Fiat 500 Aftermarket Wheel Fitment
The modern Fiat 500 is the iconic compact city car Fiat revived for the global market in 2007. Element Wheels measures the Fiat 500 across the gasoline 500 and 500C convertible (2012-2019 in NA), the Abarth performance variant of the same chassis (2012-2019), and the all-electric 500e (2024 and up, the current production car). Every 4-lug Fiat 500 in our catalog uses 4x98 with a 58.1mm hub bore and M12x1.25 lug bolts. The 4-lug pattern is unusual on modern vehicles outside the small-car segment, and the 58.1mm hub bore is a Fiat small-car spec not shared with any common American or VW platform. The 500X compact crossover is a different platform (5x110, 65.1mm hub bore) and is not in scope for this hub. Pick your generation and variant below for the fitment specs that apply to your specific 500.
Find Your Fiat 500 Generation
Pick your variant to see wheels and rims that fit your specific 500. Bolt pattern is 4x98 with a 58.1mm hub bore on every 4-lug Fiat 500 we track. Lug bolts are M12x1.25. The standard 500 and 500C convertible share fitment. The Abarth shares fitment with the standard car. The all-electric 500e (2024 and up) carries the same 4x98 / 58.1mm hub spec forward as the current production Fiat 500.
The Fiat 500 Bolt Pattern: 4x98 and Why It Matters
Every 4-lug Fiat 500 in our catalog uses 4x98 with a 58.1mm hub bore and M12x1.25 lug bolts. The 4x98 pattern is a Fiat small-car standard shared with other Fiat compacts (Panda, Punto) and historically with some older Lancia cars. It is NOT 4x100, even though the two patterns look identical to the eye. The 2mm difference between 4x98 and 4x100 is real and matters. A 4x100 wheel sometimes appears to bolt onto a 4x98 hub at three of the four lug holes while binding on the fourth, which is the most common Fiat 500 fitment mistake we see. Do not run a 4x100 wheel on a 4x98 Fiat. The studs and lug holes will not align cleanly and the wheel will not seat flush against the hub face. Count your lug holes and verify the pattern as exactly 4x98 before ordering.
The 58.1mm hub bore is a Fiat small-car spec not shared with VW Group, BMW, Honda, Toyota, or any common American hub. A Fiat 500 wheel does not cross to any of those platforms even when the bolt count happens to match. Lug bolts on the 500 are M12x1.25, smaller than the M12x1.5 spec used on most Asian small cars and meaningfully smaller than the M14x1.5 spec used on the modern VW lineup. Use M12x1.25 conical-seat lug bolts only.
The 500X compact crossover (offered in NA 2016-2023) is a different platform entirely. The 500X uses 5x110 with a 65.1mm hub bore and is not interchangeable with the 4-lug 500. The 500X has its own model page and is not covered by this hub. Compare across the rest of the Fiat lineup at our Fiat wheels and rims hub.
Why the Abarth, 500C, and 500e Share the Same Fiat 500 Fitment Box
The Fiat 500 (2012-2019) and the 500C convertible (2012-2019) share the same chassis, the same 4x98 / 58.1mm hub spec, the same M12x1.25 lug bolts, and the same aftermarket wheel window. The 500C is the open-top version of the 500 with a folding canvas roof. The hardware below the body is the same. The Abarth performance variant (2012-2019) uses the same hub spec and the same aftermarket window as the standard 500 and 500C. The Abarth's larger brakes and stiffer suspension do not change the bolt pattern, the hub bore, or the practical wheel window. We track the Abarth as its own catalog row for separation but the fitment is interchangeable with the standard 500 of the same year. The Fiat 500 (gasoline) was discontinued in North America after the 2019 model year.
The all-electric Fiat 500e (2024 and up) is the current production Fiat 500 in North America, reintroduced in 2024 as an EV. The 500e shares the 4x98 bolt pattern, the 58.1mm hub bore, and the M12x1.25 lug bolt spec with the older gasoline 500. The electric powertrain does not change the wheel hub geometry. The 500e runs a 16 to 18 inch aftermarket diameter window and accepts 6 to 7.5 inch wide aftermarket wheels. The aftermarket window is narrower than on some larger cars because the 500 is a compact car with limited fender opening. Square (non-staggered) is the factory and recommended configuration on every Fiat 500.
Element Wheels Measured Aftermarket Fitment, Fiat 500
Publishable factory and wheel specs across the Fiat 500 variants:

Offset windows are controlled by the Fiat 500 fender opening and brake clearance. For your exact aftermarket offset, three options:
- 1. Use our Year/Make/Model search to see wheels that fit your specific Fiat 500 (each listing shows its own offset).
- 2. Browse the Fiat 500 wheel gallery for real-life builds with size, offset, and tire spec captions.
- 3. Call or chat with our team for a free fitment consultation.
Every wheel we recommend is backed by our Fitment Guarantee. If a wheel does not fit, we pick up the wheels and refund 100 percent. No risk to you.
How We Confirm Fitment on Fiat 500 Wheels
Element Wheels measures fitment on the platforms we sell wheels for, including the Fiat 500. For the 500 that means clearance from the wheel to the fender on the standard 500, the 500C convertible, and the Abarth, gap between the back of the wheel and the suspension across the gasoline and 500e chassis, brake caliper height across base and Abarth packages, hub bore confirmation at 58.1mm, and lug bolt seat depth for M12x1.25 bolts. The 4x98 pattern is similar enough to 4x100 to confuse, so the physical hub measurement is critical rather than relying on a parts-store cross reference. At our fitment facility in Chandler, Arizona, the Element Wheels team measures directly on the physical platforms we support. We don't pull specs from manufacturer sheets the way most retailers do.
Fiat 500 Wheels and Rims FAQ
What is the bolt pattern on a Fiat 500?
Every 4-lug Fiat 500 uses 4x98 with a 58.1mm hub bore and M12x1.25 lug bolts. That covers the standard 500 and 500C (2012-2019), the Abarth (2012-2019), and the all-electric 500e (2024 and up). The 4x98 pattern is a Fiat small-car standard, NOT the same as 4x100. The 2mm difference matters. The 500X compact crossover uses a different 5x110 bolt pattern and is not in scope for this hub.
What is the most common Fiat 500 fitment mistake?
Buying a 4x100 wheel for a 4x98 car. The two patterns look identical to the eye and a 4x100 wheel will sometimes appear to bolt onto a 4x98 hub at three of the four lug holes while binding on the fourth. The studs and lug holes will not align cleanly, the wheel will not seat flush against the hub face, and the result is a wheel that wobbles or comes loose under load. 4x98 is a Fiat small-car spec. 4x100 is a Mini, Mazda, and old Honda Civic spec. They do not cross. Verify the pattern as exactly 4x98 before ordering.
What is the centerbore on a Fiat 500?
58.1mm across every 4-lug Fiat 500 in our catalog (gasoline 500 / 500C, Abarth, and 500e). A wheel bored to 58.1mm sits hub-centric. The 58.1mm hub bore is a Fiat small-car spec not shared with VW Group, BMW, Honda, Toyota, or any common American hub. A Fiat 500 wheel does not cross to any of those platforms even when the bolt count happens to match.
Does the Abarth take a different wheel than the standard Fiat 500?
No. The Abarth performance variant of the 2012-2019 Fiat 500 shares the same 4x98 bolt pattern, the same 58.1mm hub bore, the same M12x1.25 lug bolts, and the same 16 to 18 inch aftermarket window as the standard 500 and 500C. The Abarth's larger brakes and stiffer suspension do not change the wheel hub geometry. We track the Abarth as its own catalog row for separation, but a wheel that fits the standard 500 fits the Abarth.
Will gasoline 500 wheels fit the electric 500e?
Yes, the bolt-on spec crosses. The gasoline 500 (2012-2019) and the 500e (2024 and up) both run 4x98 with a 58.1mm hub bore and M12x1.25 lug bolts. A wheel that fit a 2017 Fiat 500 will bolt to a 2024 500e. The 500e is a heavier car because of the battery, so we verify load rating on the wheel and tire combination, and the fender clearance differs slightly between the two body generations. The Year/Make/Model search returns wheels fit-tested on your specific car so the load rating and offset match.
Is the Fiat 500 still being made?
Yes, as the all-electric 500e (2024 and up). The gasoline Fiat 500 was discontinued in North America after the 2019 model year. Fiat reintroduced the platform in 2024 as the 500e, an all-electric city car. The 500e is the current production Fiat 500 in NA. Both the older gasoline 500 / 500C / Abarth and the current 500e are supported on this hub.
Do I need hub centric rings on a Fiat 500?
Hub centric rings only when the aftermarket wheel has a centerbore larger than 58.1mm. If your fitment needs rings, they'll be included with the order.
How do I find the right wheels for my specific Fiat 500?
Confirm your specific 500. Standard 500 / 500C (2012-2019), Abarth (2012-2019), or 500e electric (2024 and up). All three use 4x98 with a 58.1mm hub bore and M12x1.25 lug bolts. The aftermarket diameter window is 16 to 18 inch with 6 to 7.5 inch wide wheels. If you have the 500X crossover, the bolt pattern is different (5x110) and that platform is not in scope for this hub. Use our Year/Make/Model search to see wheels that fit your specific car and browse the wheel gallery for real-life builds. Every wheel we recommend is backed by the Fitment Guarantee.
