Ineos Grenadier Aftermarket Wheel Fitment
The Ineos Grenadier is a body-on-frame, live-axle off-roader built by Ineos Automotive in Hambach, France. It launched as a 2024 model in the US market and was designed as a modern successor to the original Land Rover Defender, with a steel ladder chassis, solid axles front and rear, and a full-time four wheel drive system with three locking differentials. Mechanically the Grenadier uses BMW inline-six engines (the B57 diesel and the B58 gasoline) paired with the ZF 8HP eight-speed automatic, which is a serious drivetrain bolted into a serious chassis. Every Grenadier runs 6x130 with an 84.1mm hub bore, M14x1.5 lug nuts, and a 6 lug count. The factory ships the Grenadier with 17 inch wheels on most trims and 18 inch on higher trims. Element Wheels has measured fitment on the stock chassis from 17 inch through 20 inch, plus a separate 2 to 3 inch lift window for builds running 34 inch tires (trimming may be required). The Grenadier is a square (non-staggered) fitment, which is the right configuration for an off-road platform where tire rotation between front and rear is part of normal maintenance.
Find Your Ineos Grenadier
The Ineos Grenadier is a single-generation platform, 2024 and up. Pick your year range to see the wheels and rims we have measured for the truck. Stock-height and lifted builds both run the same 6x130 bolt pattern and 84.1mm hub bore.
The Ineos Grenadier Bolt Pattern
Every Ineos Grenadier from 2024 and up runs 6x130 with an 84.1mm hub bore. 6x130 is a heavy-duty truck bolt pattern with six studs spaced on a 130mm pitch circle. The lug count is 6, the thread pitch is M14x1.5, and the hub uses lug nuts (not lug bolts like German SUVs), which is the same hardware style as most American trucks. The 84.1mm centerbore is unusually large because the hub face is sized for the heavy-duty live axle. Most aftermarket 6x130 wheels run hub bores between 84.1mm and 110mm and are stepped down to fit with hub centric rings.
One detail worth flagging because we have seen it confuse buyers. The Grenadier's 6x130 pattern is NOT the same as the Mercedes G-Class 5x130 pattern. Both patterns happen to share the 130mm pitch circle diameter but the lug counts differ. The G-Class has 5 studs. The Grenadier has 6 studs. A wheel built for one cannot bolt onto the other, full stop. If you have heard that the Grenadier is "G-Class compatible," the body-on-frame off-road concept is similar but the wheel hardware is not interchangeable. When you are shopping for wheels, confirm the listing says 6x130 specifically.
Why the Lift Build Changes the Fitment Window
The Grenadier is a body-on-frame off-roader and the wheel fitment box changes when you raise the chassis. We measure two windows on this platform. Stock-height Grenadiers (Trialmaster, Fieldmaster, and base trims at factory ride height) sit inside the offset and width range below. Builds with a 2 to 3 inch lift fitted to 34 inch tires open a wider width range and allow more aggressive offsets, but the additional clearance may require trimming the inner wheel well or fender lip depending on the exact tire and offset combination. We track the two configurations separately in our catalog so the Year/Make/Model search returns wheels validated for the build you are actually running. Bolt pattern, hub bore, and lug nut spec are identical across the configurations.
The Grenadier is square (same width front and rear) at the factory and in the aftermarket. Tire rotation between front and rear is part of the maintenance routine on an off-road platform, and the full-time four wheel drive system needs all four tires at the same diameter to keep the center differential from binding under load.
Element Wheels Measured Aftermarket Fitment, Ineos Grenadier
Publishable factory and wheel specs across the Grenadier build configurations:
- Grenadier Stock Height (Trialmaster, Fieldmaster, and base trims, 2024 and up): 6x130 bolt pattern, 84.1mm hub bore, M14x1.5 thread, 6 lug, lug nut style. Element aftermarket diameter range: 17 to 20 inch. Element aftermarket width range: 7.5 to 9 inch. Square (non-staggered) fitment.
- Grenadier 2 to 3 inch lift with 34 inch tires (trimming may be required, 2024 and up): 6x130 bolt pattern, 84.1mm hub bore, M14x1.5 thread, 6 lug, lug nut style. Element aftermarket diameter range: 17 to 20 inch. Element aftermarket width range: 7.5 to 9.5 inch. Square (non-staggered) fitment. Aggressive offsets and 34 inch tires may require inner well or fender lip trimming.
Offset windows depend on the build. For your exact aftermarket offset, three options:
- 1. Use our Year/Make/Model search to see wheels that fit your specific Grenadier build (each listing shows its own offset).
- 2. Browse the Grenadier wheel gallery for real-life builds with size, offset, and tire spec captions.
- 3. Call or chat with our team for a free fitment consultation.
How We Confirm Fitment on Ineos Grenadier Wheels
Element Wheels measures fitment on the platforms we sell wheels for, including the Grenadier in both stock and lifted configurations. For the Grenadier that means clearance from the wheel to the fender at full articulation, gap between the back of the wheel and the live axle hardware, brake caliper height, hub bore confirmation at 84.1mm, lug nut seat depth (M14x1.5 thread), and turning clearance with the wheel and tire installed at full lock. Live-axle clearance is different from independent suspension fitment because the wheel travels through a wider arc relative to the body. We measure that arc directly. At our fitment facility in Chandler, Arizona, the Element Wheels team measures directly on the physical platforms we support. We don't pull specs from manufacturer sheets the way most retailers do.
Every wheel we recommend is backed by our Fitment Guarantee. If a wheel does not fit, we pick up the wheels and refund 100 percent. No risk to you.
Ineos Grenadier Wheels and Rims FAQ
What is the bolt pattern on an Ineos Grenadier?
Every Ineos Grenadier from 2024 and up runs 6x130 with an 84.1mm hub bore. 6x130 is a heavy-duty truck bolt pattern with six studs on a 130mm pitch circle. The lug count is 6, the thread pitch is M14x1.5, and the hub uses lug nuts rather than the lug bolt style found on most German SUVs.
Will Mercedes G-Class wheels fit a Grenadier?
No. The Mercedes G-Class runs 5x130 and the Grenadier runs 6x130. Both patterns happen to share the 130mm pitch circle diameter but the lug counts are different (5 versus 6). A G-Class wheel will not bolt onto a Grenadier, and a Grenadier wheel will not bolt onto a G-Class. The body-on-frame off-road concept is similar but the wheel hardware is not interchangeable.
Will the Grenadier accept 34 inch tires?
Yes, with a 2 to 3 inch lift. The stock Grenadier ride height is engineered for the factory tire diameter. To run 34 inch tires you need to lift the chassis and you may also need to trim the inner wheel well or fender lip depending on the exact tire and offset combination. We track the lift configuration separately in our catalog so the Year/Make/Model search returns wheels validated for that build window. Confirm your lift kit and tire pairing with our team before ordering.
What is the factory wheel size on a Grenadier?
The Grenadier ships with 17 inch wheels on the base, Trialmaster, and Fieldmaster trims, and 18 inch wheels on some higher trim packages. Every trim uses the same 6x130 bolt pattern and 84.1mm hub bore, so the bolt-on architecture is identical across trims even when the factory wheel diameter differs.
Are Grenadier wheels staggered?
No. The Grenadier ships square (same width front and rear) from the factory and the aftermarket builds we have measured stay square. The full-time four wheel drive system needs all four tires at the same rolling diameter to keep the center differential from binding under load, and tire rotation between front and rear is part of the maintenance routine on an off-road platform.
What is the largest wheel I can fit on a Grenadier?
Our measured aftermarket window on the Grenadier tops at 20 inch diameter. Most Grenadier buyers stay at 17 or 18 inch because the smaller diameter keeps the tire sidewall taller, which is what an off-road platform actually wants for ride compliance over rocks and ruts and for sidewall protection against punctures. 20 inch is the upper limit. 17 inch is the floor on every trim.
Does the Quartermaster pickup use the same wheels?
The Quartermaster is the pickup variant of the Grenadier platform and is sold as a separate Ineos model. It shares the 6x130 bolt pattern and 84.1mm hub bore architecture with the Grenadier SUV. The wheelbase and bed configuration are different, so the fitment box may differ. If you are shopping for a Quartermaster, contact our team to confirm the wheel you want has been validated for the longer-wheelbase truck.
Do I need hub centric rings on an Ineos Grenadier?
Hub centric rings only when the aftermarket wheel has a centerbore larger than 84.1mm. If your fitment needs rings, they'll be included with the order.
