The Chevrolet Blazer name covers three completely different vehicle families across four decades. The full-size K5 Blazer and the mid-size S-10 Blazer were body-on-frame trucks built from the 1960s through 2005. The modern Blazer (2019 and up) is a unibody mid-size crossover SUV on the GM E2 platform, the same crossover family that underpins the current GMC Acadia. The bolt pattern, hub bore, and overall fitment window are different on every era, and wheels do not cross between the body-on-frame Blazers and the modern crossover. The early 4WD Blazer (1983-1994) is 6 lug, while the early 2WD Blazer is 5 lug. The modern 2019 and up Blazer is a different vehicle from the truck era and runs its own 6x120 pattern on the unibody crossover platform.

The Chevrolet Blazer Bolt Pattern Across the Three Eras

The Blazer has used three combinations of bolt pattern and hub bore. The 1983-1991 2WD Blazer ran 5x127 (also written as 5x5.0) with a 78.3mm hub bore on the early S-10 body-on-frame platform. The 1983-1994 4WD Blazer (which includes the K5 long wheelbase variant where applicable) used a 6x139.7 (6x5.5) pattern with a 78.3mm hub bore. The 1995-2004 S-10 Blazer in both 2WD and 4WD form moved to a 5x120.7 (5x4.75) pattern with a 70.3mm hub bore. The modern 2019 and up Blazer is on a different vehicle architecture entirely and runs 6x120 with a 66.9mm hub bore on the GM E2 unibody crossover platform.

Wheels do not cross between the eras. The 5x127 of the early 2WD Blazer and the 6x139.7 of the early 4WD Blazer are not even the same lug count, so the swap is mechanically impossible. The 5x120.7 of the 1995-2004 S-10 Blazer is close on paper to the older 5x127 (a 6mm difference in bolt circle and a 5-lug match) but it is still well outside the tolerance any wheel can absorb. The modern Blazer's 6x120 is its own pattern and does not match any of the earlier body-on-frame Blazers. Confirm your year and drivetrain before ordering. Why the 2019 Blazer Is a Different Vehicle From the Truck-Era Blazer

Chevrolet revived the Blazer name in 2019 on a completely different vehicle. The 2019 and up Blazer is a unibody five passenger crossover SUV built on the GM E2 platform, the same crossover architecture that underpins the current GMC Acadia. The 1983-2005 Blazer was a body-on-frame truck with solid rear axle architecture and a separate frame structure. The two vehicles share the badge and nothing else mechanically. The modern Blazer is front wheel drive based with optional all wheel drive, where the older Blazer was rear drive based with optional 4WD using a transfer case. Suspension geometry, ride height, brake size, fender clearance, and the entire fitment window are different on the modern crossover.

The modern Blazer trims (L, LT, RS, Premier) do not change the bolt-on architecture. Bolt pattern, hub bore, and lug spec are identical across all four trims. The RS trim is the sport-styled trim, not a performance variant with different brakes or wheels. Higher trims ship with larger factory wheels from the dealer (20 inch on RS and Premier, 18 inch on L and LT) but the bolt pattern and hub bore stay the same. The Blazer EV (2024 and up) is a separate battery electric vehicle on the GM BEV3 platform with its own bolt-on architecture, and we are not yet publishing aftermarket fitment specs for the Blazer EV.

How We Confirm Fitment on Chevrolet Blazer Wheels

Element Wheels measures fitment on the platforms we sell wheels for, including each Blazer era. For the body-on-frame Blazer that means measuring the truck-era brake clearance, hub protrusion, lug seat depth on the 5x127 / 5x120.7 / 6x139.7 hubs, and the leaf or coil suspension clearance with larger aftermarket diameters installed. For the modern 2019 and up unibody Blazer we measure on the crossover directly, including wheel to fender clearance on both axles, gap between the back of the wheel and the suspension, brake caliper height, and turning clearance with 22 to 24 inch wheels installed. At our fitment facility in Chandler, Arizona, the Element Wheels team measures directly on the physical platforms we support. We don't pull specs from manufacturer sheets the way most retailers do.
