Lexus LX Aftermarket Wheel Fitment
The Lexus LX is Lexus's full-size body-on-frame luxury SUV, built on the same ladder-frame platform as the Toyota Land Cruiser. Four generations cover the platform. The LX 450 (1996-1997) is the original, based on the 80-series Land Cruiser. The LX 470 (1998-2007) shares the 100-series Land Cruiser chassis. The LX 570 (2008-2021) shares the 200-series. The current LX 600 (2022 and up) sits on the new J300-series TNGA-F platform. Two things make LX wheel fitment unusual at the platform level. First, the bolt pattern changes across generations: the LX 450 and the new LX 600 run 6x139.7, while the LX 470 and LX 570 run 5x150. The platform moved from six lugs to five lugs to six lugs again. Second, the LX 470 has a tall front hub that limits which center caps will fit on aftermarket wheels, and we flag that on every applicable LX 470 wheel listing. Find your generation below for the fitment specs that apply to your specific LX.
Find Your Lexus LX Generation
Pick your year range to see wheels and rims that fit your specific LX. The bolt pattern is not constant across generations. The LX 450 (1996-1997) and the new LX 600 (2022 and up) run 6x139.7. The LX 470 (1998-2007) and the LX 570 (2008-2021) run 5x150. Wheels do not cross between the 5-lug and 6-lug eras.
The Lexus LX Bolt Pattern and the Land Cruiser Sister Chassis
The LX bolt pattern depends on your generation, and this is the single most important fitment fact on the platform. The LX 450 (1996-1997) ran 6x139.7 (also called 6x5.5 inch, 139.7mm = 5.5") with a 106mm factory hub bore. The LX 470 (1998-2007) and LX 570 (2008-2021) both moved to 5x150 with a 110mm factory hub bore. The current LX 600 (2022 and up) returned to 6x139.7 with a 95.1mm factory hub bore. The platform went from six lugs to five lugs and back to six lugs over four generations, and the hub bore changed at every redesign. A wheel built for the LX 570 will not bolt onto an LX 600. A wheel built for the LX 450 will not bolt onto an LX 470. Lug count is different on both transitions.
The LX is built on the same ladder frame as the Toyota Land Cruiser of the same era, and the bolt-pattern history tracks the Land Cruiser exactly. The LX 450 sits on the 80-series Land Cruiser chassis (6x139.7). The LX 470 sits on the 100-series (5x150). The LX 570 sits on the 200-series (5x150). The LX 600 sits on the J300-series (6x139.7). The 5x150 LX wheels physically swap with the 100-series and 200-series Land Cruiser wheels, and the 6x139.7 LX 600 wheels share lug spec with the new 250-series Land Cruiser. This is the one cross-vehicle compatibility we surface because the LX-to-Land-Cruiser relationship is a shared chassis fact, not a generic "shared with" claim. Compare across the rest of the Lexus lineup at our Lexus wheels and rims hub.
LX 470 Tall Front Hub, LX 600 Big Brakes, and What Changes Across Generations
Two platform quirks shape LX fitment beyond the bolt-pattern change. First, the LX 470 (1998-2007) carries a tall front hub. The factory hub protrudes farther out from the wheel mounting surface than a typical SUV hub does, and that means aftermarket center caps designed for a flat-faced wheel can sit proud of the hub or fail to seat. We flag this on every LX 470 wheel listing in our catalog. If the center cap is part of the look you are after on an LX 470, contact our team for a fitment consultation before ordering. Second, the LX 600 (2022 and up) ships with a big-brake package per our catalog notes, and the brake hardware is larger than the LX 570 it replaced. That is why the LX 600 starts at 20 inch as its minimum aftermarket diameter where the LX 570 will go down to 18 inch.
The LX 570 has two distinct fitment windows in our catalog reflecting the 2016 mid-cycle refresh. The early LX 570 (2008-2015) accepts our full 18 to 24 inch aftermarket range, including 305/45/22 tires with a note that they will need modification to the wheel well in front of the front tire. The facelifted LX 570 (2016-2021) starts at 20 inch in our measured window because Lexus moved the factory wheel floor up at the refresh. Across all LX generations, the platform runs square fitment from the factory and almost every aftermarket build runs square. The LX is a full-time four-wheel-drive ladder-frame SUV and matched front-rear circumference is what the AWD system expects.

How We Confirm Fitment on Lexus LX Wheels
Element Wheels measures fitment on the platforms we sell wheels for, including every LX generation from the 1996 LX 450 through the current LX 600. For the LX that means clearance from the wheel to the fender, gap between the back of the wheel and the suspension, brake caliper clearance (which steps up sharply on the LX 600 versus the LX 570 it replaced), hub bore confirmation, lug seat geometry, lug thread pitch (M14x1.5 across every LX generation), and turning clearance with the wheel and tire installed. The LX 470 also gets a tall-front-hub check on every wheel listing because the factory hub geometry interferes with some aftermarket center caps. At our fitment facility in Chandler, Arizona, the Element Wheels team measures directly on the physical platforms we support. We don't pull specs from manufacturer sheets the way most retailers do. That measurement work is what produced the chassis-specific fitment windows on this page, including the 20 inch minimum on the LX 600 and the 305/45/22 trim-clearance note on the early LX 570.
Lexus LX Wheels and Rims FAQ
What is the bolt pattern on a Lexus LX?
It depends on your generation. The LX 450 (1996-1997) ran 6x139.7 (6x5.5 inch) with a 106mm hub bore. The LX 470 (1998-2007) and LX 570 (2008-2021) both moved to 5x150 with a 110mm hub bore. The current LX 600 (2022 and up) returned to 6x139.7 with a 95.1mm hub bore. The platform went six-lug, five-lug, five-lug, six-lug across four generations. Pick your generation above for the right pattern.
Are Lexus LX wheels the same as Toyota Land Cruiser wheels?
Same ladder-frame platform across every era, so the bolt pattern matches between the LX and the Land Cruiser of the same generation. LX 450 and 80-series Land Cruiser both run 6x139.7 / 106mm. LX 470 and 100-series Land Cruiser both run 5x150 / 110mm. LX 570 and 200-series Land Cruiser both run 5x150 / 110mm. The LX 600 shares the J300-series chassis with the 300-series Land Cruiser (6x139.7 / 95.1mm), which is not officially sold in the US. The current US-market 250-series Land Cruiser shares the 6x139.7 / 95.1mm spec but is a smaller truck with different track width and brake hardware. Bolt pattern matches, but vehicle-specific fitment does not always cross. Use the Year/Make/Model search for your exact truck.
Will LX 570 wheels fit the new LX 600?
No. The LX 570 (2008-2021) runs 5x150 and the LX 600 (2022 and up) runs 6x139.7. The LX 600 has six lugs and the LX 570 has five. The wheels do not bolt across that transition under any circumstances. If you are moving from an LX 570 to an LX 600, you need a new wheel set built for the 6x139.7 / 95.1mm hub bore spec, and the LX 600's larger front brake package usually requires a 20 inch minimum diameter.
Why won't my aftermarket center caps fit my LX 470?
The LX 470 carries a tall front hub. The factory hub protrudes farther out from the wheel mounting surface than a typical SUV hub does. Aftermarket center caps designed for a flat-faced wheel can sit proud of the hub or fail to seat. We flag this on every LX 470 wheel listing in our catalog. If the center cap look is important to your build, contact our team for a fitment consultation before ordering so we can verify the cap clears the factory hub on your specific LX 470.
Are Lexus LX wheels staggered?
No. The LX runs a square (non-staggered) fitment from the factory across every generation, and almost every aftermarket build also runs square. The full-time four-wheel-drive system, the load distribution of a body-on-frame full-size SUV, and tire rotation patterns all benefit from the same wheel and tire size on every corner.
What is the largest wheel I can fit on a Lexus LX?
Our Element-measured aftermarket window tops at 24 inch across every LX generation. Most luxury and street builds on the LX land at 22 or 24 inch. The early LX 570 (2008-2015) can also run a 305/45/22 tire with modification to the wheel well in front of the front tire. The LX 600 starts at 20 inch because of the larger factory brake package. The LX 470 and LX 450 will accept smaller diameters down to 16 inch if you are after a more rugged off-road stance.
Do I need hub centric rings on a Lexus LX?
Hub centric rings only when the aftermarket wheel has a centerbore larger than your LX's factory hub. The factory hub is 106mm on the LX 450, 110mm on the LX 470 and LX 570, and 95.1mm on the LX 600. If your fitment needs rings, they'll be included with the order.
How do I find the right wheels for my specific Lexus LX build?
Three steps. Confirm your generation (LX 450 for 1996-1997, LX 470 for 1998-2007, LX 570 for 2008-2021, LX 600 for 2022 and up). For the LX 570, note whether you have the early truck (2008-2015) or the facelift (2016-2021) because the aftermarket diameter window shifts. Use our Year/Make/Model search to see wheels that fit your specific LX and browse the wheel gallery for real builds. If you are on an LX 470 and the center cap look is important to you, contact our team for a fitment consultation. Every wheel we recommend is backed by the Fitment Guarantee.
