Subaru Tribeca Aftermarket Wheel Fitment
The Subaru Tribeca is the 2006 to 2014 mid-size three row crossover that sat at the top of the Subaru SUV lineup in its era. It was sold as the B9 Tribeca through 2007 and rebranded as the Tribeca from 2008 onward, but the wheel hardware stayed the same across the full run. The Tribeca runs 5x114.3 with a 56.1mm hub bore, the larger five lug Subaru pattern shared with the WRX STI of the same era. M12x1.25 lug nuts on studs across all years. The Tribeca was Subaru's first 5x114.3 SUV in the US, launched in 2006, ahead of the lineup wide shift that brought the Outback, Legacy, Forester, and modern WRX onto the same pattern from 2015 onward. The Tribeca ships square (non-staggered) front to rear with matched brake size on both axles. There is one generation, one catalog row, and one fitment box.
Find Your Subaru Tribeca
The Subaru Tribeca ran for nine model years on a single platform with consistent wheel hardware throughout. One bolt pattern, one hub bore, one lug spec for the entire run. Pick the year range below to see wheels and rims that fit your Tribeca.
The Subaru Tribeca Bolt Pattern
Every Subaru Tribeca from 2006 through 2014 runs 5x114.3 (also expressed as 5x4.5 in imperial, where the 4.5 refers to the 114.3mm bolt circle diameter) with a 56.1mm hub bore. This is the larger Subaru bolt pattern, the same one used on the WRX STI 2008-2014 and the same one that became the lineup wide Subaru standard from 2015 onward (Outback, Legacy, Forester, modern WRX). Lug hardware is M12x1.25 nuts on studs across every Tribeca trim and year.
Important context: the Tribeca was Subaru's first 5x114.3 SUV in the US, launched in 2006. The 2004-2007 WRX STI (GD chassis) was already running 5x114.3 on the sedan side by the time the Tribeca arrived, but the rest of the Subaru lineup (Impreza, base WRX, Forester, Outback, Legacy) stayed on 5x100 until 2015. That makes a Tribeca incompatible by bolt pattern with most of the contemporary Subaru lineup. A wheel from a 2006-2014 Impreza, base WRX, Forester, or Outback (5x100) will NOT bolt to a Tribeca. A wheel from a 2004-2014 WRX STI (5x114.3) WILL match the Tribeca on bolt pattern and hub bore. Equally important: 5x114.3 is NOT the same as 5x115. The 5x114.3 (4.5 inch) imperial nickname is specific to 114.3mm. A wheel built for 5x115 (common on Chrysler 300, Dodge Charger, Dodge Challenger, and some other GM cars) will not bolt to a Tribeca. Compare across the rest of the Subaru lineup at our Subaru wheels and rims hub.
Subaru Tribeca Trims and Wheel Specs
The Subaru Tribeca was sold from 2006 through 2014 as a single platform mid-size three row crossover. The 2006-2007 model years were branded as B9 Tribeca. From 2008 onward the B9 prefix was dropped and the car was sold simply as Tribeca. Engine options were the 3.0 H6 boxer (2006-2007) and the 3.6 H6 boxer (2008-2014). Subaru Symmetrical all-wheel drive is standard across every Tribeca trim. The Tribeca is the largest Subaru ever produced for the US market.
All Tribeca trims share the same 5x114.3 bolt pattern, the same 56.1mm hub bore, and the same M12x1.25 lug nut hardware. Factory wheel diameter ran 18 inch across most trims, with 17 inch on early base trims. Every Tribeca ships square (non-staggered) front to rear with matched front and rear brake size across all trims. Our measured aftermarket diameter window runs 18 to 20 inch, with 8.0 to 8.5 inch width front and rear.

How We Confirm Fitment on Subaru Tribeca Wheels
Element Wheels measures fitment on the platforms we sell wheels for, including the Subaru Tribeca. For the Tribeca that means clearance from the wheel to the fender on both axles, gap between the back of the wheel and the all-wheel drive driveline components, brake caliper height on the front and rear (matched across every Tribeca trim), hub bore confirmation to the 56.1mm Subaru hub, lug seat depth on the M12x1.25 nuts, and tire clearance at full lock on the three row crossover body. At our fitment facility in Chandler, Arizona, the Element Wheels team measures directly on the physical platforms we support. We don't pull specs from manufacturer sheets the way most retailers do. The Tribeca is a tall, body-on-unibody three row crossover with a wide track, and most Tribeca buyers run 18 or 19 inch wheels to keep the Subaru Symmetrical all-wheel drive driveline happy with a matched tire size at every corner.
Subaru Tribeca Wheels and Rims FAQ
What is the bolt pattern on a Subaru Tribeca?
Every Subaru Tribeca from 2006 through 2014 runs 5x114.3 (also expressed as 5x4.5 in imperial, where the 4.5 refers to the 114.3mm bolt circle diameter). Lug hardware is M12x1.25 nuts on studs. This is the larger Subaru bolt pattern, the same one used on the WRX STI 2008-2014 and the lineup wide standard for Subaru from 2015 onward.
What is the hub bore on a Subaru Tribeca?
The Subaru Tribeca uses a 56.1mm hub bore, the standard Subaru hub bore shared across nearly the entire Subaru lineup. If your fitment needs rings, they'll be included with the order.
Will Subaru Outback or Forester wheels fit my Tribeca?
Only the 2015 and newer Subaru Outback, Legacy, Forester, and Ascent share the Tribeca's 5x114.3 / 56.1mm spec. The 2006-2014 Outback, Legacy, and Forester ran 5x100, a different bolt pattern entirely, and will NOT bolt to a Tribeca. The Tribeca was Subaru's first 5x114.3 SUV in the US, ahead of the lineup wide SUV shift in 2015. Use the Year/Make/Model search to confirm the wheel was fit-tested on the Tribeca specifically.
Will WRX STI wheels fit my Tribeca?
Bolt pattern, hub bore, and lug spec all match between the Subaru Tribeca and the WRX STI 2008-2014 (5x114.3, 56.1mm hub bore, M12x1.25 lug nuts). But the Tribeca is a tall three row crossover and the WRX STI is a compact performance sedan with a much narrower track and tighter fender geometry. Wheel offsets and widths that work on the STI will not necessarily work on the Tribeca. Use the Year/Make/Model search to confirm the wheel was fit-tested on the Tribeca specifically.
What is the largest wheel I can fit on a Subaru Tribeca?
Our measured Element aftermarket window tops at 20 inch on the Tribeca. 18 and 19 inch are the most common upgrade picks for the right balance of stance, ride, and tire selection on a three row family crossover. Going to 20 inch requires the right offset and a lower profile tire to keep the all-wheel drive driveline composed.
Are Subaru Tribeca wheels staggered?
No. Every Tribeca ships square from the factory with the same wheel and tire size on every corner. Subaru Symmetrical all-wheel drive on the Tribeca expects matched tire diameters at every corner to keep the driveline happy, and aftermarket builds on the Tribeca should also stay square for that reason.
What lug hardware does the Subaru Tribeca use?
The Tribeca uses lug nuts on studs, not lug bolts. Thread spec is M12x1.25 across every Tribeca trim and year, the same standard Subaru lug thread used on nearly the entire Subaru lineup. When mounting aftermarket wheels, confirm the seat type on the wheel matches the lug nut seat your Tribeca uses.
Do I need hub centric rings on a Subaru Tribeca?
Hub centric rings only when the aftermarket wheel centerbore is larger than your Tribeca hub. That is 56.1mm. If your fitment needs rings, they'll be included with the order.
