The Ferrari 812 Bolt Pattern and Hub Bore

Every Ferrari 812 from 2018 through 2024 runs 5x114.3 with a 67.1mm hub bore and M14x1.5 lug bolts. The 5x114.3 pattern (sometimes written as 5x4.5 because 114.3mm equals 4.5 inches) is the modern Ferrari spec, adopted with the 458 and now shared across the 488, F8, California, Portofino, Roma, 612, SF90, and Purosangue. It is the most common five lug pattern in the aftermarket so wheel selection on the 812 is wider than on the older 5x108 Ferraris. The 67.1mm hub bore is the Ferrari modern lineup centerbore and is tighter than the 5x114.3 patterns used on Japanese platforms (typically 64.1mm or 70.5mm) and tighter than the German 5x112 platforms (typically 66.5mm or 66.6mm). Aftermarket wheels designed for the broader 5x114.3 market often run a larger centerbore and need hub centric rings to step down to 67.1mm on the 812.

The lug spec is M14x1.5 bolts (not studs with separate nuts). Ferrari threads lug bolts directly into the hub the same way most European manufacturers do. There is no stud to pre align the wheel before tightening, so the hub centric fit matters more on an 812 than on a stud and nut car. Why the 812 Carbon Ceramic Brake Package Sets the Wheel Face Window

Every 812 ships with carbon ceramic Brembo brakes as standard. There is no steel brake option from the factory. That means the wheel face clearance window is set by the carbon ceramic caliper across the entire 812 lineup, including the 812 Superfast coupe, the 812 GTS convertible, and the limited Competizione and Competizione A trims. The carbon ceramic caliper face is physically large and takes meaningful room behind the wheel spokes, so wheels with deeply concave back surfaces need verification against the 812 brake package. The front brake is larger than the rear on the 812, which is normal on a performance grand tourer of this caliber. The front axle handles the majority of the braking load on a front engine, rear drive V12 and Ferrari scaled the front rotor and caliper accordingly.

The 812 is factory staggered with a wider rear wheel and a wider rear tire than the front. Ferrari engineered the chassis around a front mounted 6.5L V12 with rear wheel drive, putting the drivetrain mass forward of the cabin and the power delivery at the rear axle. The factory ships a noticeably wider rear wheel to plant the V12's output and balance the visual stance, and the aftermarket window respects that staggered geometry. Square setups (same width front and rear) are not how the 812 is meant to run.
