Find Your Saturn Aura Generation

The 2007-2009 Aura is the only generation Saturn built. It ran on GM's Epsilon platform alongside the Chevrolet Malibu and the Pontiac G6. Every trim (base, XE, XR, Green Line hybrid) shares the same hub. Production ended early in 2009 when GM wound the Saturn brand down.

The Saturn Aura Bolt Pattern

The 2007-2009 Aura uses a 5x110 bolt pattern with a 65.1mm hub bore and an M12x1.5 lug thread. 5x110 is the GM Euro-style midsize pattern from the era. The Epsilon platform Chevrolet Malibu (2004-2007 and 2008-2012) is the Aura's direct platform sibling and uses the same 5x110 / 65.1mm hub. The Pontiac G6 (2005-2010) is also Epsilon and shares the same hub spec. Inside the Saturn brand, the same 5x110 / 65.1mm hub appears on the smaller Saturn Astra hatchback and the Kappa platform Sky roadster, though those are different vehicles with different fender geometry and different aftermarket choices.

Important distinction: the Aura is 5x110, and is not the same as 5x114.3. The two are different bolt patterns and sit about 4.3mm apart on the hub circle. A 5x114.3 wheel will not start on a 5x110 hub. The 5x4.5 imperial nickname refers only to 5x114.3 (114.3mm equals 4.5 inch) and does not apply to the Aura. Aura Trim Differences and Measured Fitment

The Aura keeps the same hub geometry across every trim and model year. Base, XE, XR, and Green Line hybrid all share the same 5x110 bolt pattern, 65.1mm hub bore, M12x1.5 lug thread, and brake package on the catalog. The XR ships with the larger 3.6L V6 versus the base 2.4L four cylinder and the Green Line's mild-hybrid 2.4L, and the XR comes on a larger factory wheel, but the fitment geometry stays the same. A wheel that fits a base 2008 Aura also fits a 2008 Aura XR and a 2008 Aura Green Line.

The diameter window we measure runs 17 inch on the low end up to 20 inch on the show-build end. 17 to 18 inch is the most common Aura aftermarket choice for everyday driving and is also what most XR trims came on from the factory. 19 to 20 inch is the show-build choice. Above 20 inch on the Epsilon Aura the tire sidewall thins enough that ride quality drops and the bigger wheel starts to pick up potholes the way a stock Aura suspension was never tuned to absorb.

How We Confirm Fitment on Saturn Aura Wheels

Element Wheels measures fitment on the Aura directly, across base, XE, XR, and Green Line hybrid. For the Aura that means hub bore confirmation at 65.1mm, clearance from the wheel to the fender on a stock-height car, gap between the back of the wheel and the strut on this Epsilon front wheel drive layout, brake caliper height at the standard Epsilon spec, lug seat depth, and lug thread confirmation at M12x1.5. At our fitment facility in Chandler, Arizona, the Element Wheels team measures directly on the physical platforms we support. We don't pull specs from manufacturer sheets the way most retailers do. The Aura shares its hub family with the Malibu and the G6, so a wheel proven on one Epsilon car gives us a strong starting point on the others, but we still verify each platform on its own.
