Saturn Vue Aftermarket Wheel Fitment
The Saturn Vue is Saturn's compact crossover SUV, built across two generations from 2002 through 2009. Element Wheels measures fitment on the 2002-2007 first gen Vue, the 2005-2007 Vue Red Line, and the 2008-2009 second gen Vue (the GM Theta platform rebadge of the Chevrolet Equinox). Every Vue in the lineup we cover shares the same hub: 5x115 bolt pattern, 70.3mm hub bore, M12x1.5 lug thread, 5 lugs. That holds across generations and across trims. The Vue diameter window we measure runs 16 to 22 inch depending on generation. Pick the catalog row that matches your year below.
Find Your Saturn Vue Generation
Two generations of Vue ran during Saturn's lifetime. The first gen (2002-2007) was Saturn's own SUV with the Vue Red Line performance trim added for 2005 through 2007. The second gen (2008-2009) moved onto GM's global Theta platform and shared its underpinnings with the Chevrolet Equinox and the Pontiac Torrent. Both generations share the same 5x115 / 70.3mm hub. The second gen widens the diameter window up to 22 inch on the catalog.
The Saturn Vue Bolt Pattern
Every Saturn Vue we cover uses a 5x115 bolt pattern with a 70.3mm hub bore and an M12x1.5 lug thread. The hub spec is consistent from the 2002 launch through the 2009 final model year and across both generations. The second gen Vue is built on GM's Theta platform with the same 5x115 / 70.3mm hub as the Chevrolet Equinox (2005-2009) and the Pontiac Torrent (2006-2009). Inside GM the same 5x115 / 70.3mm hub also appears on the Chevrolet Uplander 5-lug minivan from the same era.
Important distinction: the Vue is 5x115, and is not the same as 5x114.3. They look almost identical on paper but sit about 0.7mm apart on the hub circle, and the lug studs will not start cleanly on the wrong pattern. The 5x4.5 imperial nickname refers only to 5x114.3 (114.3mm equals 4.5 inch) and does not apply to the Vue. Confirm any wheel listing says 5x115 before ordering. Compare across the rest of the Saturn lineup at our Saturn wheels and rims hub.
Vue Generation Differences and Measured Fitment
The first gen Vue (2002-2007) was Saturn's standalone compact SUV. Available with the Ecotec 4-cylinder, a 3.0L V6 in the early years, and the Honda-sourced 3.5L J35 V6 from 2004 onward. The Vue Red Line (2005-2007) is the performance trim built on the same chassis with the Honda V6, a tuned suspension, and a more aggressive factory wheel. Across the entire first gen, the hub stays 5x115 / 70.3mm with M12x1.5 lugs. The Vue Red Line uses the same hub as the standard first gen Vue. A wheel that fits a 2006 Vue also fits a 2006 Vue Red Line.
The second gen Vue (2008-2009) is the Theta platform rebadge sold alongside the Chevrolet Equinox and the Pontiac Torrent. Same 5x115 / 70.3mm hub as the first gen, so wheels carry over on hub spec. The second gen's catalog allows a wider tire and a larger diameter than the first gen, up to 22 inch versus the first gen's 20 inch ceiling. Production stopped after 2009 with the Saturn brand wind-down. The 2010 Vue replacement that was already in development was rebranded as the Chevrolet Captiva Sport for fleet markets.
Element Wheels Measured Aftermarket Fitment, Saturn Vue
Publishable factory and wheel specs across the Vue lineup we cover:
- 2002-2007 Vue (first gen): 5x115 bolt pattern, 70.3mm hub bore, M12x1.5 lug thread, 5 lug. Element aftermarket diameter range: 16-20 inch. Aftermarket width range: 7.0-9.0 inch. Same brake size front and rear across every trim.
- 2005-2007 Vue Red Line: Same 5x115 bolt pattern, 70.3mm hub bore, M12x1.5 lug thread, 5 lug as the standard first gen Vue. Element aftermarket diameter range: 16-20 inch. Aftermarket width range: 7.0-9.0 inch. Honda J35 3.5L V6 powertrain, suspension tuning, and factory wheel are the trim differences, not fitment geometry.
- 2008-2009 Vue (second gen, GM Theta platform): 5x115 bolt pattern, 70.3mm hub bore, M12x1.5 lug thread, 5 lug. Element aftermarket diameter range: 16-22 inch. Aftermarket width range: 7.0-9.5 inch. Wider catalog window than the first gen reflects the larger fender clearance on the Theta chassis.
For your exact aftermarket offset, three options:
- 1. Use our Year/Make/Model search to see wheels that fit your specific Vue (each listing shows its own offset).
- 2. Browse the Vue wheel gallery for real-life builds with size, offset, and tire spec captions.
- 3. Call or chat with our team for a free fitment consultation.
Every wheel we recommend is backed by our Fitment Guarantee. If a wheel does not fit, we pick up the wheels and refund 100 percent. No risk to you.
How We Confirm Fitment on Saturn Vue Wheels
Element Wheels measures fitment on the Vue directly, across the first gen (2002-2007), the Vue Red Line (2005-2007), and the second gen Theta platform Vue (2008-2009). For the Vue that means hub bore confirmation at 70.3mm, clearance from the wheel to the fender on a stock-height SUV, gap between the back of the wheel and the strut, brake caliper height at the per-generation spec, lug seat depth, and lug thread confirmation at M12x1.5. At our fitment facility in Chandler, Arizona, the Element Wheels team measures directly on the physical platforms we support. We don't pull specs from manufacturer sheets the way most retailers do. The Vue shares its hub family with the Equinox and the Torrent on the second gen and with the older Chevrolet Uplander on the first gen, so a wheel proven on one 5x115 / 70.3mm GM platform gives us a strong starting point on the Vue. We still verify each platform on its own.
Saturn Vue Wheels and Rims FAQ
What is the bolt pattern on a Saturn Vue?
Every Saturn Vue from 2002 through 2009 uses a 5x115 bolt pattern with a 70.3mm hub bore and an M12x1.5 lug thread on a 5-lug hub. The first gen (2002-2007), the Vue Red Line (2005-2007), and the second gen Theta platform Vue (2008-2009) all share the same hub geometry.
Do first gen and second gen Vue share the same wheel fitment?
The hub spec is the same: 5x115 bolt pattern, 70.3mm hub bore, M12x1.5 lug thread on both generations. The second gen Vue (2008-2009) moved to GM's Theta platform shared with the Chevrolet Equinox and the Pontiac Torrent, but kept the same hub geometry as the first gen. The aftermarket diameter window opens up wider on the second gen (up to 22 inch versus 20 inch on the first gen) because the Theta chassis has more fender room. The exact offset window per car is different between generations, so use the Year-Make-Model search on the listing to make sure a specific wheel fits your specific year.
Does the Vue Red Line take different wheels than a base Vue?
Same 5x115 bolt pattern, same 70.3mm hub bore, same M12x1.5 lug thread, same brake package as the standard first gen Vue of the same model year. The Vue Red Line uses the Honda-sourced J35 3.5L V6 and runs a different suspension tune and a more aggressive factory wheel, but the hub geometry stays the same. A wheel that fits a base 2006 Vue also fits a 2006 Vue Red Line.
Will Chevrolet Equinox wheels fit a Saturn Vue?
Yes, on hub, for the right Equinox generation. The 2005-2009 Chevrolet Equinox shares GM Theta with the second gen Vue and uses the same 5x115 / 70.3mm hub. The same applies to the 2006-2009 Pontiac Torrent. The 2010-2017 Equinox moved to a 5x120 hub and does not match the Vue. Match the Equinox year to the Vue's 5x115 era before assuming the wheel crosses over.
Is 5x115 the same as 5x114.3, and is it the same as 5x4.5?
No to both. 5x115 and 5x114.3 are different bolt patterns. They sit about 0.7mm apart on the hub circle, which is close enough that the wrong wheel might start onto the studs but will not seat correctly and is unsafe to drive. The 5x4.5 imperial nickname is the inch conversion of 5x114.3 only (114.3mm equals 4.5 inch). The Vue is 5x115, not 5x114.3 and not 5x4.5. Confirm any wheel listing says 5x115 before ordering.
What is the largest wheel I can fit on a Saturn Vue?
20 inch is the top of our measured aftermarket window on the first gen Vue (2002-2007) and the Vue Red Line. 22 inch is the top of our measured window on the second gen Theta platform Vue (2008-2009) because the larger Theta chassis has more fender clearance. The factory wheel range across the lineup ran 16 to 18 inch. 17 to 18 inch is the most common Vue aftermarket choice for everyday driving. 20 to 22 inch is the show-build choice. Above the top of our measured window the tire sidewall thins enough that ride quality and pothole protection drop sharply on this SUV chassis.
Is the Saturn Vue discontinued?
Yes. The Vue was discontinued after the 2009 model year along with the rest of the Saturn brand. Production ended in 2009 when GM wound the Saturn brand down. Our catalog continues to support every generation of the Vue indefinitely, including the 2002-2007 first gen, the 2005-2007 Vue Red Line, and the 2008-2009 second gen.
Do I need hub centric rings on a Saturn Vue?
Hub centric rings only when the aftermarket wheel has a centerbore larger than the Vue's 70.3mm factory hub bore. If your fitment needs rings, they'll be included with the order.
