Honda Odyssey Aftermarket Wheel Fitment
The Honda Odyssey is one of the longest-running minivans in the American market, in production since 1995 and continuing through the current 5th generation. The Odyssey has one bolt pattern transition in its history. The 1st and 2nd gen Odyssey (1995-2004) ran 5x114.3 with a 64.1mm hub bore and M12x1.5 lug nuts, the same spec as the Accord and Civic of that era. When Honda moved the Odyssey onto a new platform for the 2005 model year, the bolt pattern moved to 5x120 with the same 64.1mm hub bore and M14x1.5 lug nuts. Every Odyssey from 2005 forward has stayed on 5x120 / 64.1mm. The hub bore stayed constant at 64.1mm across every Odyssey generation, which makes hub centric rings predictable across the entire lineup. Pick your generation below for the fitment specs that apply to your specific Odyssey.
Find Your Honda Odyssey Generation
Pick your year range to see wheels and rims that fit your specific Odyssey. The bolt pattern transition is the first thing to confirm. 1995-2004: 5x114.3. 2005 and up: 5x120. Hub bore stays 64.1mm on every Odyssey.
The Honda Odyssey Bolt Pattern Changes Once
The Odyssey has exactly one bolt pattern transition in three decades of production. The 1st gen (1995-1998) and 2nd gen (1999-2004) both ran 5x114.3 with a 64.1mm hub bore and M12x1.5 lug nuts, the same spec as the Honda Accord and Civic of that era. When the redesigned 3rd gen launched for the 2005 model year, Honda moved the Odyssey to a new platform and the bolt pattern moved with it: 5x120 with the same 64.1mm hub bore, and a larger M14x1.5 lug stud to handle the heavier vehicle. The 3rd gen, 4th gen (2011-2017), and current 5th gen (2018 and up) all run 5x120 / 64.1mm / M14x1.5. No exceptions across the lineup.
The detail that catches owners: 5x114.3 carries the 5x4.5 imperial nickname (114.3mm equals 4.5 inches). 5x120 has no imperial nickname. It is 5x120 only. A wheel from a 1st or 2nd gen Odyssey (5x114.3 / 5x4.5) does not bolt onto a 3rd gen or newer Odyssey (5x120), and a 5x120 wheel from a 2005-and-up Odyssey will not bolt onto the earlier two generations. The lug nut also changes at the same transition point: M12x1.5 on 1995-2004, M14x1.5 on 2005 and up. If you are shopping for a used set, confirm both the bolt pattern and the lug thread match your model year.
The 5x120 pattern on the 2005-and-up Odyssey is the same bolt pattern used on the modern Honda Pilot (2009 and up), the Honda Ridgeline, and the modern Honda Passport. Wheels often cross between these Honda light-truck platforms on bolt pattern alone, though body proportion and offset windows differ enough that we measure each vehicle separately. Compare across the rest of the Honda lineup at our Honda wheels and rims hub.
Why Odyssey Fitment Prioritizes Ride Quality and Load
The Odyssey is a family minivan with a curb weight in the 4,400 to 4,700 pound range loaded, designed around three rows of passenger comfort. The aftermarket wheel choices reflect that. Most Odyssey owners stay between 17 and 20 inch for the modern 3rd, 4th, and 5th gens, with 18 inch the most common upgrade. Going larger than 20 inch on an Odyssey trades ride quality for visual change, and the tire sidewall becomes thin enough that pothole and impact damage rise materially. We do not generally recommend 22 inch and up on this platform. The Odyssey is also square (non-staggered) on every generation. The same wheel and tire spec belongs on every corner. There is no rear-drive bias on the Odyssey (every Odyssey is front-wheel drive), so a wider rear wheel would not benefit the car.
Brake clearance on the Odyssey is straightforward across every generation. Honda specs the Odyssey with a standard caliper sized for the vehicle weight, and the aftermarket wheel window we measure clears the brake comfortably on the diameters in the published range. The front and rear brake are the same size on the Odyssey, so the same wheel works at every corner from a brake clearance perspective.

Offset windows are controlled by the Odyssey fender opening and brake clearance for each generation. For your exact aftermarket offset, three options:
- 1. Use our Year/Make/Model search to see wheels that fit your specific Odyssey (each listing shows its own offset).
- 2. Browse the Odyssey wheel gallery for real-life builds with size, offset, and tire spec captions.
- 3. Call or chat with our team for a free fitment consultation.
How We Confirm Fitment on Honda Odyssey Wheels
Element Wheels measures fitment on every Odyssey generation back to the 1995 1st gen. For the Odyssey that means clearance from the wheel to the fender, gap between the back of the wheel and the suspension, brake caliper height, hub bore confirmation at 64.1mm, lug seat geometry for both the M12x1.5 (1995-2004) and M14x1.5 (2005 and up) thread specs, turning clearance at full lock, and the 5x114.3 versus 5x120 transition at the 2005 model year. At our fitment facility in Chandler, Arizona, the Element Wheels team measures directly on the physical platforms we support. We don't pull specs from manufacturer sheets the way most retailers do.
Every wheel we recommend is backed by our Fitment Guarantee. If a wheel does not fit, we pick up the wheels and refund 100 percent. No risk to you.
Honda Odyssey Wheels and Rims FAQ
What is the bolt pattern on a Honda Odyssey?
It depends on the model year. The 1st gen Odyssey (1995-1998) and 2nd gen Odyssey (1999-2004) ran 5x114.3 with a 64.1mm hub bore and M12x1.5 lug nuts. The 3rd gen onward (2005 and up) moved to 5x120 with the same 64.1mm hub bore and M14x1.5 lug nuts. The 5x114.3 spec carries the 5x4.5 imperial nickname (114.3mm equals 4.5 inches). 5x120 has no imperial nickname.
When did the Honda Odyssey change bolt patterns?
The 2005 model year. The redesigned 3rd gen Odyssey launched on a new platform with a 5x120 bolt pattern and M14x1.5 lug nuts, replacing the 5x114.3 and M12x1.5 spec that the 1st and 2nd gens had used since 1995. Every Odyssey from 2005 forward has stayed on 5x120 / 64.1mm. If your Odyssey is a 2004 or older, it is 5x114.3. 2005 or newer, it is 5x120.
What is the hub bore on a Honda Odyssey?
64.1mm on every Odyssey generation, 1995 through the current 5th gen. Honda held the same hub bore even when the bolt pattern changed at the 2005 model year. That makes hub centric ring selection predictable across the entire Odyssey lineup, regardless of which generation you own.
Will Honda Pilot or Honda Ridgeline wheels fit my Odyssey?
For a 2005 and newer Odyssey, the bolt pattern crosses. The modern Pilot (2009 and up), the Ridgeline (2006 and up), and the modern Passport (2019 and up) all use the same 5x120 bolt pattern and the same 64.1mm hub bore as the 3rd gen and newer Odyssey. The wheels bolt to the same hub. What does not always cross is offset and fender clearance. The Pilot and Ridgeline are taller and wider than the Odyssey, and a wheel sized for a 2018 Pilot's fender opening may not sit correctly on a 2018 Odyssey. Bolt pattern says yes. Verify the offset and diameter against the Odyssey window before committing.
Will Honda Accord or Civic wheels fit my older Odyssey?
For a 1995-2004 Odyssey, the bolt pattern crosses with the Accord and the 2004-and-up Civic (all 5x114.3 / 64.1mm). The wheels bolt to the same hub. But the Odyssey is a heavier minivan and the offset window is different from a sedan. An Accord wheel sized around a sedan fender will sit deep on the Odyssey. The Civic Type R is 5x120 and will not bolt onto a 1st or 2nd gen Odyssey at all. For a 2005-and-up Odyssey (5x120), the Accord and standard Civic do not cross because they are 5x114.3.
Are Honda Odyssey wheels staggered?
No. Every Odyssey generation runs square fitment from the factory and that is what we recommend in the aftermarket. The Odyssey is a front-wheel-drive minivan and there is no drivetrain reason to run a wider rear wheel. The same wheel and tire spec belongs on every corner.
What is the largest wheel I can fit on a Honda Odyssey?
20 inch is the top of our measured aftermarket window on every Odyssey generation. 18 inch is the most common upgrade choice on the modern 3rd, 4th, and 5th gens because the tire sidewall stays comfortable at that diameter on a vehicle that primarily moves families and cargo. Above 20 inch on the Odyssey, ride quality drops noticeably and the tire sidewall becomes thin enough that pothole damage rises. The Odyssey is built around comfort and load capacity, not aggressive visual stance, and the wheel choice should respect that brief.
Do I need hub centric rings on a Honda Odyssey?
Hub centric rings only when the aftermarket wheel has a centerbore larger than 64.1mm. If your fitment needs rings, they'll be included with the order.
