It is the bigger, more premium sibling to the standard Wagoneer and the most capable wheel platform Jeep has launched in decades. Every Grand Wagoneer uses a 6x139.7 bolt pattern (6x5.5 imperial) with a 77.8mm hub bore and M14x1.5 lug nuts. Square fitment, same width front and rear, no factory stagger. Drivetrain (Quadra-Trac, Quadra-Drive II, Quadra-Lift air suspension) does not change the bolt math. Trim (Series I, Series II, Series III, Obsidian) does not change the bolt math either. A note on the nameplate. This page covers the modern WS Grand Wagoneer launched for the 2022 model year. The original 1963-1991 Grand Wagoneer (the SJ platform classic with the famous wood-grain side trim) is a completely different vehicle on a completely different chassis and is not the subject of this page.

The Jeep Grand Wagoneer Bolt Pattern

Every 2022 and up Jeep Grand Wagoneer uses 6x139.7 with a 77.8mm hub bore. The 6x139.7 imperial nickname is 6x5.5 (139.7mm equals 5.5 inches). Same pattern, two naming conventions. The hub bore is significantly larger than the 71.5mm bore Jeep used on the Grand Cherokee, Wrangler JK, and Wrangler JL, because the Grand Wagoneer rides on a full-size body-on-frame truck platform rather than a Grand Cherokee unibody. Lug fastener is M14x1.5, same thread as the modern Jeep lineup. The Grand Wagoneer is a 6-lug hub. This is the meaningful break from the rest of the Jeep range. Every other Jeep on our shelves runs a 5-lug pattern (5x114.3, 5x127, or 5x110). The Grand Wagoneer and the Wagoneer are the only 6-lug Jeeps in our catalog.

The Grand Wagoneer shares its 6x139.7 / 77.8mm / 6-lug hub family with the standard Jeep Wagoneer, its direct platform sibling. Same bolt math, same hub bore, same lug thread. Wheels cross cleanly between the Grand Wagoneer and the Wagoneer in stud pattern, hub centering, and lug spec. The 6x139.7 pattern is the long-standing full-size Detroit truck bolt pattern used on half-ton full-size SUVs and pickups across the industry. Important: 6x139.7 (6x5.5) is distinct from 6x135 (used on the Ford F-150). The two patterns look similar at a glance but the bolt circles are different enough that wheels built for an F-150 will not safely bolt on a Grand Wagoneer. The Grand Wagoneer And The Wagoneer Connection

The Grand Wagoneer and the standard Wagoneer share the same body-on-frame chassis, the same wheelbase options, the same 6x139.7 / 77.8mm hub interface, and the same 6-lug M14x1.5 mounting. The Grand Wagoneer is the longer-equipment-list trim hierarchy with the higher trim Series III and Obsidian packages, the available 6.4-liter V8, and the bigger factory wheel sizes. The Wagoneer is the same chassis with a different trim lineup and slightly different brake package on the lower trims. Both nameplates use the same fitment math on our shelves.

Stock wheels on the Grand Wagoneer ran 20 inch on the entry trims and 22 inch on Series II and up, with Obsidian receiving a darkened 22 inch as standard. Aftermarket diameter window on the Grand Wagoneer runs 20 to 24 inch with widths from 9 to 10 inch front and rear, square fitment. The brake package on the Grand Wagoneer is sized for the curb weight of the vehicle, which sits above 6,000 pounds in most trims. Brake calipers do not change between Grand Wagoneer trims in a way that affects wheel selection.
