Porsche is one of the highest value enthusiast platforms in our customer base, anchored by the 911 Carrera, Cayenne, Macan, and Panamera. The 911 Turbo, 911 GT3, GT3 RS, and the Cayenne Turbo carry the enthusiast aftermarket volume. The Macan is the highest volume crossover. The Taycan is the EV flagship. Porsche fitment splits across two bolt patterns and one centerlock option. The 911 Carrera (every generation since the air-cooled 993), Boxster, Cayman, Cayenne, Panamera, and Taycan all use 5x130. The Macan is the exception. It is built on the Audi MLB platform and uses 5x112, the Audi bolt pattern. The 911 Turbo S, GT3, GT3 RS, and GT4 RS run a centerlock hub instead of a bolt pattern. Every Porsche except the base Macan and base Cayenne ships factory staggered with wider rear wheels. The PCCB (Porsche Ceramic Composite Brake) option on Turbo and GT trims demands additional clearance. The Porsche Bolt Pattern Landscape

Porsche runs 5x130 across nearly the entire lineup, with the ICE Macan (2015-2024) as the 5x112 outlier and centerlock as an option on the 911 Turbo and GT trims. The Macan EV (2025+) returned to 5x130 on the new PPE platform.

The Macan is the major Porsche outlier because of the Audi platform share. A wheel that fits a Cayenne will not fit a Macan even though both are Porsche SUVs. The centerlock performance trims need their own dedicated wheel selection because the mounting hardware is different from the 5 lug cars.

Porsche 5x130, Centerlock, and the Macan 5x112 Outlier

The 911 is the most active Porsche aftermarket platform and the most complex from a brake clearance standpoint. The base 911 Carrera runs the standard 4 piston brake setup. The 911 S adds slightly larger brakes. The 911 Turbo adds 6 piston front brakes. The 911 GT3 adds even larger brakes with the optional PCCB carbon ceramic upgrade. Each step up the lineup narrows the wheel clearance window. A wheel that fits a base 911 Carrera will not always clear a 911 Turbo or GT3 brake caliper.

The centerlock trims are their own conversation. The 911 Turbo S (since 2010), 911 GT3, GT3 RS, and GT4 RS all run a single centerlock hub instead of a 5 lug bolt pattern. The centerlock wheel is locked with a single large center nut and torqued to spec. Aftermarket centerlock wheel selection is limited compared to bolt pattern wheels because the engineering and homologation required is significantly more involved.

The Macan sits on the Audi MLB platform and uses 5x112 instead of the Porsche 5x130. The Macan Turbo and GTS run larger brakes than the base Macan, which narrows the wheel clearance window. The Macan EV (2025 and newer) is built on the new Premium Platform Electric (PPE) and shares the platform with the Audi Q6 e-tron. The Macan EV uses 5x130, not the 5x112 of the ICE Macan.

How We Confirm Fitment

Element Wheels measures fitment on Porsche models we sell wheels for. For each chassis and brake combination we measure clearance from the wheel to the fender, gap between the back of the wheel and any suspension components, brake caliper height, hub protrusion, lug height, and how much room the front wheel has when turning lock to lock. We do this on the car, not from a spec sheet.

That measurement work covers the most active Porsche platforms across the catalog. The 911 Turbo, Turbo S, GT3, GT3 RS, and GT4 RS are each tracked separately because of the larger brake setup and the centerlock mounting hardware on the GT and Turbo S trims. The Macan is tracked on the Audi 5x112 platform separate from the rest of the Porsche lineup. The Cayenne Turbo, Panamera Turbo, and Taycan Turbo S are tracked separately because of the larger brakes. PCCB option clearance is tracked separately from the standard brake option.
