The Lexus LX is Lexus's full-size body-on-frame luxury SUV, built on the same ladder-frame platform as the Toyota Land Cruiser. Four generations cover the platform. The LX 450 (1996-1997) is the original, based on the 80-series Land Cruiser. The LX 470 (1998-2007) shares the 100-series Land Cruiser chassis. The LX 570 (2008-2021) shares the 200-series. The current LX 600 (2022 and up) sits on the new J300-series TNGA-F platform. Two things make LX wheel fitment unusual at the platform level. First, the bolt pattern changes across generations: the LX 450 and the new LX 600 run 6x139.7, while the LX 470 and LX 570 run 5x150. The platform moved from six lugs to five lugs to six lugs again. The LX 450 (1996-1997) ran 6x139.7 (also called 6x5.5 inch, 139.7mm = 5.5") with a 106mm factory hub bore. The LX 470 (1998-2007) and LX 570 (2008-2021) both moved to 5x150 with a 110mm factory hub bore. The current LX 600 (2022 and up) returned to 6x139.7 with a 95.1mm factory hub bore. The platform went from six lugs to five lugs and back to six lugs over four generations, and the hub bore changed at every redesign. A wheel built for the LX 570 will not bolt onto an LX 600. A wheel built for the LX 450 will not bolt onto an LX 470. Lug count is different on both transitions.

The LX is built on the same ladder frame as the Toyota Land Cruiser of the same era, and the bolt-pattern history tracks the Land Cruiser exactly. The LX 450 sits on the 80-series Land Cruiser chassis (6x139.7). The LX 470 sits on the 100-series (5x150). The LX 570 sits on the 200-series (5x150). The LX 600 sits on the J300-series (6x139.7). The 5x150 LX wheels physically swap with the 100-series and 200-series Land Cruiser wheels, and the 6x139.7 LX 600 wheels share lug spec with the new 250-series Land Cruiser. LX 470 Tall Front Hub, LX 600 Big Brakes, and What Changes Across Generations

Two platform quirks shape LX fitment beyond the bolt-pattern change. First, the LX 470 (1998-2007) carries a tall front hub. The factory hub protrudes farther out from the wheel mounting surface than a typical SUV hub does, and that means aftermarket center caps designed for a flat-faced wheel can sit proud of the hub or fail to seat. Second, the LX 600 (2022 and up) ships with a big-brake package per our catalog notes, and the brake hardware is larger than the LX 570 it replaced. That is why the LX 600 starts at 20 inch as its minimum aftermarket diameter where the LX 570 will go down to 18 inch.

The LX 570 has two distinct fitment windows in our catalog reflecting the 2016 mid-cycle refresh. The early LX 570 (2008-2015) accepts our full 18 to 24 inch aftermarket range, including 305/45/22 tires with a note that they will need modification to the wheel well in front of the front tire. The facelifted LX 570 (2016-2021) starts at 20 inch in our measured window because Lexus moved the factory wheel floor up at the refresh. Across all LX generations, the platform runs square fitment from the factory and almost every aftermarket build runs square. The LX is a full-time four-wheel-drive ladder-frame SUV and matched front-rear circumference is what the AWD system expects.
