The Chevrolet Prizm Bolt Pattern

The Chevrolet Prizm uses a 4x100 bolt pattern with a 54.1mm hub bore and an M12x1.5 lug thread. 4x100 is one of the most common 4-lug patterns in the global compact car segment. The Prizm shares the 4x100 spec with the Toyota Corolla of the same generation (the underlying car is the same), the older 4-lug Honda Civic, the older Toyota Yaris and Echo, the Mini Cooper R50 and R53, and a long list of Mazda, Hyundai, and Kia compacts. That overlap matters because it expands the aftermarket wheel selection for the Prizm well beyond what would be available if Chevrolet had used a Chevy-specific pattern. The simplest way to confirm your Prizm is 4-lug is to count the lug nuts on one wheel. Four studs means 4x100 on every Prizm built from 1989 through 2002.

Important distinction: 4x100 is NOT the same as 4x108 or 4x114.3. They look similar at a glance and the studs do not align cleanly across patterns. Confirm any wheel listing says 4x100 specifically. The Prizm's 54.1mm hub bore is the Toyota Corolla hub bore, smaller than most aftermarket 4x100 wheels are bored from the factory. Many aftermarket 4x100 wheels are bored larger to be more universal across the segment, so hub centric rings are commonly part of a Prizm fitment. Why Prizm Fitment Is Stable Across Every Year

The Prizm ran on the same NUMMI-built Toyota Corolla platform across both the Geo era (1989-1997) and the Chevrolet era (1998-2002). The Geo Prizm used the Corolla E90 chassis from 1989 through 1992 and the E100 chassis from 1993 through 1997. The Chevrolet Prizm used the Corolla E110 chassis from 1998 through 2002. All three generations of the underlying Corolla kept the same 4x100 bolt pattern, 54.1mm hub bore, and M12x1.5 lug thread, so the Prizm's hub geometry is stable across the entire 14-year run. Base, LSi, and the early-2000s LSi sedan trims share the same bolt pattern, hub bore, lug thread, and brake spec on the catalog. There is no factory performance Prizm in the U.S. market that would have warranted a different hub or brake spec.

The diameter window we comfortably measure on the Prizm runs 14 inch on the low end up to 18 inch on the show-build end. Factory wheels were 13 to 14 inch. 15 to 16 inch is the most common Prizm aftermarket choice for daily driving. 17 to 18 inch is the show-build top end.
