Chevrolet Venture Aftermarket Wheel Fitment
The Chevrolet Venture is the U-body minivan Chevrolet sold from 1997 through 2005, the Chevrolet that preceded the Uplander on the same GM U-body chassis. The Venture launched the U-body minivan platform in 1997 and ran through the 2005 model year before Chevrolet replaced it with the refreshed Uplander for the 2005-2009 generation. Element Wheels measures fitment on the 1997-2005 Venture across the full production run, in both the short and extended body lengths and across the LS, LT, and Warner Bros. Edition trims. Every Venture trim shares the same hub: 5x115 bolt pattern, 70.3mm hub bore, M12x1.5 lug thread, 5 lugs. The Venture's diameter window runs 15 to 20 inch and the width window runs 6 to 8.5 inch. Pick the catalog row below.
Find Your Chevrolet Venture Generation
The 1997-2005 Venture is the only Venture generation Chevrolet built. The Venture is the U-body launch model for the GM minivan family of that era and stayed on the same chassis for the entire 9-year production run. Chevrolet replaced the Venture with the Uplander for the 2005 model year on a refreshed U-body. The Venture catalog row below covers every Venture year, both body lengths, and every trim.
The Chevrolet Venture Bolt Pattern
The 1997-2005 Chevrolet Venture uses a 5x115 bolt pattern with a 70.3mm hub bore and an M12x1.5 lug thread. 5x115 is the standard GM passenger-car and crossover pattern of the era. The Venture shares the 5x115 spec with the Chevrolet Impala, Monte Carlo, Malibu, and Equinox of the same period, along with the FWD versions of the U-body minivan family. The simplest way to confirm your Venture is 5-lug is to count the lug nuts on one wheel. Five studs means 5x115 on every Venture from 1997 through 2005.
Important distinction: 5x115 is NOT the same as 5x114.3, even though the numbers look close. The two patterns are 0.7mm apart at the bolt circle, which is past the wheel-machining tolerance you can rely on. Running a 5x114.3 wheel on a 5x115 hub puts stress on the studs at the most loaded part of the wheel and is not safe. Confirm any wheel listing says 5x115 specifically before ordering for a Venture. Compare across the rest of the Chevy lineup at our Chevrolet wheels and rims hub.
Why Venture Fitment Is Stable Across Every Trim
The Venture rode on the GM U-body minivan platform across all nine production years. Base, LS, LT, and the Warner Bros. Edition trims of the same model year share the same bolt pattern, hub bore, lug thread, and brake package on the catalog. The Venture was offered in two body lengths (a short-wheelbase and an extended-wheelbase) and the hub geometry is identical between them. A wheel that fits a 1999 Venture LS short-wheelbase also fits a 2004 Venture LT extended-wheelbase on bolt pattern, hub bore, and lug thread. The Venture body styling refreshed mid-cycle in 2001, but the hub stayed the same. There is no factory performance Venture in the U.S. market that would have warranted a different hub or brake spec.
The Venture is a same-platform twin to the Pontiac Trans Sport (1997-1998), the Pontiac Montana (1999-2005), and the Oldsmobile Silhouette (1997-2004) built on the GM U-body chassis. All four nameplates share the same 5x115 bolt pattern, 70.3mm hub bore, and M12x1.5 lug thread on the FWD U-body chassis. A wheel that fits a 2000 Venture also fits a 2000 Montana or Silhouette of the same drivetrain.
The diameter window we comfortably measure on the Venture runs 15 inch on the low end up to 20 inch on the show-build end. Factory wheels were 15 to 16 inch. 17 to 18 inch is the most common Venture aftermarket choice. 19 to 20 inch is the upper end. We measure each variant directly so the catalog reflects what actually clears the fender and the brake on the U-body minivan body.

How We Confirm Fitment on Chevrolet Venture Wheels
Element Wheels measures fitment on the Venture directly, across both body lengths and across the LS, LT, and Warner Bros. trim levels. For the Venture that means hub bore confirmation at 70.3mm, clearance from the wheel to the fender on a stock-height minivan body, gap between the back of the wheel and the front strut on the U-body platform, brake caliper height at the standard U-body spec, lug seat depth, and lug thread confirmation at M12x1.5. At our fitment facility in Chandler, Arizona, the Element Wheels team measures directly on the physical platforms we support. We don't pull specs from manufacturer sheets the way most retailers do.
Chevrolet Venture Wheels and Rims FAQ
What is the bolt pattern on a Chevrolet Venture?
The 1997-2005 Chevrolet Venture uses a 5x115 bolt pattern with a 70.3mm hub bore and an M12x1.5 lug thread. Every Venture trim (LS, LT, Warner Bros., short and extended wheelbase) shares the same 5-lug hub geometry across the full production run.
Is the Venture 5x115 the same as 5x114.3?
No. 5x115 and 5x114.3 are two different bolt patterns. The numbers look close, but they are 0.7mm apart at the bolt circle, which is past the wheel-machining tolerance you can rely on. Running a 5x114.3 wheel on a 5x115 hub puts stress on the studs at the most loaded part of the wheel and is not safe. Some adapter shops will tell you they're interchangeable. They are not. Confirm any wheel listing says 5x115 specifically before ordering for a Venture.
Will Chevrolet Uplander wheels fit a Chevrolet Venture?
Only the FWD Uplander wheels. The 2005-2009 Chevrolet Uplander FWD uses the same 5x115 / 70.3mm / 5-lug hub as the Venture, so a FWD Uplander wheel bolts up cleanly. The AWD Uplander uses a 6x115 / 6-lug hub, which does not fit the Venture. Both the Venture and the FWD Uplander ride on the same GM U-body chassis, so wheel well geometry is close, but confirm the offset and width sit inside our measured Venture window before ordering.
Will Pontiac Montana or Oldsmobile Silhouette wheels fit a Venture?
Yes. The Chevrolet Venture (1997-2005), Pontiac Trans Sport (1997-1998) / Pontiac Montana (1999-2005), and Oldsmobile Silhouette (1997-2004) are all the same GM U-body minivan platform. All four share the 5x115 bolt pattern, 70.3mm hub bore, and M12x1.5 lug thread on the FWD chassis. A wheel that fits a 2000 Venture also fits a 2000 Montana or Silhouette. Confirm the wheel listing was fit-tested on a U-body minivan body specifically.
Will Chevrolet Impala 5x115 wheels fit a Venture?
Pattern yes, full fitment confirm. The Chevrolet Impala, Monte Carlo, Malibu, and Equinox of the same era share the 5x115 bolt pattern and 70.3mm hub bore with the Venture. The Impala and the Venture have different wheel well geometry (sedan versus minivan), so offset and width windows differ. Confirm the wheel listing was fit-tested on a minivan body specifically before ordering for a Venture.
What is the hub bore on a Chevrolet Venture?
70.3mm across every Chevrolet Venture from 1997 through 2005. Most aftermarket 5x115 wheels are bored larger than 70.3mm to fit a wider range of GM vehicles, so hub centric rings are commonly part of a Venture fitment. If your fitment needs rings, they'll be included with the order.
What is the largest wheel I can fit on a Chevrolet Venture?
20 inch is the top of our measured aftermarket window on the Venture. The factory wheel range was 15 to 16 inch. 17 to 18 inch is the most common Venture aftermarket upgrade for everyday driving. 19 to 20 inch is the show-build top end. Going larger than 20 inch on a U-body minivan compresses the tire sidewall to a point that ride quality on the minivan suspension is unworkable for the family hauler use case.
Is the Chevrolet Venture discontinued?
Yes. Chevrolet ended Venture production after the 2005 model year and replaced it with the Uplander for the 2005-2009 generation on a refreshed U-body chassis. The Uplander then ended production in 2009, and Chevrolet exited the U.S. minivan segment entirely. Our catalog continues to support the 1997-2005 Venture indefinitely.
