The Cadillac Escalade is the flagship full-size luxury SUV Cadillac has built since 2002, and it has gone through four gas-powered generations on the GM full-size body-on-frame architecture (GMT800 2002-2006, GMT900 2007-2014, K2XL 2015-2020, T1 2021 and up). The Escalade ESV is the long-wheelbase variant offered in every generation since 2003, sharing the Escalade fitment hardware with a longer body. The Escalade V is the 682-horsepower performance variant of the T1 (2023 and up). The Escalade iQ is the all-electric Escalade on GM's Ultium EV platform (2025 and up), a separate chassis with separate fitment. The T1-platform Escalade (2021 and up) including the V flagged a rear axle shaft protrusion that can require attention with highly concave aftermarket wheels, and we measure that clearance directly before shipping.

The Cadillac Escalade Bolt Pattern

Every gas-powered Cadillac Escalade uses 6x139.7 with a 78.1mm hub bore. The imperial nickname for 6x139.7 is 6x5.5 (139.7mm converts cleanly to 5.5 inches). That pattern holds across all four gas generations: GMT800 (2002-2006), GMT900 (2007-2014), K2XL (2015-2020), and T1 (2021 and up). Six lugs, M14x1.5 thread pitch, factory lug nuts. The Escalade V (2023 and up) is built on the T1 platform and carries the same 6x139.7 / 78.1mm spec. The Escalade ESV long-wheelbase trim shares the same fitment hardware as the Escalade of its generation. Confirm 6x139.7 and the 78.1mm hub before you order.

The gas Escalade is the Cadillac-branded version of GM's full-size SUV platform, which also underpins the Chevrolet Tahoe, Chevrolet Suburban (ESV-length), GMC Yukon, and GMC Yukon XL (ESV-length). The 6x139.7 / 78.1mm spec is consistent across that platform family within each generation. Wheels cross at the lug and hub level. Offset windows, fender clearance, and Cadillac-specific finish requirements differ, so we still measure the Escalade separately from its platform siblings.

The Escalade iQ is a different platform. The iQ is GM's first full-size luxury EV built on the Ultium battery architecture, not the body-on-frame chassis of the gas Escalade. The iQ does NOT share fitment with the gas Escalade. Why Generation and Brake Package Matter on the Escalade

The Escalade keeps the same bolt pattern and hub bore across every gas-powered generation, but the wheel selection window shifts. The older GMT800 (2002-2006) and GMT900 (2007-2014) Escalades carry a wider diameter window starting at 16-17 inch for replacement-size or restoration builds. The K2XL (2015-2020) and T1 (2021 and up) Escalades came from the factory on 20 inch wheels and up, so our measured aftermarket window starts at 20 inch on those generations. Every gas Escalade is square fitment, front and rear widths match. None of the gas-powered Escalade generations is staggered from the factory.

The 2021 and up T1 Escalade can be specified with the optional Brembo brake package, and the Escalade V ships with performance Brembo as standard. The Brembo caliper sits in a different position behind the wheel face than the base brake and changes the inside-barrel clearance window. We track Base Brakes and Brembo Brakes as separate fitment rows on the T1 because a wheel that clears the base caliper can interfere with the Brembo. The Escalade V also drops the diameter floor to 22 inch because the V was never offered on a wheel smaller than 22 from the factory.

One Escalade-specific note on the T1 (2021 and up) including the V: the rear axle shaft protrudes far enough through the hub face that some highly concave aftermarket wheel designs can interfere with it. The catalog flags this as a known clearance question. We confirm rear axle clearance on the T1 before shipping, and depending on the wheel and your specific configuration we may recommend a different wheel choice. This is the kind of detail a generic spec calculator does not catch and exactly the reason we measure on the physical platform.

How We Confirm Fitment on Cadillac Escalade Wheels

For the Escalade that means clearance from the wheel to the fender on both axles, gap between the back of the wheel and the suspension, brake caliper height (Base on every pre-T1 generation, Base or optional Brembo on the T1, performance Brembo on the V), hub bore confirmation to the 78.1mm Cadillac hub, lug seat geometry on the six-lug pattern, rear axle shaft clearance on the T1 platform (including V) for highly concave wheel choices, and turning clearance with the wheel and tire installed.
