Land Rover Discovery Sport Aftermarket Wheel Fitment
The Land Rover Discovery Sport is the compact luxury SUV in the Discovery lineup. It launched in 2016 and is still in production, with a substantial refresh for the 2020 model year that kept the same wheel package. The Discovery Sport sits on the JLR D8 chassis, also called the Premium Transverse Architecture, which is the same platform that underpins the Range Rover Evoque. That same-chassis link matters for parts cross-shop. The Discovery Sport runs 5x108 with a 63.4mm hub bore on every trim and model year, and the pattern is unchanged across the run.
The Discovery Sport is a smaller, transverse-engine platform than the full-size L462 Discovery. The two share a name and a brand but not a chassis. The full-size Discovery runs 5x120 with a 72.56mm hub bore. The Discovery Sport runs 5x108 with a 63.4mm hub bore. Wheels do not interchange between the two. Confirm your model line before ordering.
Find Your Land Rover Discovery Sport
Pick your year range to see wheels and rims that fit your Discovery Sport. The bolt pattern is 5x108 / 63.4mm hub bore on every L550 from 2016 forward.
The Land Rover Discovery Sport Bolt Pattern
Every L550 Discovery Sport from 2016 forward uses 5x108 with a 63.4mm hub bore and M14x1.5 lug nuts on studs. The pattern is unchanged across the SE, R-Dynamic SE, HSE, R-Dynamic HSE, and First Edition trims, and it carries through the 2020 model year refresh and the more recent updates. The Discovery Sport runs nuts threaded onto studs pressed into the hub, the conventional aftermarket wheel attachment, which is a different setup from the larger Jaguar Land Rover platforms (L462 Discovery, full-size Range Rover, Range Rover Sport, L663 Defender) that use bolts threaded directly into the hub.
The Discovery Sport shares its 5x108 / 63.4mm CB geometry with the Range Rover Evoque because both sit on the JLR D8 / Premium Transverse Architecture. A factory wheel from a same-year Evoque will physically bolt to a Discovery Sport hub. Offset, brake clearance, and tire sizing still need to match the Discovery Sport, so we measure the Discovery Sport as its own catalog row even though it shares the bolt circle with the Evoque. The Discovery Sport does not share wheels with the full-size L462 Discovery, the full-size Range Rover, the Range Rover Sport, or the L663 Defender. Those are 5x120 platforms with a 72.56mm hub bore on a different chassis family. The Discovery Sport also does not share wheels with the Range Rover Velar, which runs the same 5x108 / 63.4mm CB bolt pattern but on the larger JLR D7a chassis with its own offset window. Compare across the rest of the Land Rover lineup at our Land Rover wheels and rims hub.
Discovery Sport Trims and Wheel Specs
The L550 Discovery Sport has been sold in SE, R-Dynamic SE, HSE, R-Dynamic HSE, and First Edition trims across its production run. The 2020 model year refresh updated the interior, the infotainment, and the powertrain with mild-hybrid options, but kept the same 5x108 / 63.4mm hub bore the L550 launched with in 2016. Brake packages do not split aftermarket fitment in a meaningful way on the Discovery Sport the way they do on the Range Rover Sport SVR or the Defender V8. We track the L550 as a single fitment row.
The front brakes are larger than the rear on the Discovery Sport. That is the factory configuration and the norm on a compact luxury SUV. The front axle does the majority of the stopping work and the front rotor and caliper are scaled to match. The size delta means the front wheel needs more clearance behind the face than the rear, which is one reason we measure both axles on every Discovery Sport fitment we publish.

How We Confirm Fitment on Land Rover Discovery Sport Wheels
Element Wheels measures fitment on the platforms we sell wheels for, including the L550 Land Rover Discovery Sport. For the Discovery Sport that means clearance from the wheel to the fender, gap between the back of the wheel and the suspension components, brake caliper height on the front and rear axles, hub bore confirmation on the 63.4mm Discovery Sport hub, and lug stud seat depth on the M14x1.5 nuts. At our fitment facility in Chandler, Arizona, the Element Wheels team measures directly on the physical platforms we support. We don't pull specs from manufacturer sheets the way most retailers do.
Land Rover Discovery Sport Wheels and Rims FAQ
What is the bolt pattern on a Land Rover Discovery Sport?
Every L550 Discovery Sport from 2016 forward uses 5x108 with a 63.4mm hub bore and M14x1.5 lug nuts on studs. The pattern is unchanged across the SE, R-Dynamic SE, HSE, R-Dynamic HSE, and First Edition trims, and it carries through the 2020 model year refresh.
Will Discovery Sport wheels fit a Range Rover Evoque?
The bolt pattern crosses. The Discovery Sport and the Range Rover Evoque both sit on the JLR D8 / Premium Transverse Architecture and both run 5x108 with a 63.4mm hub bore. A factory Evoque wheel will physically bolt to a Discovery Sport hub. Offset, brake clearance, and tire sizing still need to match Discovery Sport geometry, so we measure each platform separately and the Year/Make/Model search returns only wheels fit-tested on the specific car.
Will full-size Discovery (L462) wheels fit a Discovery Sport?
No. The full-size L462 Discovery runs 5x120 with a 72.56mm hub bore. The Discovery Sport runs 5x108 with a 63.4mm hub bore. Different bolt circle, different hub bore. The wheels do not interchange between the full-size Discovery and the Discovery Sport, even though both carry the Discovery name. Confirm your model line before ordering.
Are Discovery Sport wheels staggered?
No. The L550 Discovery Sport ships square (same wheel size front and rear) from the factory on every trim. The all-wheel-drive driveline is tuned for matched tire sizes on every corner. Aftermarket Discovery Sport builds stay square nearly all the time.
What is the largest wheel I can fit on a Discovery Sport?
Our measured Element aftermarket window tops at 22 inch on the L550 Discovery Sport. 20 and 21 inch are the most popular aftermarket upgrade sizes. The factory wheel package runs 18 to 21 inch depending on trim. Above 22 inch, tire sidewall thins below what most Discovery Sport customers want for ride quality and curb-damage protection.
What is the hub bore on a Land Rover Discovery Sport?
The L550 Discovery Sport hub bore is 63.4mm. That is the same hub bore as the Range Rover Evoque (same JLR D8 chassis) and the Range Rover Velar (different chassis, same hub bore). The full-size L462 Discovery, full-size Range Rover, Range Rover Sport, and L663 Defender all run a larger 72.56mm hub bore on a different chassis family.
Do I need hub centric rings on a Discovery Sport?
Hub centric rings only when the aftermarket wheel has a centerbore larger than 63.4mm. If your fitment needs rings, they'll be included with the order.
How do I find the right wheels for my specific Land Rover Discovery Sport?
Confirm your model year is 2016 or newer (the L550 generation). The bolt pattern is 5x108 / 63.4mm hub bore across the whole L550 production run. Use our Year/Make/Model search to see wheels that fit your specific Discovery Sport (each listing publishes its own offset) and browse the wheel gallery for real-life builds. If you are running a non-standard tire size or considering a 22 inch wheel, contact our team for a free fitment consultation. Every wheel we recommend is backed by the Fitment Guarantee.
