Toyota Avalon Aftermarket Wheel Fitment

The Toyota Avalon was Toyota's flagship full-size sedan in the North American market for nearly three decades. Production ran from the 1st generation XX10 (1995-1999) through the 5th generation XX50 (2019-2022). Toyota ended Avalon production in the US after the 2022 model year, so this is a closed historical range. Every Avalon generation, from the original XX10 through the final XX50, runs a 5x114.3 bolt pattern with a 60.1mm hub bore. The aftermarket diameter window opens up over the platform's lifetime, from a 15-20 inch range on the 1st gen to a 17-20 inch range on the modern XX40 and XX50. Element Wheels measures fitment on all five Avalon generations and tracks the early-2000s facelift split inside the XX30. Find your year range below and the wheel and rim recommendations follow.

Find Your Toyota Avalon Generation

Pick your year range to see wheels and rims that fit your specific Avalon. Bolt pattern is 5x114.3 with a 60.1mm hub bore on every Avalon from the XX10 to the final XX50. What changes by generation is the diameter window, the width window, and the offset window.

The Toyota Avalon Bolt Pattern

Every Toyota Avalon ever built for the North American market runs a 5x114.3 bolt pattern with a 60.1mm hub bore. That covers the 1st gen XX10 (1995-1999), the 2nd gen XX20 (2000-2004), the 3rd gen XX30 (2005-2012), the 4th gen XX40 (2013-2018), and the 5th gen XX50 (2019-2022). Lug count is five, thread pitch is M12x1.5. The pattern is also written as 5x4.5 in imperial; 5x4.5 refers ONLY to 5x114.3 (114.3mm = 4.5 inches). It does NOT refer to 5x115, which is the bolt pattern used on the Chrysler 300, Dodge Charger LX, and similar American sedans. The two patterns sit about 0.7mm apart and are not interchangeable. A 5x115 wheel will not bolt onto an Avalon.

The 5x114.3 / 60.1mm spec is the Toyota family hub. It is the same bolt pattern and hub bore Toyota uses on the Camry, Highlander, RAV4, and Sienna. Wheels listed for any 5x114.3 / 60.1mm Toyota physically bolt to the Avalon on hub geometry. What changes between platforms is the offset window, the brake clearance, and the fender room, so a wheel built for a Camry will not always sit correctly on an Avalon even though the bolt math matches. We measure each platform separately. Compare across the rest of the Toyota lineup at our Toyota wheels and rims hub.

Avalon Generation Differences That Matter for Wheel Fitment

The bolt pattern is constant, but the fitment window grows across the platform's lifetime. The 1st gen XX10 (1995-1999) ran from 15 to 20 inch diameters with a 5.5-8.5 inch width window. The 4th gen XX40 (2013-2018) and 5th gen XX50 (2019-2022) opened the window to 17-20 inch diameters at 7.5-9 inch widths to match the more aggressive factory wheels Toyota fitted on the modern Avalon Touring and Limited trims. The Avalon Hybrid (offered on the XX40 and XX50) shares the same bolt pattern, hub bore, brake package, and fitment window as the gasoline Avalon of the same generation and trim. The hybrid powertrain does not change wheel fitment. A wheel that fits a gasoline XX50 Limited fits a hybrid XX50 Limited.

The Avalon TRD, offered on the XX50 from 2020 through 2022, runs a sport package with a lower stance and a 19 inch factory wheel. Bolt pattern and hub bore are identical to the rest of the XX50 range, but the TRD's lowered ride height and sport-tuned suspension narrow the fender clearance window slightly. We measure the TRD separately when the fender clearance window narrows.

  • 4th Gen XX40 Avalon (2013-2018): 5x114.3 bolt pattern, 60.1mm hub bore. Element aftermarket diameter range: 18-20 inch. Aftermarket width: 7.5-9 inch square. Hybrid trim shares fitment.
  • 5th Gen XX50 Avalon (2019-2022, final generation): 5x114.3 bolt pattern, 60.1mm hub bore. Element aftermarket diameter range: 17-20 inch. Aftermarket width: 7.5-9 inch square. Hybrid and TRD trims share spec; TRD has tighter fender clearance.

For your exact aftermarket offset, three options:

  • 1. Use our Year/Make/Model search to see wheels that fit your specific Avalon (each listing shows its own offset).
  • 2. Browse the Avalon wheel gallery for real-life builds with size, offset, and tire spec captions.
  • 3. Call or chat with our team for a free fitment consultation.

Every wheel we recommend is backed by our Fitment Guarantee. If a wheel does not fit, we pick up the wheels and refund 100 percent. No risk to you.

How We Confirm Fitment on Toyota Avalon Wheels

Element Wheels measures fitment on the Avalon directly, across every generation back to the XX10. For the Avalon that means clearance from the wheel to the fender, gap between the back of the wheel and the suspension, brake caliper height, hub bore confirmation to the 60.1mm Toyota family hub, lug seat geometry, and turning clearance at full lock. At our fitment facility in Chandler, Arizona, the Element Wheels team measures directly on the physical platforms we support. We don't pull specs from manufacturer sheets the way most retailers do.

Toyota Avalon Wheels and Rims FAQ

What is the bolt pattern on a Toyota Avalon?

5x114.3 with a 60.1mm hub bore on every Toyota Avalon from the 1st gen XX10 (1995-1999) through the final 5th gen XX50 (2019-2022). Lug count is five, thread pitch is M12x1.5. The bolt pattern has not changed across any of the five Avalon generations. The pattern is also written as 5x4.5 in imperial.

Is the Toyota Avalon still in production?

No. Toyota ended Avalon production for the North American market after the 2022 model year. The XX50 (2019-2022) was the final Avalon generation. The Toyota Crown took the flagship sedan slot in the US lineup starting with the 2023 model year. Element Wheels fitment data covers all five Avalon generations and remains available even though the platform is discontinued.

Will Avalon wheels fit a Camry or another Toyota?

Bolt pattern crosses; fitment does not always cross. The Avalon, Camry, Highlander, RAV4, and Sienna all share 5x114.3 with a 60.1mm hub bore, so the wheels physically bolt up. But fender clearance, brake clearance, and the factory tire diameter are different on each platform. A wheel that sits nicely on a Camry will often tuck differently on an Avalon. Match the wheel listing to your specific Toyota model and year. We measure each platform separately.

Does the Avalon Hybrid use different wheels than the gasoline Avalon?

No. The Avalon Hybrid (offered on the XX40 and XX50) shares the same 5x114.3 bolt pattern, 60.1mm hub bore, brake package, and fitment window as the gasoline Avalon of the same generation and trim. The hybrid powertrain does not change wheel fitment. A wheel that fits a gasoline XX50 Limited fits a hybrid XX50 Limited.

Avalon TRD: does it run different wheels than a base Avalon?

The Avalon TRD (2020-2022, XX50 only) runs the same bolt pattern (5x114.3) and hub bore (60.1mm) as the rest of the XX50 range, but the sport package includes a lower stance, sport-tuned suspension, and a 19 inch factory wheel. Fender clearance is tighter on the TRD than on the Limited or Touring at the same year. The bolt-on fitment math is the same; the offset window is narrower at the lowered ride height.

Are Toyota Avalon wheels staggered?

No. Every Avalon generation from the XX10 through the XX50 runs square (same width front and rear) from the factory. The Avalon is a front-wheel-drive sedan across every generation, so the front axle carries the power and a square setup keeps tire rotation simple.

What is the largest wheel I can fit on a Toyota Avalon?

Our measured aftermarket window tops at 20 inch across every Avalon generation. Most aftermarket Avalon upgrades land at 18, 19, or 20 inch and pick width and offset for the look. Above 20 inch, tire sidewall thins enough that ride quality drops sharply on a full-size sedan, and fender clearance margin under suspension travel disappears.

Do I need hub centric rings on a Toyota Avalon?

Hub centric rings only when the aftermarket wheel has a centerbore larger than 60.1mm. If your fitment needs rings, they'll be included with the order.
