The QX4 Bolt Pattern Is the Mid Size SUV Pattern

Every QX4 (1997-2003) runs 6x139.7 with a 108.0mm factory hub bore, M12x1.25 thread, and 6 lug. 6x139.7 is one of the most widely shared bolt patterns in the mid size truck and SUV world. It also appears as 6x5.5 in imperial callouts because 139.7mm equals 5.5 inches. The same pattern shows up on the Toyota Tacoma of this era, the Toyota 4Runner of this era, the Nissan Frontier of this era, and Nissan's own Pathfinder R50 that the QX4 shares its chassis with.

6x139.7 is a distinct pattern from 6x135 (the modern Ford F-150 6 lug pattern) and from 6x127 (the GMT360 SUV pattern used on the Trailblazer, Envoy, and Isuzu Ascender). The numerical gaps are small visually but enough to stress the studs and prevent the wheel from hub centering correctly. A wheel listed as 6x135 or 6x127 will not safely bolt onto an Infiniti QX4. Confirm the listing reads 6x139.7.

QX4 vs Pathfinder R50, What Carries Across

The Nissan Pathfinder R50 (1996-2004) is the QX4's mechanical twin. Same body on frame chassis, same suspension geometry, same 6x139.7 bolt pattern, same M12x1.25 thread, same 6 lug count. Same factory wheel sizes on most trims. Different body styling and different interior, but the chassis underneath is identical. Wheels measured against the QX4 in the catalog cross to the Pathfinder R50 of the matching year. The QX4 was discontinued after the 2003 model year and the FX35 took its spot in the Infiniti lineup. The FX35 is a completely different platform (the rear-drive FM chassis shared with the G35 and 350Z) and does not share the QX4 wheel interface.

Stagger is not on the table for the QX4. The truck was full-time 4WD across all US trims and the body styling does not benefit visually from a wider rear. A wider rear on a 4WD vehicle introduces uneven rolling diameter that strains the drivetrain over time. Square setups are the right call across every QX4.
