GMC Acadia Aftermarket Wheel Fitment
The GMC Acadia is GM's three-row crossover and the GMC-badged sibling of the Chevrolet Traverse. Element Wheels measures the Acadia across three generations: the 1st gen Lambda platform (2007-2016), the Acadia Limited carryover (a one-year 2017 holdover on the Lambda body), and the 2nd gen C1XX platform (2017-2023). The 3rd gen Acadia returned for 2024 on a refreshed C1XX architecture. The Acadia's bolt pattern changed at the platform transition. The Lambda generation (2007-2016 plus 2017 Acadia Limited) runs 6x132 with a 74.5mm hub bore. The C1XX generation (2017-2023, all models excluding Limited) moved to 6x120 with a 66.9mm hub bore. The 3rd gen (2024 and up) continues 6x120 and 66.9mm. The 2017 model year is the trap on this crossover. GMC sold TWO different Acadias for 2017: the Acadia Limited (Lambda carryover, 6x132) and the new 2nd gen Acadia (C1XX, 6x120). Find your generation below and the fitment specs follow.
Find Your GMC Acadia Generation
Pick your year range to see wheels and rims that fit your specific Acadia. The 2017 model year is the year to confirm carefully. The Acadia Limited (Lambda body) sold alongside the all-new 2017 C1XX Acadia in the same model year, on two different bolt patterns. Check the badge on the tailgate. "Acadia Limited" is Lambda 6x132. "Acadia" without the Limited tag is C1XX 6x120.
The GMC Acadia Bolt Pattern Changed at the C1XX Transition
The 1st gen Lambda Acadia (2007-2016) and the 2017 Acadia Limited carryover run 6x132 with a 74.5mm hub bore and 14x1.5 thread pitch. 6x132 is a 6-lug pattern shared with the Lambda-platform Chevrolet Traverse, Buick Enclave, and Saturn Outlook of that same generation. The Lambda Acadia is the larger crossover body. Wheel selection on the Lambda generation is constrained by 6x132 availability, which is a less common aftermarket bolt pattern than 6x139.7. Most Element catalog Acadia wheels for the Lambda generation are 18 to 22 inch diameters with 8 to 9.5 inch widths.
The 2nd gen C1XX Acadia (2017-2023, excluding the 2017 Acadia Limited Lambda carryover) moved to 6x120 with a 66.9mm hub bore. 6x120 is the same 6-lug pattern used on the GMC Canyon 2nd gen, the Chevrolet Colorado 2nd gen, the Chevrolet Trailblazer, and several modern GM crossovers. Hub bore is 66.9mm. Thread pitch stays at 14x1.5. The C1XX Acadia is a smaller crossover body than the Lambda Acadia. GM downsized the Acadia at the platform change.
The 3rd gen Acadia (2024 and up) continues 6x120 with the 66.9mm hub bore and 14x1.5 thread pitch. GM upsized the 3rd gen body again, closer to the Lambda's original footprint, but kept the C1XX-era bolt pattern. The 6x120 hub-bore-and-stud-spacing combination is the same as the 2017-2023 C1XX Acadia, so 2nd and 3rd gen wheels cross-bolt at the wheel-to-hub interface. Confirm width and offset against your specific year. Compare across the rest of the GMC lineup at our GMC wheels and rims hub.
Acadia vs Traverse, the 2017 Limited Trap, and Trim Notes
The GMC Acadia and the Chevrolet Traverse share platforms across every generation from 2007 forward. The Lambda generation Acadia (2007-2016) and Lambda Traverse (2009-2017) ran 6x132 with the 74.5mm hub bore. The C1XX Acadia (2017-2023) and C1XX Traverse (2018+) moved to 6x120 with the 66.9mm hub bore. Same bolt pattern, same hub bore, same thread pitch. Wheels measured against the Traverse can cross to the Acadia of the same generation, but always confirm the listing was tested on both vehicles before ordering. Width and offset windows are measured per body, not assumed from a sibling platform.
The 2017 model year is where customers get tripped up. GMC sold the Acadia Limited (a one-year carryover of the Lambda body on the older 6x132 pattern) alongside the brand-new 2017 C1XX Acadia (6x120) in the same model year. The tailgate badge is the tell. "Acadia Limited" with the Limited designation is the Lambda 6x132 carryover. "Acadia" without the Limited tag is the C1XX 6x120 new platform. The Acadia Limited was sold only for 2017 and only as a holdover for fleet and rental buyers who wanted the larger Lambda body one more year.
The Acadia Denali trim is a luxury appearance package, not a different platform. Denali Acadias share the bolt pattern, hub bore, brake clearance, and aftermarket window of the standard Acadia of the same generation. The factory wheel size on Denali trims is typically the 20 inch option on the Lambda generation and the 20 inch option on the C1XX generation. AT4 trim on the C1XX and 3rd gen Acadia is a trim package, not a platform change, and follows the same fitment as the standard model.

- Acadia Limited (2017 carryover): 6x132 bolt pattern, 74.5mm hub bore, M14x1.5 thread, 6 lug. Same aftermarket diameter and width windows as the Lambda generation. One-year-only model.
- 2nd Gen C1XX Acadia (2017-2023, excl. Limited): 6x120 bolt pattern, 66.9mm hub bore, M14x1.5 thread, 6 lug. Element aftermarket diameter range: 18 to 20 inch. Aftermarket width range: 8 to 8.5 inch square.

For your exact aftermarket offset, three options:
- 1. Use our Year/Make/Model search to see wheels that fit your specific Acadia (each listing shows its own offset).
- 2. Browse the Acadia wheel gallery for real-life builds with size, offset, and tire spec captions.
- 3. Call or chat with our team for a free fitment consultation.
How We Confirm Fitment on GMC Acadia Wheels
Element Wheels measures fitment on the platforms we sell wheels for, including every Acadia generation back to the 2007 Lambda. For the Acadia that means clearance from the wheel to the fender, gap between the back of the wheel and the front strut, brake caliper height across both 18 inch (Lambda) and the 18 to 20 inch C1XX brake packages, hub protrusion and bore confirmation across the 74.5mm Lambda hub and the 66.9mm C1XX hub, lug seat geometry on the 14x1.5 thread, and turning clearance at full lock on the larger 22 inch diameters. At our fitment facility in Chandler, Arizona, the Element Wheels team measures directly on the physical platforms we support. We don't pull specs from manufacturer sheets the way most retailers do.
That measurement work is why we track the 2017 model year as two separate fitment rows (Acadia Limited on 6x132 vs the new C1XX Acadia on 6x120) and why a wheel listing measured on the C1XX Acadia does not automatically apply to the Lambda Acadia even though both wear the GMC Acadia badge. Every wheel we recommend is backed by our Fitment Guarantee. If a wheel does not fit, we pick up the wheels and refund 100 percent. No risk to you.
GMC Acadia Wheels and Rims FAQ
What is the bolt pattern on a GMC Acadia?
It depends on the generation. The 1st gen Lambda Acadia (2007-2016) and the 2017 Acadia Limited carryover both run 6x132 with a 74.5mm hub bore and M14x1.5 thread. The 2nd gen C1XX Acadia (2017-2023, all models excluding Limited) moved to 6x120 with a 66.9mm hub bore. The 3rd gen Acadia (2024 and up) continues 6x120 with the 66.9mm hub bore. The 2017 model year contains two different Acadias on two different bolt patterns, so always confirm the badge before ordering.
What is the difference between a 2017 Acadia and a 2017 Acadia Limited?
They are two completely different vehicles. The 2017 Acadia Limited is a one-year carryover of the 1st gen Lambda body, on the 6x132 bolt pattern with a 74.5mm hub bore. The 2017 Acadia (without the Limited badge) is the all-new 2nd gen C1XX Acadia, on the 6x120 bolt pattern with a 66.9mm hub bore. Same model year, two platforms, two bolt patterns. Check the tailgate. The Limited designation is what tells you it is the Lambda. Most customers ordering wheels for a 2017 Acadia get tripped up here.
Will my Lambda Acadia wheels fit a C1XX Acadia?
No. The Lambda Acadia (2007-2016, plus 2017 Acadia Limited) runs 6x132 with a 74.5mm hub bore. The C1XX Acadia (2017-2023, plus 2024+ 3rd gen) runs 6x120 with a 66.9mm hub bore. Both are 6-lug, so the visual count matches, but the stud spacing and hub centering are different and the wheels do not bolt across. Thread pitch is the same (M14x1.5 on both) but the wheel-to-hub interface is not interchangeable.
Is the GMC Acadia the same as the Chevrolet Traverse?
The Acadia and Traverse share GM crossover platforms across every generation since 2007. The Lambda generation Acadia (2007-2016) and Lambda Traverse (2009-2017) share the 6x132 bolt pattern and 74.5mm hub bore. The C1XX Acadia (2017-2023) and C1XX Traverse (2018+) share the 6x120 bolt pattern and 66.9mm hub bore. Same bolt pattern, same hub bore, same thread pitch on matching generations. A wheel measured against the Traverse can cross to the Acadia of the same generation, but confirm the listing was measured on the Acadia body specifically before ordering.
Is the Acadia Denali a different fitment?
No. The Denali trim is a luxury appearance package. It shares the bolt pattern, hub bore, brake clearance, and aftermarket window of the standard Acadia of the same generation. Denali Acadias typically ship from the factory on the 20 inch wheel option, which is the larger end of the OEM offering for both the Lambda and C1XX generations. The AT4 trim on the C1XX and 3rd gen is also a trim package, not a platform change.
What is the largest wheel I can fit on a GMC Acadia?
22 inch is the top of our measured window on the Lambda generation (2007-2016, plus 2017 Limited) and on the 3rd gen Acadia (2024+). On the 2nd gen C1XX Acadia (2017-2023), the measured window tops at 20 inch because the C1XX body has tighter inner fender clearance. 20 inch is the most popular Denali-style upgrade across all generations. Above 22 inch on any Acadia, inner fender and brake clearance dictate offset closely and we recommend a free fitment consultation before ordering.
Do I need hub centric rings on a GMC Acadia?
On the Lambda Acadia (2007-2016, plus 2017 Acadia Limited), hub centric rings only when the aftermarket wheel has a centerbore larger than 74.5mm. On the C1XX Acadia (2017-2023) and the 3rd gen Acadia (2024 and up), hub centric rings only when the aftermarket wheel has a centerbore larger than 66.9mm. If your fitment needs rings, they'll be included with the order.
How do I find the right wheels for my specific GMC Acadia?
Confirm your generation first (1st gen Lambda 2007-2016, Acadia Limited 2017 carryover, 2nd gen C1XX 2017-2023, 3rd gen 2024+), then your trim (SLE, SLT, Denali, AT4). The bolt pattern is generation-specific so the year-and-badge combination tells you most of what you need. Use our Year/Make/Model search to see wheels that fit your specific Acadia and browse the wheel gallery for real-life builds. For 22 inch upgrades on any generation or any 2017 model year question, contact our team for a free fitment consultation before ordering. Every wheel we recommend is backed by the Fitment Guarantee.
Get GMC Acadia Wheels Right the First Time
Pick your generation above to see wheels and rims that fit. We measure on the Acadia across all three platforms (Lambda, C1XX, and the 2024+ 3rd gen), track the 2017 Acadia Limited carryover as its own catalog row, and confirm that a wheel measured for the Lambda Acadia is not automatically the same listing as the C1XX Acadia even though both wear the GMC Acadia badge.
