Chevrolet sold this rear-drive, 6.2L LS3 V8 sedan in the US from 2014 through the 2017 model year, when Holden stopped building the Commodore VF in Australia and the supply ran out. The SS Sport Sedan is the Holden Commodore VF rebadged for the US market; same Australian-engineered Zeta chassis, same LS3 V8 powertrain, same RHD-developed platform converted to LHD for the US (and a small number of police-car SSV variants in other markets). That same-chassis fact matters for wheel fitment: a wheel built for a Holden Commodore VF will fit a Chevrolet SS Sport Sedan in terms of bolt pattern and hub bore, because the cars are mechanically the same car under different badges. The Chevrolet SS Sport Sedan uses 5x120 with a 66.9mm hub bore. The 5x120 pattern is also the BMW luxury-car pattern, but the hub bores do not match: BMW 5x120 is bored 72.56mm, the SS Sport Sedan 5x120 is bored 66.9mm. A BMW-bored wheel will physically bolt onto the SS Sport Sedan hub if the bolt circle matches, but the cap will not sit flush against the hub and the lug-stress geometry is not what Chevrolet engineered for; we recommend running a 72.56-to-66.9mm hub centric ring if you are mounting BMW-bored wheels on an SS, or sticking to GM-bored wheels in the first place.

The same-chassis fact with the Holden Commodore VF is genuinely useful here, because Holden Commodore VF aftermarket wheels were marketed for years before the SS Sport Sedan reached the US. A Commodore VF-spec wheel from an Australian-market vendor is the same fitment as a US-market SS Sport Sedan wheel, including the 5x120 / 66.9mm pattern, the Brembo brake clearance, and the offset window. That is one of the few cross-brand fitment claims we make confidently, because the cars are mechanically identical. Why We Split the SS Sport Sedan Into Two Fitment Leaves

The standard SS Sport Sedan fitment covers daily-driver, show, and street-aggressive builds. It accepts staggered as an option, runs an 8 to 9 inch front and a 9 to 10.5 inch rear wheel, and the diameter window stretches from 17 inch (close to OEM size) up to 20 inch. The factory Brembo front caliper is large enough that the front wheel runs a wider clearance window than the rear, which is normal on a rear-drive performance sedan with a 415 horsepower LS3 V8 putting torque down out back. The front axle handles the majority of the braking; the front brake is sized for that and the front wheel is sized to clear it.

The drag-racing fitment is a different leaf because it is a different setup goal. Customers building an SS Sport Sedan for the drag strip want a 17x10 must-staggered rear so the car can run a slick or a 295-class drag tire on the rear axle. The drag leaf runs a narrower 7.5 to 8 inch front (the front does not need to clear the same wide tire as the rear), keeps the rear at 9 to 10.5 inch, and locks the setup to must-staggered. The brake clearance on the drag fitment is the same Brembo hardware; what differs is the offset and width windows we recommend. One specific rule from our shop measurements: to run a 295/30/20 tire on the rear, the rear wheel offset must be +47mm or higher. Below +47, the 295 fouls the inner suspension. Robert removed the 295 option from the storefront catalog because the setup is problematic at scale, even when the offset math works on paper; the inner clearance margin is small enough that production tolerances on the wheel can make or break the install.
