The 1st gen GG Mazda 6 (2003-2008) was Mazda's first sport-tuned mid-size sedan and the diameter window starts at 16 inch because the factory offered the original car on smaller wheels. The 2nd gen GH (2009-2013) is similar in fitment to the GG with a slightly wider width window (up to 8.5 inch in our measured range) because the body opened up the fender slightly. The 3rd gen GJ (2014-2021) is where the Mazda 6 became a more athletic mid-size sedan: the diameter window starts at 17 inch, the width window opens to 9 inch, and the brake clearance changed enough that we measure it as its own row even though the bolt pattern stayed the same.

The 2006-2008 Mazdaspeed6 is the turbocharged AWD performance variant of the 1st gen Mazda 6. The Mazdaspeed6 was sold from 2006 through 2008 only and carried an upgraded brake package over the regular GG Mazda 6.
