Toyota Sequoia Aftermarket Wheel Fitment
The Toyota Sequoia is Toyota's full-size three-row body-on-frame SUV. It is built on the same truck chassis as the Toyota Tundra, which makes it one of the more interesting fitment platforms in our catalog because the bolt pattern has changed twice across three generations, in lockstep with the Tundra. The 1st gen (2001-2007) ran 6x139.7 with a 106.1mm hub bore. The 2nd gen XK60 (2008-2022) moved to a Toyota-specific 5x150 pattern with a 110.5mm hub bore, shared with the same-era Tundra and Land Cruiser. The 3rd gen XK80 (2023 and up) went back to 6x139.7 with a 95mm hub bore. Lug count alone does not tell you the year. You also need to know which 6-lug generation you are on, because the 1st gen and 3rd gen six-lug SUVs share the bolt pattern but differ on hub bore. Element Wheels tracks Sequoia fitment by generation, separates stock height from lifted, and breaks the 3rd gen out into Non-TRD Pro and TRD Pro. Find your generation below.
Find Your Toyota Sequoia Generation
Pick your year range to see wheels and rims that fit your specific Sequoia. Bolt pattern changes at two transitions: 2008 (6x139.7 to 5x150) and 2023 (5x150 back to 6x139.7). Every generation has separate stock height and lifted fitments in our catalog. The 3rd gen also separates TRD Pro from Non-TRD Pro.
The Toyota Sequoia Bolt Pattern
The Sequoia has used three different combinations of bolt pattern and hub bore across its three generations, the same way the Tundra has. The 1st gen (2001-2007) ran 6x139.7 (also called 6x5.5) with a 106.1mm hub bore. The 2nd gen XK60 (2008-2022) used a Toyota-specific 5x150 pattern with a 110.5mm hub bore. The 3rd gen XK80 (2023 and up) returned to 6x139.7 but with a smaller 95mm hub bore. Three Sequoia generations, three different hub specs.
Lug count alone does not tell you the year on this SUV. 5 studs means a 2008-2022 Sequoia and 5x150. 6 studs means either a 1st gen (2001-2007) or a 3rd gen (2023 and up), and the hub bore on those two is different (106.1mm versus 95mm), so wheels do not cross between them even though the bolt pattern matches. Confirm your year before ordering. The Sequoia and Tundra share the same truck chassis, so the bolt pattern progression on the Sequoia tracks the Tundra exactly: 6x139.7 to 5x150 in 2008, then back to 6x139.7 in the new generation. Compare across the rest of the Toyota lineup at our Toyota wheels and rims hub.
Why Sequoia Stock vs Lifted Fitment Matters
The Sequoia is a full-size body-on-frame SUV that takes lifts and aggressive tire packages well, especially the TRD Pro trim. Stock-height owners run 18 to 24 inch wheels for street and family-hauler builds. Lifted 3rd gen Sequoia TRD Pro builds running 34 to 35 inch tires get their own measurements in our catalog, including a 3 to 5 inch lift with 35 inch tires that requires a cab mount chop to clear the larger tire at full lock. The wheel that fits a stock-height Sequoia can rub the inner fender or hit a control arm once the SUV is lifted, and the lifted-fitment offsets often poke past the fender on a stock-height truck.
The 3rd gen Sequoia is tracked as Non-TRD Pro and TRD Pro separately, because the TRD Pro suspension package changes ride height and tire clearance enough to shift the fitment window. Both trims are documented separately in our catalog. The 2nd gen XK60 Sequoia (2008-2022) shares the same 5x150 bolt pattern, the same truck chassis, and a near-identical offset window with the same-era 2007-2021 Tundra because the two SUVs are built on the same platform.

How We Confirm Fitment on Toyota Sequoia Wheels
Element Wheels measures fitment on the platforms we sell wheels for, including every Sequoia generation back to 2001. For the Sequoia that means clearance from the wheel to the fender, gap between the back of the wheel and the suspension, brake caliper height, hub protrusion, lug seat depth, turning clearance at full lock with the larger tire sizes, and cab-mount-chop clearance on the 3rd gen TRD Pro lifted builds running 35 inch tires. At our fitment facility in Chandler, Arizona, the Element Wheels team measures directly on the physical platforms we support. We don't pull specs from manufacturer sheets the way most retailers do.
Every wheel we recommend is backed by our Fitment Guarantee. If a wheel does not fit, we pick up the wheels and refund 100 percent. No risk to you.
Toyota Sequoia Wheels and Rims FAQ
What is the bolt pattern on a Toyota Sequoia?
It depends on the generation. The 2001-2007 1st gen ran 6x139.7 with a 106.1mm hub bore. The 2008-2022 2nd gen XK60 ran a Toyota-specific 5x150 pattern with a 110.5mm hub bore. The 2023 and up 3rd gen XK80 returned to 6x139.7 but with a smaller 95mm hub bore. Lug count narrows it: 5 studs means 2008-2022. 6 studs means either 2001-2007 or 2023 and newer, and the hub bore on those two is different, so confirm your year before ordering.
Do Toyota Tundra wheels fit a Sequoia?
Within the same generation, yes. The Sequoia and Tundra share the same truck chassis, the same bolt pattern, and very similar hub bore in each corresponding year range. The 2008-2022 Sequoia (5x150, 110.5mm) crosses with the 2007-2021 Tundra (5x150, 110mm). The 2023 and up Sequoia (6x139.7, 95mm) crosses with the 2022 and up Tundra (6x139.7, 95mm). The 2001-2007 1st gen Sequoia (6x139.7, 106.1mm) matches the 2000-2006 1st gen Tundra (6x139.7, 106mm) closely enough that wheels generally cross. Note the generation years are offset by one model year between the two SUVs because Toyota redesigned the Tundra and Sequoia in adjacent years rather than simultaneously. What does NOT cross is wheels between different generations: a 2nd gen Tundra wheel will not fit a 3rd gen Sequoia because bolt pattern, lug count, and hub bore are all different.
Will my older Sequoia wheels fit a newer Sequoia?
Generally no. Toyota changed the Sequoia bolt pattern at the 2008 redesign (from 6x139.7 to 5x150) and changed it again at the 2023 redesign (back to 6x139.7, but with a smaller 95mm hub bore instead of the 1st gen's 106.1mm). The 1st gen and 3rd gen share lug count and bolt pattern but not hub bore, so even those two do not interchange cleanly. Match your generation when ordering.
What is the largest wheel I can fit on a Toyota Sequoia?
Our measured Element aftermarket window tops at 24 inch on stock-height 2nd and 3rd gen Sequoias. 20 to 22 inch is the most common street setup. 18 inch is the standard pick for off-road builds running 33 to 35 inch tires. Above 24 inch on a stock-height Sequoia the inner fender and brake clearance start dictating offset, and we recommend a free fitment consultation before ordering.
Are Toyota Sequoia wheels staggered?
No. The Sequoia runs a square (non-staggered) fitment from the factory and almost every aftermarket build also runs square. The four wheel drive system, the load distribution, and tire rotation on a full-size SUV all benefit from the same wheel and tire size on every corner.
What is the 5x150 bolt pattern and does anything else use it?
5x150 is a Toyota-specific pattern used on the 2008-2022 Sequoia XK60, the 2007-2021 Tundra, and the older Land Cruiser. It is not used by any domestic half-ton SUV or truck. If you are shopping for a 2nd gen Sequoia, confirm the wheel listing specifies 5x150. A wheel built for a 6-lug SUV of the same era will not bolt to this Sequoia, and that mistake is the most common 2nd gen Sequoia fitment error we see.
Why do some 3rd gen Sequoia TRD Pro lifted builds need a cab mount chop?
On the 2023 and newer 3rd gen Sequoia TRD Pro, running a 3 to 5 inch lift with 35 inch tires means the tire makes contact with the cab mount under suspension travel at full lock. The standard fix is a cab mount chop, which trims the protruding cab mount metal so the tire clears. We flag this in the catalog notes before shipping so the metalwork can be planned, not discovered on installation day. The 2 to 3 inch lift with 34 inch tires does not require the chop.
Do I need hub centric rings on a Toyota Sequoia?
Hub centric rings only when the aftermarket wheel has a centerbore larger than the Sequoia's factory hub. The 1st gen hub is 106.1mm. The 2nd gen XK60 is 110.5mm. The 3rd gen XK80 is 95mm. If your fitment needs rings, they'll be included with the order.
