The QX80 (2014-2024 in our catalog) is the renamed 2nd gen QX56, carried forward on the same Y62 chassis under Infiniti's 2014 Q-and-QX naming convention change. The QX56 / QX80 Bolt Pattern and the QX56-to-QX80 Rename

Every Infiniti QX56 and QX80 runs the 6x139.7 bolt pattern, also called 6x5.5 imperial (139.7mm = 5.5 inches exactly), with a 77.8mm factory hub bore. The pattern is consistent across every generation and is the body-on-frame full-size SUV standard, shared with the Nissan Armada, Nissan Patrol, Nissan Titan, Chevy Tahoe and Suburban, GMC Yukon, Cadillac Escalade, and Ford Expedition. A wheel built for one 6x139.7 body-on-frame full-size SUV will bolt onto another at the lug-hole level, but fitment is platform-specific because brake calipers, fender clearance, and lug thread differ between makes. We measure each platform on its own chassis.

The QX56 (2004-2013) was the original badge. The 1st generation (2004-2010) shared its platform with the 1st generation Armada and was built on the F-Alpha truck chassis. The 2nd generation (2011-2013) moved to the Y62 platform, the same body-on-frame architecture used globally on the Nissan Patrol. Infiniti renamed the QX56 to QX80 for the 2014 model year under the Q-and-QX naming convention change, and the QX80 carried the Y62 chassis forward through the 2024 model year. So the QX80 is not a new vehicle. The 2014 QX80 and the 2013 QX56 are the same Y62 SUV under different badges.

The chassis change at 2011 also changed the lug thread. The 1st gen QX56 (2004-2010) uses 12x1.25 thread, and every Y62 from 2011 onward (the 2011-2013 2nd gen QX56 and every QX80 model year through 2024) uses 14x1.5 thread. Why the QX56 / QX80 Generations Need Their Own Fitment Windows

The 1st gen QX56 (2004-2010) shares its core architecture with the 1st gen Nissan Armada (2004-2015 US). The Y62 platform under the 2nd gen QX56 (2011-2013) and every QX80 (2014-2024) is the Nissan Patrol global chassis, also shared with the 2nd gen US Armada that launched as a 2017 model. The 2011 transition changed the wheelbase, the suspension geometry, and the brake setup, so the measured aftermarket window also shifts at the chassis change. Across the entire run our diameter range tops at 26 inch and the bolt pattern stays 6x139.7 / 77.8mm, but the offset and width math is generation-specific.

QX56 and QX80 fitment is non-staggered. These are full-size 4WD body-on-frame SUVs, and full-time 4WD body-on-frame SUVs need a square setup (same wheel and tire dimensions front and rear) to keep rolling diameter even across the drivetrain. A wider rear on a 4WD QX56 or QX80 puts uneven rolling diameter into the transfer case and damages the drivetrain over time. The aftermarket pattern on these vehicles is large diameter with a square setup, typically 22, 24, or 26 inch on a luxury 4WD SUV.
