Tesla Model Y Aftermarket Wheel Fitment
The Tesla Model Y has been on one platform since launch (2020 and up), and the 2026 Juniper refresh kept the same wheel hardware. Every Model Y uses 5x114.3 (also called 5x4.5) with a 64.1mm hub bore at the wheel face and an M14x1.5 lug-stud thread pitch. Where the Model Y splits is at the trim and the factory wheel size. Long Range ships on the 19 inch Gemini or the 20 inch Induction. Performance ships on the 21 inch Uberturbine with a more aggressive offset and a larger brake package. The Model Y hub itself is a clean 64.1mm wheel-face bore on every trim we have measured at our Chandler, Arizona fitment facility. Pick your trim below and the fitment specs follow.
Find Your Tesla Model Y Trim
Pick your trim to see wheels and rims that fit your Model Y. Bolt pattern (5x114.3), hub bore (64.1mm), and lug-stud thread pitch (M14x1.5) are constant across the lineup. What changes is the OEM wheel size, the brake clearance, and the offset window. The Performance accepts more aggressive offsets and pairs with 21 inch options. The Long Range covers the 19 and 20 inch sweet spots most customers buy.
The Tesla Model Y Bolt Pattern
Every Tesla Model Y uses 5x114.3 (also called 5x4.5, since 114.3mm equals 4.5 inches) with a 64.1mm wheel-face hub bore and an M14x1.5 lug-stud thread pitch. That covers Long Range AWD, Performance AWD, and the 2026 Juniper refresh. 5x114.3 is the same bolt pattern the Model 3 uses, and a Model Y wheel will thread onto a Model 3 hub, but the offset and width windows are different because the Model Y is the taller SUV body. We measure each platform separately.
5x114.3 is also the dominant Japanese-spec bolt pattern, which means Honda Accord, Acura TLX, and Toyota Camry wheels carry the same lug spacing. Hub bores differ on those cars (most Japanese wheels are bored to 64.1mm or 66.1mm), so check the centerbore before assuming a cross-fit. 5x114.3 is NOT the same as 5x115. The 5x115 bolt pattern is a different spec entirely, and a 5x115 wheel will not bolt to a Model Y. Compare against the rest of the Tesla lineup at our Tesla wheels and rims hub.
Why the Model Y Trim Matters for Wheel Buying
The Model Y is one platform, but the OEM wheel sizes split it into three buying lanes. The 19 inch Gemini ships on the lower-trim Long Range and prioritizes range with a thicker sidewall and a slightly aero face. The 20 inch Induction ships on the upgraded Long Range and sits in the most popular aftermarket size for Model Y buyers. The 21 inch Uberturbine ships on the Performance trim, runs an aggressive face, and pairs with a tighter offset window to clear the larger brake package. The 2026 Juniper refresh kept the same trim split with updated OEM wheel designs. Aftermarket fitment follows the same logic: choose your visual goal (range and ride versus stance and presence) and the wheel size and offset fall out of that decision.
Drivetrain is not a fitment-box axis on the Model Y. Long Range RWD (on certain Juniper trims) and Long Range AWD share the same bolt pattern, hub, brake size on the matched trim, and aftermarket wheel window. The same is true on the Performance variants. Where the Model Y differs from the Model 3 Performance, the Model Y hub on every trim we have measured is a clean 64.1mm wheel-face bore. The Model 3 Performance stepped-hub consideration does not appear on the Model Y. A wheel with a 64.1mm centerbore seats hub-centric on every Model Y trim without a custom ring or sized bore.

For your exact aftermarket offset, three options:
- 1. Use our Year/Make/Model search to see wheels that fit your specific Model Y (each listing shows its own offset).
- 2. Browse the Model Y wheel gallery for real-life builds with size, offset, and tire spec captions.
- 3. Call or chat with our team for a free fitment consultation.
Every wheel we recommend is backed by our Fitment Guarantee. If a wheel does not fit, we pick up the wheels and refund 100 percent. No risk to you.
How We Confirm Fitment on Tesla Model Y Wheels
Element Wheels measures fitment on the Model Y directly, both Long Range and Performance, on the 2020-2025 cars and on the 2026 Juniper refresh. For the Model Y that means clearance from the wheel to the fender, gap between the back of the wheel and the suspension and aero panels, brake caliper height on the Performance, hub bore confirmation to the 64.1mm wheel-face bore, lug-stud thread pitch confirmation on the M14x1.5 hardware, and turning clearance at full lock with the tire installed. At our fitment facility in Chandler, Arizona, the Element Wheels team measures directly on the physical platforms we support. We don't pull specs from manufacturer sheets the way most retailers do.
That measurement work is what produced the trim-specific fitment windows on this page. It is also why we can confirm the Model Y hub is a clean 64.1mm wheel-face bore on every trim, distinct from the Model 3 Performance stepped hub (64.1mm inner / 70.1mm outer ring).
Tesla Model Y Wheels and Rims FAQ
What is the bolt pattern on a Tesla Model Y?
Every Tesla Model Y uses 5x114.3 (also called 5x4.5) with a 64.1mm wheel-face hub bore and an M14x1.5 lug-stud thread pitch. That covers Long Range AWD, Performance AWD, and the 2026 Juniper refresh. The pattern matches the Tesla Model 3, but offset and width windows differ between the two because the Model Y is the taller SUV body.
Long Range vs Performance: what changes for wheels?
Bolt pattern (5x114.3), hub bore (64.1mm), and thread pitch (M14x1.5) are identical. What differs is the OEM wheel size and the brake clearance. Long Range ships on the 19 inch Gemini or the 20 inch Induction. Performance ships on the 21 inch Uberturbine with a larger brake package. Aftermarket fitment windows are similar, but the Performance is happier with staggered 20 inch and 21 inch builds while the Long Range is most often square 19 inch or 20 inch.
Does the Model 3 Performance stepped hub apply to the Model Y?
No. The Tesla Model 3 Performance ships with a stepped hub (a 64.1mm inner hub face stepped out to a 70.1mm outer ring), but that is a Model 3 Performance chassis design and does not appear on the Model Y. The Model Y uses a clean 64.1mm wheel-face hub bore on every trim. A wheel with a 64.1mm centerbore seats hub-centric on a Model Y without a custom ring or sized bore. A wheel bored larger than 64.1mm needs a hub-centric ring to step down.
Are Tesla Model Y wheels staggered?
The Model Y ships square from the factory on every trim. Aftermarket staggered builds are common on the Performance, where 20x9 front and 20x10 to 20x10.75 rear (or a 21 inch staggered combination) gives the deeper-face look without poking past the fender. The Long Range stays square most often. Tesla owners who stagger the Model Y do it for the look, not for the drive.
What is the largest wheel I can fit on a Tesla Model Y?
Our measured Model Y window runs up to 22 inch diameter with up to 10.75 inch rear width. Above 21 inch, low-profile tire sidewall starts costing range and ride quality noticeably on an EV that weighs over 4,400 pounds. Most customers stop at 21 inch on the Performance trim and 20 inch on the Long Range. If you want 22 inch, plan on the tire and ride trade off and confirm offset to clear the fender on an aggressive face wheel.
Will Tesla Model 3 wheels fit a Model Y?
Bolt pattern (5x114.3) and hub bore (64.1mm) match between the Model 3 and the Model Y, so a Model 3 wheel will physically thread onto a Model Y hub. But the Model 3 is a low-slung sedan and the Model Y is the taller SUV body with a wider track. A Model 3-spec width and offset will often sit too narrow inside the Model Y fender. Same pattern is not the same fitment. Use the Year/Make/Model search to confirm the wheel was fit-tested on the Model Y specifically.
Do I need hub centric rings on a Tesla Model Y?
Hub centric rings only when the aftermarket wheel has a centerbore larger than 64.1mm. If your fitment needs rings, they'll be included with the order.
How do I find the right wheels for my specific Tesla Model Y?
Pick your trim above (Long Range or Performance, 2020-2025 or 2026 Juniper). Each trim page covers the years we have measured with bolt pattern, hub bore, and fitment specifics. Use the Year/Make/Model search to see wheels that fit your specific car and browse the Model Y wheel gallery for real-life builds. For aggressive 21 inch or 22 inch staggered builds, contact our team for a free fitment consultation before ordering. If you are not sure whether you have Long Range or Performance, our team can identify your exact configuration from your VIN.
