The Jeep Wrangler is one of the most lifted, most modified platforms in our catalog. Four generations have been built since 1987: YJ (1987-1995), TJ (1997-2006), JK (2007-2018), and JL (2018 and up). The single biggest fitment fact on the Wrangler is the bolt pattern transition with the JK in 2007. The YJ and TJ ran 5x114.3 (5x4.5), and the JK and JL run 5x127 (5x5). Wheels do not cross that transition. Hub bore is 71.5mm on every Wrangler. The JL Rubicon also gets its own fitment row separate from the non-Rubicon JL because the Rubicon's front axle, brake package, and factory tire size differ from the rest of the lineup. The Jeep Wrangler Bolt Pattern Across Two Eras

The Wrangler used 5x114.3 (also written 5x4.5 in imperial) on the YJ (1987-1995) and the TJ (1997-2006). When the JK launched in 2007, Jeep moved to 5x127 (5x5), and the JL has stayed on that pattern since 2018. Hub bore is 71.5mm on every Wrangler from 1987 forward. Lug count is 5 on every Wrangler. The pattern is the question. YJ and TJ wheels do NOT bolt to a JK or JL Wrangler, and JK or JL wheels do NOT bolt to a YJ or TJ. The two patterns are 12.7mm apart and the studs do not line up cleanly.

From the JK forward (2007 and up), wheels generally cross between JK and JL because both use 5x127 with the 71.5mm hub bore. Whether the offset and width work on your Jeep is the next question, and that depends on lift height, tire size, and whether you have a Rubicon. Why Wrangler Fitment Is Lift-Driven and Rubicon-Specific

Almost every Wrangler in our catalog has a lift fitment row attached to it. Owners run 2-3 inch lifts on 33 inch tires, 2-3 inch lifts on 35 inch tires, 3.5-4 inch lifts on 35 inch tires, and 3.5-4 inch lifts on 37 inch tires. Each combination changes which wheel works, what diameter and width fit, and which offset clears the upper control arm, the inner fender liner, and the tire at full lock. That is why the JK alone has five fitment rows in our catalog (stock plus four lifted combinations) and the JL has four (non-Rubicon stock, non-Rubicon 2-3 inch lift with 35 inch tires, Rubicon stock, and Rubicon 2-3 inch lift).

The JL Rubicon splits from the rest of the JL because its front axle, brake package, approach-angle suspension geometry, and 33 inch factory tire differ from the non-Rubicon JL. The wheel choices look similar by spec but the buying picture is different: at stock height, a Rubicon owner is already sitting on 33s and a non-Rubicon owner is not. How We Confirm Fitment on Jeep Wrangler Wheels
