How are Kansei wheels made?
Every Kansei wheel is constructed using the aforementioned Formlite radial barrel structuring technique, which exerts pressure to the barrel part of the wheel while it is heated to extreme temperatures. Rollers adjust the barrel as the wheel rotates, forming the back half of the wheel's shape. The result is a thinner, lighter, and stronger wheel with an aligned aluminum grain structure that increases impact and strain resistance.
