Lucid Air Aftermarket Wheel Fitment

The Lucid Air is Lucid's electric luxury sedan, in production since the 2022 model year. The lineup runs from the entry Air Pure through the Air Touring, the Air Grand Touring, and the top-spec Air Sapphire. Across every trim, our catalog locks the Air on a 5x120 bolt pattern (different from the 5x108 spec used on Jaguar and Land Rover, and different from the 5x114.3 used on most Asian sedans) with a 64.1mm hub bore. The factory lug hardware is M14x1.5 lug nuts. Every Air in our catalog is must-staggered from the factory, with a wider rear wheel and tire than the front. The Air Pure, Touring, and Grand Touring run a 19 to 21 inch diameter window. The Air Sapphire steps up to a 20 to 21 inch diameter window with a carbon ceramic Brembo brake package and a notably taller caliper that constrains the inner barrel clearance behind the front wheel face. Compare across the rest of the Lucid lineup at our Lucid wheels and rims hub.

Find Your Lucid Air

Pick your trim to see wheels and rims that fit your specific Air. Bolt pattern (5x120), hub bore (64.1mm), and lug hardware (M14x1.5 lug nuts) are constant across every Air. What changes between trims is the diameter window and the brake package. The Pure, Touring, and Grand Touring share the same fitment family. The Air Sapphire steps up to a carbon ceramic Brembo brake package with a taller caliper.

The Lucid Air Bolt Pattern

Every Lucid Air we measure uses a 5x120 bolt pattern with a 64.1mm hub bore. That covers every trim from the entry Air Pure through the Air Sapphire, and every model year from 2022 forward. Lug count is five and the thread pitch is M14x1.5 lug nuts. The 5x120 pattern itself is the same spec BMW uses on most of its sedans and SUVs, so the bolt math matches a 3 Series, 5 Series, 7 Series, X3, X5, or X7. The hub bore on the Air does not. BMWs of this era use a 72.6mm or 74.1mm hub bore. The Air's 64.1mm hub bore is smaller, so wheels built specifically for a BMW will not hub-center on the Air without rings to step the larger bore down. A wheel built for the Air at 5x120 / 64.1mm has the right bolt math to mount on a BMW, but it will sit loose on the BMW hub without rings the other direction.

The factory wheel hardware on every Air is M14x1.5 lug nuts onto fixed wheel studs. That is the same lug spec the Tesla Model S and Model X use, even though the Tesla bolt pattern is different (5x120 on the early Model S, 5x114.3 on later cars). The studs simplify mounting because the wheel can locate on the studs before the nuts go on, which is different from the lug bolt convention used on most European luxury sedans (Jaguar, Audi, Mercedes) where the bolt threads directly into the hub and there are no studs to locate the wheel. Aftermarket conical-seat lug nuts compatible with M14x1.5 thread pitch work on the Air.

Why the Air Sapphire Needs Different Wheels Than the Rest of the Lineup

Every Air in our catalog is must-staggered from the factory. The rear wheel is wider than the front and the rear tire is wider than the front. Square setups (same width front and rear) are not supported on the Air because the factory fitment box does not accommodate them on this platform. The Air is rear-biased in its torque split under power on the dual-motor cars, and the staggered geometry is part of how Lucid engineered the chassis to put the power down with an electric drivetrain that delivers full torque from a standstill.

What separates the Air Sapphire from the Pure, Touring, and Grand Touring is the brake package. The Sapphire comes from the factory with a carbon ceramic Brembo brake package that steps up the brake height noticeably on both axles compared to the steel brake hardware on the rest of the lineup. The carbon ceramic caliper face takes more room behind the wheel spokes, so wheels with deeply concave back surfaces need verification against the brake package you actually have. The aftermarket diameter window on the Sapphire is 20 to 21 inch (the Sapphire is not supported at 19 inch because the carbon ceramic caliper does not clear the smaller wheel). The Pure, Touring, and Grand Touring run a 19 to 21 inch diameter window. The front brake is larger than the rear on every Air in our catalog, which is normal on a performance electric sedan. The front axle handles the majority of the braking load and Lucid scales the front rotor and caliper accordingly.

Element Wheels Measured Aftermarket Fitment, Lucid Air

Publishable factory and wheel specs across the Air trim lineup:

  • Air Pure / Touring / Grand Touring (2022 and up): 5x120 bolt pattern, 64.1mm hub bore, M14x1.5 lug nuts. Element aftermarket diameter range: 19 to 21 inch. Aftermarket width range: 8.5 to 9 inch (front), 9.5 to 10.5 inch (rear). Must-staggered. Steel brake package, front brake larger than rear.
  • Air Sapphire (2024 and up): 5x120 bolt pattern, 64.1mm hub bore, M14x1.5 lug nuts. Element aftermarket diameter range: 20 to 21 inch. Aftermarket width: 9.5 inch (front), 10.5 inch (rear). Must-staggered. Carbon ceramic Brembo brake package, taller caliper than the steel package on both axles, front brake larger than rear.

Offset windows are tightly controlled on the Air because of the must-staggered geometry and the Sapphire's carbon ceramic brake package. For your exact aftermarket offset, three options:

  • 1. Use our Year/Make/Model search to see wheels that fit your specific Air (each listing shows its own offset).
  • 2. Browse the Air wheel gallery for real-life builds with size, offset, and tire spec captions.
  • 3. Call or chat with our team for a free fitment consultation. On the Air Sapphire specifically, do this before you order so we can confirm the carbon ceramic caliper clearance against the wheel face you want.

Every wheel we recommend is backed by our Fitment Guarantee. If a wheel does not fit, we pick up the wheels and refund 100 percent. No risk to you.

How We Confirm Fitment on Lucid Air Wheels

Element Wheels measures fitment on the Air directly, separately for the steel-brake Pure, Touring, and Grand Touring trims and for the carbon-ceramic-brake Sapphire. For the Air that means clearance from the wheel to the fender on both axles, gap between the back of the wheel and the suspension, brake caliper height (taller on the Sapphire than on the rest of the lineup), hub bore confirmation to the 64.1mm Lucid hub, and lug nut seat depth on the aftermarket wheel against the M14x1.5 stud and conical-seat hardware. We also confirm the must-staggered front-to-rear offset and width relationship that holds across every Air row in our catalog. At our fitment facility in Chandler, Arizona, the Element Wheels team measures directly on the physical platforms we support. We don't pull specs from manufacturer sheets the way most retailers do.

Lucid Air Wheels and Rims FAQ

What is the bolt pattern on a Lucid Air?

Every Lucid Air from 2022 forward uses 5x120 with a 64.1mm hub bore. Lug count is five and thread pitch is M14x1.5 lug nuts onto fixed studs. That covers the Air Pure, Air Touring, Air Grand Touring, and Air Sapphire. The 5x120 pattern itself is shared with most BMW sedans and SUVs, but the Air's 64.1mm hub bore is different from the BMW hub spec.

Will BMW wheels fit a Lucid Air?

The bolt math matches, but the hub bore does not. The Air runs 5x120 with a 64.1mm hub bore. BMWs of this era run 5x120 with a 72.6mm or 74.1mm hub bore. A BMW wheel will physically bolt to a Lucid Air, but the BMW's larger 72.6mm or 74.1mm centerbore will sit loose on the Air's smaller 64.1mm hub. Hub centric rings can step the larger bore down. Going the other direction (Air wheel onto a BMW), the Air's smaller 64.1mm bore will not seat over the BMW's larger hub, and that fitment does not work. The offset window and the brake clearance window are also different car by car. We measure Lucid Air fitments separately even when the bolt math matches another platform.

Are Lucid Air wheels staggered?

Yes, every Lucid Air in our catalog is must-staggered from the factory. The rear wheel is wider than the front and the rear tire is wider than the front. Square setups (same width front and rear) are not supported on the Air because the factory fitment box does not accommodate them. Our measured aftermarket width window is 8.5 to 9 inch up front and 9.5 to 10.5 inch at the rear on the Pure, Touring, and Grand Touring. The Sapphire is 9.5 inch front and 10.5 inch rear.

Does the Air Sapphire need different wheels than the rest of the Air lineup?

The bolt pattern, hub bore, and lug hardware are the same. What changes is the brake package and the diameter window. The Sapphire comes from the factory with a carbon ceramic Brembo brake package that has a taller caliper than the steel hardware on the Pure, Touring, and Grand Touring. The carbon ceramic caliper takes more room behind the wheel spokes, so wheels with deeply concave back surfaces need verification against the brake package you actually have. The aftermarket diameter window on the Sapphire is 20 to 21 inch (no 19 inch option because the carbon ceramic caliper does not clear the smaller wheel). The rest of the Air lineup runs 19 to 21 inch.

What is the hub bore on a Lucid Air?

Every Lucid Air uses a 64.1mm hub bore. This is the Lucid hub spec across the lineup. Hub centric rings only when the aftermarket wheel has a centerbore larger than 64.1mm. If your fitment needs rings, they'll be included with the order.

Lug bolts or lug nuts on the Lucid Air?

Lug nuts onto fixed studs on the Air, M14x1.5 thread pitch with a conical seat. That is the same lug spec the Tesla Model S and Model X use, and different from the lug bolt convention used on most European luxury sedans (Jaguar, Audi, Mercedes) where the bolt threads directly into the hub. The studs let the wheel locate before the nuts go on, which simplifies mounting compared to the lug bolt setup. Aftermarket conical-seat lug nuts compatible with M14x1.5 thread pitch work on the Air.

What size wheels come on a Lucid Air from the factory?

Factory wheels on the Air range from 19 inch on the entry Air Pure up through 21 inch on the Air Grand Touring and the Air Sapphire. The Sapphire comes from the factory with a 21 inch staggered package. Our aftermarket diameter window is 19 to 21 inch on the Pure, Touring, and Grand Touring and 20 to 21 inch on the Sapphire. See the measured fitment box above for the per-trim windows.

Do I need hub centric rings on a Lucid Air?

Hub centric rings only when the aftermarket wheel has a centerbore larger than 64.1mm. If your fitment needs rings, they'll be included with the order.
