The Mazda CX-70 Bolt Pattern

The Mazda CX-70 runs a 5x114.3 bolt pattern with a 67.1mm hub bore. The imperial nickname for this pattern is 5x4.5 because 114.3mm equals 4.5 inches exactly. The lug count is 5, the thread pitch is M12x1.5. Mazda kept the same 5x114.3 / 67.1mm hub spec on the new Mazda Large Architecture that they use on the smaller SkyActiv platforms, which means CX-70 fitment uses the same widely-available aftermarket bolt pattern as the Mazda3, the CX-30, the CX-5, and the rest of the Mazda lineup.

One detail to flag because it catches some buyers. 5x114.3 is NOT the same as the 5x115 pattern used on some American sedans. The two sit roughly 0.7mm apart on the hub circle and a wheel built for one will not properly seat on the other. The 5x4.5 imperial nickname refers to 5x114.3 only. The 5x115 pattern lives on cars like the Chrysler 300 and the Dodge Charger and those wheels will not fit your CX-70. When you are shopping, confirm the wheel listing says 5x114.3 specifically. Diameter and Width Window for the CX-70

Our measured aftermarket diameter window opens at 18 inch and tops at 24 inch. The width window runs from 8.5 to 10 inch square front and rear. The 18 inch floor is set by the brake caliper, which we measure at 18 inch on the CX-70 (one inch taller than the CX-5 and CX-50 brakes because the CX-70 is on the larger Mazda Large platform with heavier curb weight and bigger discs). The 10 inch top of the width window and the 24 inch top of the diameter window are the widest and largest in the Mazda crossover lineup we cover, which reflects the longer wheelbase, wider track, and roomier fender openings of Mazda Large Architecture.

The CX-70 is a square (non-staggered) crossover across all trims, including the PHEV. Same wheel spec front and rear on every variant. Most aftermarket CX-70 buyers land at 20 or 22 inch for the upscale look without losing too much sidewall on what is meant to be a comfortable two-row family hauler.
