Saturn Relay Aftermarket Wheel Fitment

The Saturn Relay is Saturn's front wheel drive minivan, built from 2005 through 2007 on GM's U-body chassis shared with the Chevrolet Uplander, the Pontiac Montana SV6, and the Buick Terraza of the same era. Element Wheels measures fitment on the 2005-2007 Relay across the base and uplevel trims. Every Relay in our catalog shares the same hub: 5x115 bolt pattern, 70.3mm hub bore, M12x1.5 lug thread, 5 lugs. The Relay diameter window we measure runs 16 to 20 inch. Pick the catalog row below.

Find Your Saturn Relay Generation

The 2005-2007 Relay is the only generation Saturn built. The Relay was Saturn's first and only minivan, slotted into the lineup in 2005 alongside Saturn's other GM-shared product strategy of the period. Production ran through the 2007 model year, with Saturn ending the Relay early ahead of the brand's overall wind-down a few years later. The catalog row supports the FWD Relay across every trim and every year.

The Saturn Relay Bolt Pattern

The 2005-2007 Relay uses a 5x115 bolt pattern with a 70.3mm hub bore and an M12x1.5 lug thread. 5x115 is the GM passenger car and FWD minivan pattern of the era. The Relay's same-platform siblings (Chevrolet Uplander FWD, Pontiac Montana SV6 FWD, and Buick Terraza FWD) all share the same 5x115 / 70.3mm hub. Inside the GM family the 5x115 pattern also appears on the Chevrolet Impala, Malibu, and Equinox of the mid-2000s, although those cars ride on different chassis with different fender geometry.

Important distinction: 5x115 is NOT the same as 5x114.3. The two patterns sit about 0.7mm apart on the bolt circle, which is enough to stress the lug studs over time and create a real safety problem. The 5x4.5 imperial nickname refers to 5x114.3 only (114.3mm equals 4.5 inches exactly) and does not apply to the 5x115 Relay. When you are shopping for Relay wheels, confirm the listing reads 5x115 specifically. Compare across the rest of the Saturn lineup at our Saturn wheels and rims hub.

Hub bore on the Relay is 70.3mm. Most aftermarket 5x115 wheels are bored larger than 70.3mm to fit a wider range of GM vehicles, so hub centric rings are commonly part of a Relay fitment. If your fitment needs rings, they'll be included with the order.

The U-Body Family and Measured Fitment

The Relay is one of four nameplates GM sold on the U-body minivan platform during the 2005-2007 window. The Chevrolet Uplander, Pontiac Montana SV6, Buick Terraza, and Saturn Relay are the same minivan underneath, with different front and rear fascia, different interior trim, and different badge positioning. Underneath the sheetmetal, the body structure, the suspension geometry, the 5x115 / 70.3mm hub on the FWD variant, and the brake package are direct cousins. The Relay specifically ended after the 2007 model year, where the other three U-body siblings ran through 2009.

Element Wheels' active catalog row supports the 2005-2007 FWD Saturn Relay. The Chevrolet Uplander, by contrast, was offered with both an FWD 5-lug 5x115 hub and an AWD 6-lug 6x115 hub. Our Saturn Relay catalog covers the FWD configuration. If you are running a Saturn Relay AWD or you are not certain about your drivetrain, count the lug nuts on one wheel: 5 lugs is the standard Relay FWD that our catalog supports. If your Relay has 6 lugs, contact our team for a free fitment consultation because we treat 6-lug U-body fitment as a separate fitment family with a smaller aftermarket pool.

The diameter window we measure runs 16 inch on the low end up to 20 inch on the show-build end. The factory wheel range was 16 to 17 inch. 17 to 18 inch is the most common Relay aftermarket choice for daily driving. 19 to 20 inch is the show-build choice on a U-body minivan. Above 20 inch the tire sidewall compresses enough that ride quality on the minivan suspension drops to a point that is not the right answer for the family hauler use case. The Relay is square (same width front and rear) on every trim and every year.

Element Wheels Measured Aftermarket Fitment, Saturn Relay

Publishable factory and wheel specs across the Relay lineup we cover:

  • 2005-2007 Relay FWD (all trims): 5x115 bolt pattern, 70.3mm hub bore, M12x1.5 lug thread, 5 lug. Element aftermarket diameter range: 16-20 inch. Aftermarket width range: 7.0-9.0 inch. Square fitment. Same brake size front and rear.

For your exact aftermarket offset, three options:

  • 1. Use our Year/Make/Model search to see wheels that fit your specific Relay (each listing shows its own offset).
  • 2. Browse the Saturn Relay wheel gallery for real-life builds with size, offset, and tire spec captions.
  • 3. Call or chat with our team for a free fitment consultation, especially if your Relay has 6 lugs.

Every wheel we recommend is backed by our Fitment Guarantee. If a wheel does not fit, we pick up the wheels and refund 100 percent. No risk to you.

How We Confirm Fitment on Saturn Relay Wheels

Element Wheels measures fitment on the platforms we sell wheels for, including the 2005-2007 Saturn Relay on the U-body minivan platform. For the Relay that means hub bore confirmation at 70.3mm, clearance from the wheel to the fender on a stock-height minivan body, gap between the back of the wheel and the front strut on the U-body chassis, brake caliper height, lug seat depth, and lug thread confirmation at M12x1.5. At our fitment facility in Chandler, Arizona, the Element Wheels team measures directly on the physical platforms we support. We don't pull specs from manufacturer sheets the way most retailers do.

Saturn Relay Wheels and Rims FAQ

What is the bolt pattern on a Saturn Relay?

The 2005-2007 Saturn Relay FWD runs 5x115 with a 70.3mm hub bore and 12x1.5 lug nuts, 5 lugs total. 5x115 is the GM passenger car and FWD minivan pattern of the era, shared with the Chevrolet Uplander FWD, Pontiac Montana SV6 FWD, and Buick Terraza FWD on the same U-body platform. Note that 5x115 is NOT the same as 5x114.3. Those are 0.7mm apart at the bolt circle and do not cross.

What years was the Saturn Relay sold in North America?

The Saturn Relay ran from 2005 through 2007 model years in North America. The Relay was Saturn's first and only minivan. Saturn ended Relay production after the 2007 model year, where the other three U-body siblings (Chevrolet Uplander, Pontiac Montana SV6, Buick Terraza) ran through 2009.

What is the hub bore on a Saturn Relay?

70.3mm on the Saturn Relay FWD. Most aftermarket 5x115 wheels are bored larger than 70.3mm to fit a wider range of GM vehicles, so hub centric rings are commonly part of a Relay fitment. If your fitment needs rings, they'll be included with the order.

Will Chevrolet Uplander, Pontiac Montana SV6, or Buick Terraza wheels fit my Saturn Relay?

Yes, matching the drivetrain. The Saturn Relay, Chevrolet Uplander, Pontiac Montana SV6, and Buick Terraza are all the same GM U-body minivan, sold under four badges. FWD versions of all four share the 5x115 / 70.3mm / 5-lug hub. A wheel that fits a FWD Uplander, Montana SV6, or Terraza also fits a FWD Relay at the lug spec level. The Uplander also offered an AWD 6-lug variant (6x115); the Relay was sold FWD in our catalog, so the AWD fitment family is separate. Confirm the drivetrain matches before ordering.

Is the Relay 5x115 the same as the Chevrolet Impala 5x115?

Pattern yes, full fitment confirm. The 5x115 bolt pattern on the FWD Relay is the same pattern GM used on the Chevrolet Impala, Malibu, and Equinox of the same era. The hub bore is also 70.3mm on those platforms. The Relay's wheel well is shaped for a minivan, not a sedan or compact crossover, so offset and width windows differ. Confirm the wheel listing was fit-tested on the Relay or another U-body minivan specifically before ordering.

Are Saturn Relay wheels staggered?

No. Every Relay runs square (same width front and rear) on every trim and every year. The minivan is front wheel drive in our catalog row. There is no factory staggered Relay. Most aftermarket Relay builds also run square because the chassis is engineered around equal grip front to rear and tire rotation is part of normal maintenance.

What is the largest wheel I can fit on a Saturn Relay?

20 inch is the top of our measured aftermarket window on the Saturn Relay. The factory wheel range was 16 to 17 inch. 17 to 18 inch is the most common Relay aftermarket choice. 19 to 20 inch is the show-build upper end. Going past 20 inch on a U-body minivan compresses the tire sidewall to a point that ride quality on the minivan suspension is not the right answer for the family hauler use case.

How do I find the right wheels for my specific Saturn Relay build?

Three steps. Count the lug nuts on one wheel to confirm your Relay is the standard FWD 5-lug configuration our catalog supports. Use our Year/Make/Model search to see wheels that fit your specific year. Browse the wheel gallery for real-world Relay builds with size, offset, and tire captions. If your Relay turns out to be a 6-lug variant, contact our team for a free fitment consultation. Every wheel we recommend is backed by the Fitment Guarantee.
