Infiniti QX30 Aftermarket Wheel Fitment
The Infiniti QX30 is a compact crossover sold in the US for model years 2017 through 2019. Underneath, it is the Mercedes-Benz GLA-Class. Both cars sit on the Daimler MFA platform, both were built side by side at Nissan's Sunderland plant in the UK, and both use the Mercedes wheel interface: 5x112 bolt pattern with a 66.56mm hub bore and 14x1.5 lug bolts that thread directly into the hub. This is the most important thing to know before shopping QX30 wheels and rims. Most aftermarket retailers list Infiniti models under the 5x114.3 pattern that covers the rest of the Infiniti lineup. The QX30 is the exception. Element Wheels measures the QX30 against its Mercedes geometry, not the Infiniti default. The fitment specs follow.
Find Your Infiniti QX30
The QX30 ran a single generation in the US from 2017 through 2019. Element Wheels measures one validation set for the entire production run. Bolt pattern is 5x112 with a 66.56mm hub bore and 14x1.5 lug bolts across every QX30 year and trim.
The QX30 Bolt Pattern Is the Mercedes Pattern
Every QX30 (2017-2019) runs 5x112 with a 66.56mm factory hub bore and 14x1.5 thread. 5 lug. The lug fasteners are bolts that thread directly into the hub, not nuts on studs the way most cars are configured. This is the Mercedes-Benz wheel interface, used across the Mercedes A-Class, B-Class, CLA-Class, GLA-Class, and the rest of the MFA platform lineup. The QX30 carries it because the QX30 is the Mercedes GLA-Class underneath: same chassis, same wheel interface, same lug bolt practice, built side by side at the Sunderland UK plant under the Daimler-Renault-Nissan collaboration that ran during the QX30's production window.
Three patterns that look similar to 5x112 but are NOT interchangeable with the QX30: 5x114.3 (the standard Infiniti pattern across nearly every other Infiniti, including the QX50 and QX55 on this site), 5x108 (Volvo, Ford Focus RS, some Jaguar), and 5x110 (older Saab, some Fiat and Alfa). The numerical gaps are small enough that the wheel may appear to start threading on the wrong pattern. It will not seat correctly and the stud or bolt loading is off-center, which is a safety issue. Confirm the listing reads 5x112 specifically.
The 66.56mm hub bore is the Mercedes hub spec. Aftermarket wheels built for the Mercedes 5x112 pattern will typically hub center to the QX30 the same way they hub center to a GLA-Class. Compare across the rest of the Infiniti lineup at our Infiniti wheels and rims hub, and keep in mind that the QX30 is the only Infiniti that runs the Mercedes pattern.
Why the QX30 Has Its Own Measured Window
The QX30 shares its chassis with the Mercedes GLA-Class, but the body styling and the fender opening profiles are Infiniti-specific. The QX30 sat on the Sport trim with a lowered ride height and on the AWD trim with raised body cladding for the QX30 crossover styling. The aftermarket diameter window in our catalog runs 18 to 20 inch, which lines up with what the chassis can clear without rubbing the fender liner. Width window is 8.0 to 8.5 inch square, non-staggered. The car ships from the factory at 18 to 19 inch depending on trim, so 20 inch is the natural aftermarket step up.
Stagger is not on the table for the QX30. The car was offered as front drive on lower trims and as AWD on Sport / Sport AWD. Either way, a wider rear wheel on a transverse-engine compact crossover introduces uneven rolling diameter that strains the drivetrain on AWD trims and produces no real visual benefit on the front drive trims at this body size. Square setups are the right call across every QX30.

How We Confirm Fitment on Infiniti QX30 Wheels
Element Wheels measures fitment on the platforms we sell wheels for, including the QX30. For the QX30 that means clearance from the wheel to the Infiniti fender styling, gap between the back of the wheel and the MFA platform suspension components, brake caliper clearance against the QX30's base brake package, hub bore confirmation on the 66.56mm Mercedes spec, lug bolt seat geometry on the 14x1.5 thread, and turning clearance at full lock. At our fitment facility in Chandler, Arizona, the Element Wheels team measures directly on the physical platforms we support. We don't pull specs from manufacturer sheets the way most retailers do. That measurement work is what produced the 18-20 inch diameter range and the 8.0-8.5 inch width window for the QX30 in our catalog.
Infiniti QX30 Wheels and Rims FAQ
What is the bolt pattern on an Infiniti QX30?
Every QX30 (2017-2019) runs 5x112 with a 66.56mm hub bore and 14x1.5 lug bolt thread. 5 lug. This is the Mercedes-Benz wheel interface, not the standard Infiniti 5x114.3 pattern, because the QX30 is the Mercedes GLA-Class twin underneath the Infiniti body.
Is the Infiniti QX30 the same as the Mercedes GLA?
Underneath the body, yes. The QX30 and the first-generation Mercedes-Benz GLA-Class share the Daimler MFA platform, the same Mercedes engines, the same Mercedes wheel interface (5x112 / 66.56mm / 14x1.5 lug bolts), and the same Sunderland UK assembly plant. Body styling, interior, and trim level naming are Infiniti-specific. From a wheel fitment standpoint, the two cars are twins.
Will wheels from a Mercedes GLA fit my QX30?
At the bolt pattern and hub bore level, yes. A first-generation GLA-Class wheel (5x112 / 66.56mm with 14x1.5 lug bolts) will bolt to a QX30 hub. Confirm width and offset against the QX30 fender openings before mounting. The Infiniti body styling is not identical to the GLA-Class body styling, so what flushed perfectly on the GLA may sit slightly different on the QX30. Use the Year/Make/Model search to filter to wheels we have measured specifically on the QX30.
Will wheels from another Infiniti fit my QX30?
No. Nearly every other Infiniti runs 5x114.3 (the standard Infiniti and Nissan pattern). The QX30 is the only Infiniti that runs 5x112 (the Mercedes pattern). The patterns sit about 2.3mm apart and they are not interchangeable. A 5x114.3 wheel will not safely mount to a QX30 hub. Confirm the listing reads 5x112 specifically before ordering.
Why does the QX30 use lug bolts instead of lug nuts?
Because the QX30 hub is the Mercedes hub. European manufacturers, particularly Mercedes-Benz, typically use lug bolts that thread directly into a threaded hub flange rather than studs and nuts. The QX30 inherited that design when it inherited the MFA platform. The 14x1.5 fastener spec is the bolt thread, not a stud thread. If you replace the factory bolts, replace them with bolts of the correct shank length for the aftermarket wheel's hub thickness. Bolts that are too short do not engage enough thread, and bolts that are too long can bottom out against the hub flange.
What is the largest wheel I can fit on a QX30?
20 inch is the top of our measured aftermarket window on the QX30. The car ships from the factory at 18 inch on most trims and 19 inch on Sport, so 20 inch is the natural visual step up without running into fender or suspension clearance issues. Width window is 8.0 to 8.5 inch square.
Do I need hub centric rings on an Infiniti QX30?
Hub centric rings only when the aftermarket wheel has a centerbore larger than 66.56mm. The 66.56mm hub bore is the Mercedes spec, consistent across every QX30 year. If your fitment needs rings, they'll be included with the order.
How do I find the right wheels for my specific QX30 build?
Confirm the bolt pattern first. The QX30 runs 5x112 (the Mercedes pattern), not 5x114.3 like the rest of the Infiniti lineup. Use our Year/Make/Model search to filter to wheels we have measured specifically on the QX30, and browse the wheel gallery for real-life builds with size and offset captions. If you are running the Sport trim's lower ride height or considering the top of the 20 inch aftermarket diameter window, contact our team for a free fitment consultation before ordering. Every wheel we recommend is backed by the Fitment Guarantee.
