The Mazda CX-5 Bolt Pattern

Both Mazda CX-5 generations run a 5x114.3 bolt pattern with a 67.1mm hub bore. The imperial nickname for this pattern is 5x4.5 because 114.3mm equals 4.5 inches exactly. The lug count is 5, the thread pitch is M12x1.5. The bolt pattern did not change between the 2013-2016 1st gen KE and the 2017 and up 2nd gen KF, so wheels cross between the two generations on bolt pattern alone (the only differences between the two are about fender clearance and brake spec, not the hub spec).

One detail to flag because it catches some buyers. 5x114.3 is NOT the same as the 5x115 pattern used on some American sedans. The two sit roughly 0.7mm apart on the hub circle and a wheel built for one will not properly seat on the other. The 5x4.5 imperial nickname refers to 5x114.3 only. The 5x115 pattern lives on cars like the Chrysler 300 and the Dodge Charger and those wheels will not fit your CX-5. When you are shopping, confirm the wheel listing says 5x114.3 specifically. Why the CX-5 Generation Still Matters for Fitment

The two CX-5 generations share the same bolt pattern, hub bore, lug count, and thread pitch, and our measured aftermarket diameter and width windows are also identical between the two (17 to 22 inch diameter, 7.5 to 8.5 inch width). What still varies is the fender opening shape, the brake caliper spec, and the suspension geometry around the same 17 inch brake height. We measure each generation independently so the recommended offset window matches the car you actually own, not a template carried over from the prior generation.

The CX-5 is a square (non-staggered) crossover across both generations. Same wheel spec front and rear on every trim. Most aftermarket CX-5 buyers land at 18 or 19 inch on the KF for the upgraded look without losing too much sidewall on a daily-driven crossover.
