for, including both DTS trims. For the DTS that means clearance from the wheel to the fender on both axles, gap between the back of the wheel and the front strut tower (the front-drive layout puts the strut tower close to the inner barrel on the DTS), front brake caliper height, hub bore confirmation to the 70.3mm Premium FWD spec, lug seat geometry across the M12x1.5 thread pitch, and turning clearance with the wheel and tire installed at full lock. At our fitment facility in Chandler, Arizona, the Element Wheels team measures directly on the physical platforms we support. We don't pull specs from manufacturer sheets the way most retailers do. That measurement work is what builds the published diameter and width windows above and what catches the difference between the standard DTS and the DTS Performance Package on minimum wheel size.

Cadillac DTS Wheels and Rims FAQ

What is the bolt pattern on a Cadillac DTS?

Every Cadillac DTS runs 5x115 with a 70.3mm hub bore. Five lugs, M12x1.5 thread pitch. The standard DTS Sedan (2006-2011) and the DTS Performance Package (2006-2008) share the same bolt pattern, the same hub bore, and the same lug hardware. The 5x4.5 imperial nickname refers to 5x114.3 alone, not 5x115. Confirm 5x115 before you order.

Will DeVille wheels fit a Cadillac DTS?

Same-chassis exception: yes. The Cadillac DeVille (1994-2005) and the DTS (2006-2011) are the same Premium FWD platform car, and the DTS is the DeVille's direct successor. Both run 5x115 / 70.3mm with five lugs and M12x1.5 thread pitch. A DeVille wheel will bolt to a DTS and the reverse is also true. Offset window is the same on both cars in our measured data. DeVille fitment lives at /wheels/cadillac/de-ville.

Will XTS wheels fit a Cadillac DTS?

No. The XTS (2013-2019) replaced the DTS in Cadillac's full-size luxury sedan slot, but it is a different platform entirely. The XTS rides on GM Epsilon II at 5x120 with a 66.9mm hub bore. The DTS rides on GM Premium FWD at 5x115 with a 70.3mm hub bore. Bolt pattern is different, hub bore is different. XTS wheels do not bolt to a DTS and the reverse is also true. They look like the same kind of car. The fitment hardware does not cross.

What is the difference between the DTS and the DTS Performance Package for wheels?

Bolt pattern, hub bore, lug count, and thread pitch are identical across both trims. The split is in the wheel window. The standard DTS measured aftermarket diameter range starts at 17 inch and tops at 20 inch, with a 7 to 9 inch width window on both axles. The DTS Performance Package measured aftermarket diameter range starts at 18 inch and tops at 20 inch, with a tighter 8 to 9 inch width window on both axles. Both trims are non-staggered.

Are Cadillac DTS wheels staggered?

No. The DTS is non-staggered (catalog FT=1) and runs a square setup all four corners. The DTS is a front-drive luxury sedan and the rear axle does not carry the wider-tire performance role that staggered setups on rear-drive performance sedans handle. Our measured width window is the same front and rear on both the standard DTS and the DTS Performance Package.

What is the largest wheel I can fit on a Cadillac DTS?

Our measured Element aftermarket window tops at 20 inch on both the standard DTS and the DTS Performance Package. 18 inch is the most common choice on the DTS for a balance of ride quality and visual presence on the full-size sedan body. 20 inch is the ceiling. We do not recommend going above 20 inch on the DTS. Tire selection thins out sharply above 20, the ride quality drops, and the front-drive geometry punishes overly large wheels under hard cornering.

Do I need hub centric rings on a Cadillac DTS?

Hub centric rings only when the aftermarket wheel has a centerbore larger than 70.3mm. The hub bore is the same on the standard DTS and the DTS Performance Package. If you are running BMW-bored wheels (72.56mm) on a DTS, you will need a 72.56-to-70.3mm hub centric ring to land the wheel hub-centric. If your fitment needs rings, they'll be included with the order.

How do I find the right wheels for my specific Cadillac DTS?

Two steps on the DTS. Confirm your trim. The standard DTS Sedan (2006-2011) takes a 17 to 20 inch wheel. The DTS Performance Package (2006-2008) takes an 18 to 20 inch wheel. Both are 5x115 / 70.3mm with five lugs and M12x1.5 thread pitch. Then use our Year/Make/Model search to see wheels that fit your specific DTS and browse the wheel gallery for real-life builds with size and offset captions. Every wheel we recommend is backed by the Fitment Guarantee.
