Genesis GV80 Aftermarket Wheel Fitment
The Genesis GV80 is the brand's full-size luxury SUV, the flagship of the Genesis SUV lineup and the GV70's bigger sibling. It launched as a 2021 model and competes with the BMW X5, the Mercedes GLE, and the Lexus RX. Every GV80 from launch through the current model year runs the Hyundai and Kia luxury 5x114.3 bolt pattern with a 67.1mm hub bore, an M14x1.5 thread, and a 5 lug count. The factory ships the GV80 with 19 inch wheels on base trims, 20 inch on most mid trims, and 22 inch on the higher Sport trims. The Sport package ships with a larger front brake than the base trims, which is the standard configuration on a performance luxury SUV where the front axle handles most of the braking force. Element Wheels has measured fitment across both brake packages from 19 inch through 24 inch. The GV80 is a square (non-staggered) fitment.
The Genesis GV80 Bolt Pattern
Every Genesis GV80 from 2021 and up runs 5x114.3 with a 67.1mm hub bore. The imperial nickname for this pattern is 5x4.5 because 114.3mm equals 4.5 inches exactly. The lug count is 5, the thread pitch is M14x1.5, and the hub spec is shared across the Genesis sedan and SUV lineup, including the G70, G80, and G90 sedans. If you also own a Genesis sedan, the bolt-on architecture is identical even though the actual wheel and tire size you would shop for differs because the GV80 is taller, wider, and runs a larger brake package.
One detail worth flagging because we have seen it confuse buyers. 5x114.3 is NOT the same pattern as 5x115. The two sit roughly 0.7mm apart on the hub circle and a wheel built for one will not properly seat on the other. The GV80 is 5x114.3 only. The imperial nickname 5x4.5 refers to 5x114.3 specifically (114.3mm equals 4.5 inches). The 5x115 pattern lives on some American sedans like the Chrysler 300 and the Dodge Charger, and those wheels will not fit your GV80. When you are shopping, confirm the wheel listing says 5x114.3 specifically. Compare across the rest of the Genesis lineup at our Genesis wheels and rims hub.
Why the GV80 Sport Trim Changes the Fitment Window
The GV80 ships in a base brake configuration on the 2.5T inline-four trims and the 3.5T V6 trims, and in a larger Sport brake configuration on the 3.5T Sport and higher trims. Front larger than rear on the Sport is the normal configuration for a performance luxury SUV. The front axle does most of the braking work on a heavy three-row SUV and Genesis scales the front rotor and caliper accordingly. The Sport brake package raises the floor on usable wheel diameter and changes inner-barrel clearance requirements on the front wheel. We track the base and Sport brake variants separately in our catalog so the Year/Make/Model search returns only wheels fit-tested against the brake package on your specific GV80. Bolt pattern, hub bore, and lug spec are identical across both trims.
The factory configuration is square (same width front and rear) on every GV80 trim. Both rear wheel drive and all wheel drive (HTRAC) GV80s share the same wheel fitment box. Drivetrain is not a variable on this platform.
Element Wheels Measured Aftermarket Fitment, Genesis GV80
Publishable factory and wheel specs across the GV80 brake packages:
- GV80 Base Brakes (2.5T and 3.5T non-Sport trims, 2021 and up): 5x114.3 bolt pattern, 67.1mm hub bore, M14x1.5 thread, 5 lug. Element aftermarket diameter range: 19 to 24 inch. Element aftermarket width range: 8.5 to 10 inch. Square (non-staggered) fitment.
- GV80 Sport Brakes (3.5T Sport and higher trims, 2021 and up): 5x114.3 bolt pattern, 67.1mm hub bore, M14x1.5 thread, 5 lug. Element aftermarket diameter range: 19 to 24 inch. Element aftermarket width range: 8.5 to 10 inch. Square (non-staggered) fitment. Larger front brake package limits inner-barrel clearance on aggressive front offsets.
Offset windows depend on the brake package. For your exact aftermarket offset, three options:
- 1. Use our Year/Make/Model search to see wheels that fit your specific GV80 (each listing shows its own offset).
- 2. Browse the GV80 wheel gallery for real-life builds with size, offset, and tire spec captions.
- 3. Call or chat with our team for a free fitment consultation.
How We Confirm Fitment on Genesis GV80 Wheels
Element Wheels measures fitment on the platforms we sell wheels for, including both GV80 brake variants. For the GV80 that means clearance from the wheel to the fender, gap between the back of the wheel and the suspension, brake caliper height on the base and Sport packages, hub bore confirmation at 67.1mm, lug nut height (M14x1.5 thread), and turning clearance with the larger 22 to 24 inch wheel diameters installed. At our fitment facility in Chandler, Arizona, the Element Wheels team measures directly on the physical platforms we support. We don't pull specs from manufacturer sheets the way most retailers do.
Every wheel we recommend is backed by our Fitment Guarantee. If a wheel does not fit, we pick up the wheels and refund 100 percent. No risk to you.
Genesis GV80 Wheels and Rims FAQ
What is the bolt pattern on a Genesis GV80?
Every Genesis GV80 from 2021 and up runs 5x114.3 with a 67.1mm hub bore. The imperial nickname for this pattern is 5x4.5 because 114.3mm equals 4.5 inches. The lug count is 5 and the thread pitch is M14x1.5. The bolt pattern is shared across the Genesis sedan and SUV lineup, including the G70, G80, and G90 sedans.
Does the GV80 Sport trim change the wheel I can buy?
The Sport trim (3.5T Sport and higher) ships with a larger front brake package than the base 2.5T and 3.5T non-Sport trims. Front larger than rear on the Sport is the normal configuration for a performance luxury SUV. Bolt pattern, hub bore, and lug spec are identical across the trims. The variable is brake clearance, which limits inner-barrel space on aggressive front offsets and sets the wheel-diameter floor. Our Year/Make/Model search returns only wheels fit-tested against the brake package on your specific GV80.
What is the factory wheel size on a GV80?
Factory wheel size depends on the trim. Base 2.5T trims typically ship with 19 inch wheels. Mid trims step up to 20 inch. The 3.5T Sport and higher trims ship with 22 inch wheels from the factory. Every trim uses the same 5x114.3 bolt pattern and 67.1mm hub bore, so the bolt-on architecture is identical across trims even when the factory wheel diameter differs.
Is 5x114.3 the same as 5x115 on a Genesis GV80?
No. 5x114.3 and 5x115 are different bolt patterns and the wheels do not interchange. They look close on paper but the studs sit about 0.7mm apart, which is enough to stress the lugs and the hub if you force the wrong wheel onto the SUV. The GV80 is 5x114.3 only. The imperial nickname 5x4.5 refers to 5x114.3 specifically (114.3mm equals 4.5 inches). The 5x115 pattern lives on some American sedans like the Chrysler 300 and Dodge Charger, and those wheels will not fit your GV80.
Do Genesis G80 wheels fit a GV80?
Bolt pattern matches. The G80 sedan and the GV80 SUV both run 5x114.3 with a 67.1mm hub bore. What changes is the fitment window. The GV80 is a taller, wider SUV with a larger brake package on the Sport trim and a different offset window than the G80 sedan. A wheel sized for a G80 will not necessarily fill the GV80 fender properly. Use the Year/Make/Model search to confirm a wheel was fit-tested on the GV80 specifically.
What is the largest wheel I can fit on a Genesis GV80?
Our measured aftermarket window on the GV80 tops at 24 inch diameter. Most aftermarket GV80 buyers land at 22 inch, which matches the factory Sport-trim wheel size and keeps the ride quality a luxury SUV needs. 24 inch is the upper limit and requires the right tire profile to keep the lip safe from curb damage. 19 inch is the floor. Below that the wheel face sits too small for the GV80's proportions and the Sport trim brake package does not clear smaller diameters.
Are Genesis GV80 wheels staggered?
No. The GV80 runs square (same width front and rear) in every factory configuration we have measured. The aftermarket sticks to square as well, since the GV80 is a family-friendly luxury SUV where rotation between front and rear is part of the maintenance routine and a square setup keeps tire rotation simple.
Do I need hub centric rings on a Genesis GV80?
Hub centric rings only when the aftermarket wheel has a centerbore larger than 67.1mm. If your fitment needs rings, they'll be included with the order.
