Saturn L-Series Aftermarket Wheel Fitment
The Saturn L-Series is Saturn's midsize sedan and wagon, sold from 2000 through 2004 on the GM Opel Vectra B platform shared with the European Opel Vectra B sister car. Element Wheels measures fitment on the 2000-2004 L-Series across both the sedan (LS, LS1, LS2, L100, L200, L300) and the wagon (LW, LW1, LW2, LW200, LW300). Every L-Series in that range shares the same hub: 5x110 bolt pattern, 65.1mm hub bore, M12x1.5 lug thread, 5 lugs. The L-Series diameter window we measure runs 15 to 20 inch. Pick the catalog row below.
Find Your Saturn L-Series Generation
The 2000-2004 L-Series is the only generation Saturn built. It launched in 2000 as Saturn's first midsize offering, slotted above the S-Series compact, and ran through the 2004 model year. The L-Series rode on the GM Opel Vectra B platform, the same chassis underpinning the European Opel Vectra B mid-size sedan and wagon. Saturn offered both a sedan and a 5-door wagon body. Every trim (LS, LW, and the numbered L100 through LW300 variants) shares the same hub.
The Saturn L-Series Bolt Pattern
The 2000-2004 L-Series uses a 5x110 bolt pattern with a 65.1mm hub bore and an M12x1.5 lug thread. 5x110 is the GM Euro-style midsize pattern of the era, inherited from the Opel Vectra B platform the L-Series was built on. The European Opel Vectra B (1995-2002) is the L-Series' direct platform sibling and uses the same 5x110 / 65.1mm hub. Inside the GM family the 5x110 / 65.1mm hub appears later on the Saturn Aura (Epsilon platform, 2007-2009), the Pontiac G6 (2005-2010), and the Chevrolet Malibu (2004-2012), although those cars ride on different chassis with different fender geometry and different aftermarket choices than the L-Series.
Important distinction: the L-Series is 5x110, and is not the same as 5x114.3. The two are different bolt patterns and sit about 4.3mm apart on the hub circle. A 5x114.3 wheel will not start on a 5x110 hub. The 5x4.5 imperial nickname refers only to 5x114.3 (114.3mm equals 4.5 inch) and does not apply to the L-Series. Confirm any wheel listing says 5x110 before ordering. Compare across the rest of the Saturn lineup at our Saturn wheels and rims hub.
Hub bore on the L-Series is 65.1mm. A wheel with a centerbore larger than 65.1mm needs hub centric rings to bring the bore down to the L-Series' hub diameter. If your fitment needs rings, they'll be included with the order.
Sedan, Wagon, and the Opel Vectra B Connection
The L-Series keeps the same hub geometry across both body styles and every trim. Sedan (LS, LS1, LS2, L100, L200, L300) and wagon (LW, LW1, LW2, LW200, LW300) all share the same 5x110 bolt pattern, 65.1mm hub bore, M12x1.5 lug thread, and brake package on the catalog. The numbered trims correspond to engine choice: the L100 / LW1 series ran the 2.2 liter four cylinder, the L200 / LW200 series upgraded to a higher trim four cylinder, and the L300 / LW300 series came with the 3.0 liter V6 sourced from Opel. The V6 trims came on larger factory wheels but the fitment geometry stays the same across the lineup.
The L-Series is the Saturn version of the European Opel Vectra B (1995-2002), a same-chassis development that GM rebranded for the Saturn dealer network in North America. The two cars are not visually identical but underneath, the body structure, the front and rear suspension geometry, the 5x110 / 65.1mm hub, and the brake package are direct cousins. The Vectra B is a useful reference point if you are cross-shopping European market wheels for the L-Series. Confirm offset and width against the L-Series specifically because the body sheetmetal and the fender geometry are not identical between the two cars.
The diameter window we measure runs 15 inch on the low end up to 20 inch on the show-build end. The factory wheel range was 15 inch on base trims, 16 inch on most other trims, and 16 to 17 inch on the L300 V6 trim. 16 to 17 inch is the most common L-Series aftermarket choice for daily driving. 18 to 19 inch is the upper end and 20 inch is the show-build choice. Above 20 inch the tire sidewall thins enough that ride quality drops on the L-Series suspension. The L-Series is square (same width front and rear) on every trim and every year. No staggered L-Series exists from the factory.
Element Wheels Measured Aftermarket Fitment, Saturn L-Series
Publishable factory and wheel specs across the L-Series lineup we cover:
- 2000-2004 L-Series Sedan (LS, L100, L200, L300): 5x110 bolt pattern, 65.1mm hub bore, M12x1.5 lug thread, 5 lug. Element aftermarket diameter range: 15-20 inch. Aftermarket width range: 6.0-8.0 inch. Square fitment. Same brake size front and rear.
- 2000-2004 L-Series Wagon (LW, LW1, LW2, LW200, LW300): Same 5x110 / 65.1mm / 12x1.5 hub as the sedan. Same diameter and width windows.
For your exact aftermarket offset, three options:
- 1. Use our Year/Make/Model search to see wheels that fit your specific L-Series (each listing shows its own offset).
- 2. Browse the L-Series wheel gallery for real-life builds with size, offset, and tire spec captions.
- 3. Call or chat with our team for a free fitment consultation.
Every wheel we recommend is backed by our Fitment Guarantee. If a wheel does not fit, we pick up the wheels and refund 100 percent. No risk to you.
How We Confirm Fitment on Saturn L-Series Wheels
Element Wheels measures fitment on the platforms we sell wheels for, including the 2000-2004 Saturn L-Series in both sedan and wagon body styles. For the L-Series that means hub bore confirmation at 65.1mm, clearance from the wheel to the fender on the sedan and the longer wagon roof body, gap between the back of the wheel and the front strut and brake caliper on the Opel Vectra B chassis, lug seat geometry on the M12x1.5 thread, and turning clearance with the wheel and tire installed at full lock on a front wheel drive chassis. At our fitment facility in Chandler, Arizona, the Element Wheels team measures directly on the physical platforms we support. We don't pull specs from manufacturer sheets the way most retailers do.
Saturn L-Series Wheels and Rims FAQ
What is the bolt pattern on a Saturn L-Series?
Every 2000-2004 Saturn L-Series runs 5x110 with a 65.1mm hub bore and 12x1.5 lug nuts, across both the sedan and the wagon body styles. 5x110 is the GM Euro-style midsize pattern inherited from the Opel Vectra B platform. Note that 5x110 is NOT the same as 5x114.3. Those are about 4.3mm apart on the bolt circle and do not cross.
What years was the Saturn L-Series sold in North America?
The Saturn L-Series ran from 2000 through 2004 model years in North America. Saturn launched the L-Series as its first midsize entry, slotted above the S-Series compact. The lineup included both a 4-door sedan and a 5-door wagon. The L-Series was retired after the 2004 model year and replaced in the Saturn lineup by the Aura midsize sedan on the Epsilon platform a couple of years later.
What is the hub bore on a Saturn L-Series?
65.1mm on every L-Series, sedan and wagon, every model year. A wheel with a larger centerbore needs hub centric rings to bring the bore down to the L-Series' hub diameter. If your fitment needs rings, they'll be included with the order.
Is the Saturn L-Series the same as the Opel Vectra B?
Same platform, different bodies. The 2000-2004 Saturn L-Series and the 1995-2002 Opel Vectra B share the GM Opel Vectra B chassis with the same suspension geometry, the same 5x110 bolt pattern, the same 65.1mm hub bore, and the same M12x1.5 lug nuts. The sheetmetal and the interior are Saturn-specific for the North American market and the Vectra B was the European market sister car. Wheels that bolt to a Vectra B at the lug spec level will also bolt to an L-Series. The body sheetmetal and fender geometry are not identical, so confirm offset and width against the L-Series specifically.
Are L-Series sedan and L-Series wagon wheels interchangeable?
Yes. The L-Series sedan and the L-Series wagon share the same hub geometry, the same 5x110 / 65.1mm / 12x1.5 lug spec, and the same brake package across every trim. A wheel that fits an L200 sedan also fits an LW200 wagon. The same is true across every trim level (L100, L200, L300 on the sedan; LW1, LW2, LW200, LW300 on the wagon). Confirm offset and width to the body style you actually have because the wagon's tire clearance window is different from the sedan around the rear quarter.
Are Saturn L-Series wheels staggered?
No. Every L-Series runs square (same width front and rear) on every trim and both body styles. The car is front wheel drive end to end. There is no factory staggered L-Series. Most aftermarket L-Series builds also run square because the chassis is engineered around equal grip front to rear and tire rotation is part of normal maintenance.
What is the largest wheel I can fit on a Saturn L-Series?
Our measured aftermarket diameter window on the L-Series tops at 20 inch. The factory wheel range was 15 to 17 inch depending on trim. 16 to 17 inch is the most common L-Series aftermarket choice for daily driving. 18 to 19 inch is the upper end and 20 inch is the show-build choice. Going past 20 inch on the L-Series compromises ride quality enough that we do not recommend it for a daily driven car.
How do I find the right wheels for my specific Saturn L-Series build?
Three steps. Confirm your trim and body style: sedan (LS, L100, L200, L300) or wagon (LW, LW1, LW2, LW200, LW300). Use our Year/Make/Model search to see wheels that fit your specific year. Browse the wheel gallery for real-world L-Series builds with size, offset, and tire captions. For a V6 L300 or LW300 build especially, contact our team for a free fitment consultation. Every wheel we recommend is backed by the Fitment Guarantee.
