Volkswagen CC Aftermarket Wheel Fitment

The Volkswagen CC is the four-door coupe VW built from the 2009 through the 2017 model year, originally marketed as the Passat CC at launch (2009-2011) and renamed simply CC from 2012 onward. The platform is the same B6/B7 Passat architecture underneath, with a lower roofline, frameless doors, and tighter rear seating that made it VW's design-forward sedan during its run. Element Wheels measures the CC as a single closed-range generation. Every CC uses 5x112 with a 57.1mm hub bore and M14x1.5 lug bolts. The bolt pattern is shared with the rest of the modern VW passenger lineup (Jetta, Golf, GTI, Passat, Tiguan, Atlas on the same hub bore) and the smaller Audi cars (A3). The CC was discontinued after the 2017 model year and replaced in the lineup by the Arteon. Pick the CC tile below to see the wheels and rims that fit your specific car.

Find Your Volkswagen CC Generation

The CC ran a single generation in North America (2009-2017). Pick the tile below to see wheels and rims that fit. Bolt pattern is 5x112 with a 57.1mm hub bore and M14x1.5 lug bolts. The CC shared the Passat B6 chassis at launch and moved to the B7-revision underpinnings during the facelift in the middle of its production run, with no change to the wheel-mounting hardware. R-Line trim and the rare 4Motion Executive trim do not change the bolt pattern or hub spec.

The Volkswagen CC Bolt Pattern

Every CC uses 5x112 with a 57.1mm hub bore and M14x1.5 lug bolts. The spec stayed constant across the 2009 through 2017 production run, including both the pre-facelift Passat CC (2009-2011) and the post-facelift CC (2012-2017). VW runs lug bolts on the CC, not lug studs and nuts the way most American and Asian sedans do. The lug bolt threads directly into the hub, the wheel sits between the head of the bolt and the hub face, and there is no fixed lug stud to align the wheel before tightening. This makes a hub-centric fit more important on the CC than on a stud-and-nut sedan. The 57.1mm hub bore is the smaller VW Group passenger-car spec.

The 5x112 / 57.1mm spec on the CC matches the rest of the modern Volkswagen passenger lineup (Jetta Mk5 and up, Golf Mk5 and up, GTI, Tiguan, Atlas, every modern Passat from the B5 through the B8) and the smaller Audi cars (A3). The CC was effectively a Passat with a coupe roofline, so wheels that fit a same-era Passat usually transfer cleanly to the CC, with the fender opening on the CC tuned slightly tighter because of the lower body. The 5x112 pattern is also shared more broadly with the full-size MLB Evo luxury SUVs (Audi Q7 4M, Q8, Porsche Cayenne 3rd gen, VW Touareg 3rd gen, Bentley Bentayga, Lamborghini Urus) but those vehicles run a larger 66.56mm or 71.5mm hub bore that is too big to sit hub-centric on the CC without rings, and the offsets are sized for SUV fenders. Compare against the rest of the Volkswagen lineup at our Volkswagen wheels and rims hub.

Why Body Style and Trim Determine CC Fit

The CC is the only modern VW that sold as a four-door coupe with frameless doors and a lowered roofline on the Passat platform. The lower body and the more aggressive fender opening sit the wheel face closer to the fender lip than a same-era Passat sedan, which affects how much offset window we can publish without poking past the fender. The bolt pattern, hub bore, and lug bolt are constant across the production run. Engine options ranged from the 2.0T four-cylinder up to the 3.6L VR6, and a small number of US-market CCs left the factory with 4Motion all wheel drive (the 4Motion Executive trim). Both FWD and 4Motion CCs run the same wheel hub spec and accept the same aftermarket wheel sizes.

Trim level (Sport, Luxury, R-Line, Executive) does not change the wheel bolt pattern or hub bore. The R-Line is a styling and appearance package on the same chassis as the matching Sport or Luxury trim. Drivetrain on the vast majority of CCs sold in North America is front wheel drive. The optional 4Motion all wheel drive does not change the wheel hub spec. Square (non-staggered) is the factory and recommended configuration on every CC.

Element Wheels Measured Aftermarket Fitment, Volkswagen CC

Publishable factory and wheel specs for the CC:

  • Volkswagen CC (2009-2017): 5x112 bolt pattern, 57.1mm hub bore, M14x1.5 lug bolts. Element aftermarket diameter range: 17 to 20 inch. Aftermarket width range: 7.5 to 9 inch. Square fitment. Covers both the pre-facelift Passat CC (2009-2011) and the post-facelift CC (2012-2017).

Offset windows are controlled by the CC fender opening and brake clearance. For your exact aftermarket offset, three options:

  • 1. Use our Year/Make/Model search to see wheels that fit your specific CC (each listing shows its own offset).
  • 2. Browse the CC wheel gallery for real-life builds with size, offset, and tire spec captions.
  • 3. Call or chat with our team for a free fitment consultation.

Every wheel we recommend is backed by our Fitment Guarantee. If a wheel does not fit, we pick up the wheels and refund 100 percent. No risk to you.

How We Confirm Fitment on Volkswagen CC Wheels

Element Wheels measures fitment on the platforms we sell wheels for, including the Volkswagen CC. For the CC that means clearance from the wheel to the fender, gap between the back of the wheel and the suspension, brake caliper height across the 2.0T and 3.6L VR6 brake packages, hub bore confirmation at 57.1mm, and lug bolt seat depth for M14x1.5 bolts. The CC is measured as its own catalog row even though it shares architecture with the B6 and B7 Passat, because the lower body and tighter fender opening on the four-door coupe change the offset window enough to matter. At our fitment facility in Chandler, Arizona, the Element Wheels team measures directly on the physical platforms we support. We don't pull specs from manufacturer sheets the way most retailers do.

Volkswagen CC Wheels and Rims FAQ

What is the bolt pattern on a Volkswagen CC?

Every CC uses 5x112 with M14x1.5 lug bolts. The spec stayed constant across the 2009 through 2017 production run, including both the pre-facelift Passat CC (2009-2011) and the post-facelift CC (2012-2017). The same 5x112 pattern is shared with the rest of the modern VW passenger lineup (Jetta Mk5 and up, Golf Mk5 and up, every modern Passat from the B5 through the B8) and the smaller Audi cars (A3).

What is the centerbore on a Volkswagen CC?

57.1mm across every CC. A wheel bored to 57.1mm sits hub-centric on the CC. The 57.1mm hub is the smaller VW Group passenger-car spec, the same hub bore used on the Jetta, Golf, GTI, Tiguan, Atlas, and every modern Passat. It is NOT the larger 66.56mm hub used on the C-chassis Audi sedans (A6 and A7 from the C7 forward) and it is NOT the 71.5mm hub used on the older Touareg / Cayenne / Q7 4L SUVs.

Will Passat wheels fit a CC?

Yes the bolt pattern crosses. The CC is built on the same B6 and B7 Passat platform and shares 5x112 with a 57.1mm hub bore. A wheel that fits a same-era Passat will bolt to a CC. The fender opening on the CC sits slightly tighter than the Passat sedan because of the lower body, so the exact offset window can shift even though the bolt-up matches. We measure the CC as its own catalog row to capture the body-specific clearance.

Will Jetta or Golf wheels fit a CC?

Bolt pattern crosses on the Mk5 and newer Jetta / Golf (5x112 / 57.1mm CB), the same spec as the CC. The wheels bolt to the same hub. The CC is a longer, wider four-door coupe than a Jetta or a Golf, so the offset window the CC fender accepts is different from what a Jetta or Golf accepts. A Jetta wheel of the right diameter range will bolt to the CC hub but may sit too deep, and the CC's larger fender opening can leave a Jetta-sized wheel looking small. We measure each platform separately.

What is the largest wheel I can fit on a CC?

20 inch is the top of our measured window on the CC. 18 to 19 inch is the most common CC aftermarket choice because the lower roofline and tighter fender opening make a 20 inch wheel sit very close to the fender lip without leaving much room for sidewall. Above 20 inch, the tire becomes hard to source and ride quality drops sharply as the sidewall thins.

Is the CC still being made?

No. The CC was discontinued after the 2017 model year and replaced in the VW lineup by the Arteon. Wheels for the CC remain available and we support fitment on the platform. If you have a CC and want to keep the car running into the 2030s, the aftermarket wheel choices below all support long-term ownership.

Do I need hub centric rings on a Volkswagen CC?

Hub centric rings only when the aftermarket wheel has a centerbore larger than 57.1mm. If your fitment needs rings, they'll be included with the order.

How do I find the right wheels for my specific CC?

Bolt pattern is 5x112 on every CC with a 57.1mm hub bore and M14x1.5 lug bolts. Use our Year/Make/Model search to see wheels that fit your specific CC and browse the wheel gallery for real-life builds. The tighter fender opening on the CC compared to the Passat sedan is the one wrinkle to watch on aftermarket offset. Every wheel we recommend is backed by the Fitment Guarantee.
