Hummer H3 Aftermarket Wheel Fitment
The Hummer H3 is the mid-size Hummer built from 2006 through 2010, sitting below the full-size H2 in the lineup. The H3 is built on GM's GMT355 body-on-frame platform, the same mid-size truck chassis that underpinned the same era Chevrolet Colorado and GMC Canyon. That platform tie matters for wheel buyers because the H3, the Colorado, and the Canyon all share the same 6x139.7 bolt pattern, 100.5mm hub bore, and 12x1.5 lug spec. The H3 lineup also includes the H3T, the 2009-2010 pickup-bed variant on the same chassis, and the H3 Alpha, the 5.3-liter V8 trim sold 2008 through 2010. Every H3 we have measured runs 6x139.7 with a 100.5mm hub bore and 12x1.5 lug nuts. Element Wheels measures H3 fitment directly on the truck at our fitment facility in Chandler, Arizona. Pick your H3 variant below.
Find Your Hummer H3 Variant
Every H3 from 2006 through 2010 shares the same bolt pattern, hub bore, and lug spec. The split is between the standard H3 SUV across the full year range, the H3T pickup variant (2009-2010), and the H3 Alpha V8 trim (2008-2010). All three share the GMT355 chassis and the underlying fitment math.
The Hummer H3 Bolt Pattern and Hub Bore
Every Hummer H3 from 2006 through 2010 runs 6x139.7 (often written 6x139.7 and also called 6x5.5 in imperial, where 139.7mm equals 5.5 inches) with a 100.5mm hub bore and 12x1.5 lug nuts. That covers the H3 SUV across the entire model run, the H3T pickup variant (2009-2010), and the H3 Alpha V8 trim (2008-2010). 6x139.7 is the GM mid-size truck class pattern, the same pattern used on the same era Chevrolet Colorado and GMC Canyon. The H3 sits on the GMT355 platform, which is the body-on-frame mid-size truck architecture shared with those two trucks. The 100.5mm hub bore matches across the platform as well.
Because of the GMT355 platform tie, a wheel made for a Chevrolet Colorado or a GMC Canyon of the same era will physically bolt to an H3. The bolt pattern, the hub bore, and the lug thread cross. What does not always cross is the offset window and the brake clearance. The H3 has different fender geometry than a Colorado, sits at a different ride height in stock form, and runs different brakes. We measure the H3 separately for that reason. Compare across the rest of the Hummer lineup at our Hummer wheels and rims hub.
The 6x139.7 pattern is NOT the same as the H2's pattern. The H2 uses 8x165.1 with a 116.7mm hub bore and 14x1.5 lug nuts. Different lug count (eight versus six), different bolt circle, different hub bore, different thread. H2 wheels will not bolt to an H3 and H3 wheels will not bolt to an H2. The two Hummers share a brand and a styling language, not a wheel-mounting interface.
The H3T Pickup, the H3 Alpha V8, and Square Fitment
The H3T is the 2009-2010 pickup-bed variant of the H3. Same GMT355 chassis, same axles, same 6x139.7 bolt pattern. The rear of the body is a small pickup bed instead of the standard SUV greenhouse. For wheel fitment the H3T and the H3 SUV are interchangeable. We track them as separate catalog entries so the search and the gallery surfaces match the customer's actual body style, but the underlying fitment math is the same.
The H3 Alpha is the 2008-2010 V8 trim, sold with a 5.3-liter V8 in place of the standard 3.5-liter and later 3.7-liter inline-five. The Alpha adds power and a different exhaust routing, but the wheel mounting interface, bolt pattern, hub bore, and stock wheel diameter are the same as the rest of the H3 lineup. Brake hardware is upgraded on the Alpha but the brake clearance window for aftermarket wheels stays inside the H3 catalog fitment we measure.
Every H3 runs square fitment. The front and rear wheels are the same diameter and width. There is no staggered factory option and no aftermarket reason to run staggered on an H3. The H3 is a four wheel drive truck with full time torque distribution across both axles. Running staggered tires on a four wheel drive vehicle creates drivetrain stress because the front and rear roll at slightly different rates. Square is the rule on every H3.
Element Wheels Measured Aftermarket Fitment, Hummer H3
Publishable factory and wheel specs across the H3 lineup:
- Bolt pattern: 6x139.7 (also called 6x5.5)
- Hub bore: 100.5mm
- Thread: 12x1.5 lug nuts
- Element aftermarket diameter: 16-24 inch
- Element aftermarket width (front and rear): 8-10.5 inch
- Stagger: Square. Same width front and rear on every H3.
- Platform: GMT355 body-on-frame, shared with Chevrolet Colorado and GMC Canyon of the same era.
- Variants: H3 SUV (2006-2010), H3T pickup (2009-2010), H3 Alpha 5.3L V8 (2008-2010). Same chassis and same fitment math across all three.
For your exact aftermarket offset, three options:
- 1. Use our Year/Make/Model search to see wheels that fit your specific H3 (each listing shows its own offset).
- 2. Browse the H3 wheel gallery for real-life builds with size, offset, and tire spec captions.
- 3. Call or chat with our team for a free fitment consultation.
Every wheel we recommend is backed by our Fitment Guarantee. If a wheel does not fit, we pick up the wheels and refund 100 percent. No risk to you.
How We Confirm Fitment on Hummer H3 Wheels
Element Wheels measures fitment on the H3 directly, across the SUV body and the H3T pickup. For the H3 that means clearance from the wheel to the fender, gap between the back of the wheel and the suspension components, brake caliper height, hub bore confirmation at 100.5mm, lug nut seat depth for 12x1.5 nuts, and confirmation that the wheel clears the steering knuckle at full turning lock. We also verify that the tire size paired with the wheel does not rub the fender well or the inner liner at full compression. At our fitment facility in Chandler, Arizona, the Element Wheels team measures directly on the physical platforms we support. We don't pull specs from manufacturer sheets the way most retailers do.
Hummer H3 Wheels and Rims FAQ
What is the bolt pattern on a Hummer H3?
Every Hummer H3 from 2006 through 2010 runs 6x139.7 (also called 6x5.5 in imperial, where 139.7mm equals 5.5 inches) with a 100.5mm hub bore and 12x1.5 lug nuts. That covers the H3 SUV across the entire model run, the H3T pickup variant (2009-2010), and the H3 Alpha V8 trim (2008-2010). The pattern is the GM mid-size truck class shared with the same era Chevrolet Colorado and GMC Canyon on the GMT355 platform.
What is the hub bore on a Hummer H3?
100.5mm across every H3. A wheel with a larger centerbore than 100.5mm needs hub centric rings to bring the bore down to the H3 hub diameter. If your fitment needs rings, they'll be included with the order.
Will Chevrolet Colorado wheels fit a Hummer H3?
At the bolt pattern level, yes. The H3 and the same era Chevrolet Colorado share the GMT355 platform, the 6x139.7 bolt pattern, the 100.5mm hub bore, and the 12x1.5 lug spec. The bolt math says the wheels cross. The offset window does not always cross because the H3 has different fender geometry and runs different stock ride height than a Colorado. A Colorado wheel that sits flush on the truck may sit too deep on the H3, or it may look different than you wanted. We measure the H3 separately for that reason.
Will H2 wheels fit a Hummer H3?
No. The H2 and the H3 do not share a wheel-mounting interface. The H2 runs 8x165.1 with a 116.7mm hub bore and 14x1.5 lug nuts. The H3 runs 6x139.7 with a 100.5mm hub bore and 12x1.5 lug nuts. Different lug count (eight versus six), different bolt circle, different hub bore, different thread. The two Hummers share a brand and a styling language, not a wheel-mounting interface.
H3 SUV vs H3T pickup: does it change the fitment?
No. The H3 SUV and the H3T pickup variant share the same GMT355 chassis, the same engine choices, the same axles, and the same 6x139.7 bolt pattern. The rear of the body differs (SUV has the full greenhouse, H3T has a small pickup bed) but the wheel fitment is identical. We track them as separate catalog entries so search and the gallery match the customer's body style, but the underlying fitment math is the same.
Does the H3 Alpha V8 use different wheels than the standard H3?
No. The H3 Alpha (2008-2010, 5.3-liter V8) uses the same 6x139.7 bolt pattern, 100.5mm hub bore, and 12x1.5 lug spec as the standard inline-five H3. The Alpha brought a power upgrade and an upgraded brake setup, but the brake clearance window for aftermarket wheels stays inside the H3 catalog fitment we measure. Aftermarket H3 wheels that fit a standard H3 will fit an H3 Alpha.
Are Hummer H3 wheels staggered?
No. Every H3 runs square fitment, meaning the front and rear wheels are the same width. There is no staggered factory option and no aftermarket reason to stagger an H3. The H3 is a four wheel drive truck. Running staggered tires on a four wheel drive vehicle creates drivetrain stress because the front and rear roll at slightly different rates. Square is the rule on every H3.
Do I need hub centric rings on a Hummer H3?
Hub centric rings only when the aftermarket wheel has a centerbore larger than 100.5mm. If your fitment needs rings, they'll be included with the order.
