Saab Aftermarket Wheel Fitment

Saab was a Swedish premium platform sold in the US through 2011 before the brand was discontinued after the bankruptcy of Saab Automobile AB. The 9-3 sedan and 9-5 sedan are the most active Saab aftermarket platforms in our customer base. The 9-2X was a rebadged Subaru Impreza WRX sold from 2005-2006. The 9-7X was a rebadged Chevrolet Trailblazer SUV sold from 2005-2009. Saab fitment splits across several patterns because of the platform sharing with Pontiac, Chevrolet, and Subaru. The 9-3 and 9-5 use 5x110, shared with the Pontiac G6 and Chevrolet Malibu of the same era. The 9-5 second generation (2010-2011) moved to 5x120 shared with the Buick LaCrosse. The 9-2X uses 5x100 because it is a Subaru Impreza WRX underneath. The 9-7X uses 6x127 because it is a Chevrolet Trailblazer underneath. The Saab Bolt Pattern Landscape

Saab runs four bolt patterns across the four-model lineup because the brand spanned platform sharing with Pontiac, Chevrolet, Subaru, and Buick.

The 9-2X and 9-7X share their bolt patterns with their Subaru and Chevrolet donor models rather than the Saab sedan lineup. The second generation 9-5 sits on its own pattern.

How We Confirm Fitment

Element Wheels measures fitment on Saab models we sell wheels for. For each chassis and brake combination we measure clearance from the wheel to the fender, gap between the back of the wheel and any suspension components, brake caliper height, hub protrusion, lug height, and how much room the front wheel has when turning lock to lock. We do this on the car, not from a spec sheet.

That measurement work covers the most active Saab platforms across the catalog. The 9-3 is tracked on the 5x110 platform. The 9-5 first generation is tracked separately because of the slightly different offset windows from the 9-3. The 9-5 second generation is tracked on the 5x120 platform. The 9-2X is tracked on the Subaru Impreza WRX 5x100 platform. The 9-7X is tracked on the Chevrolet Trailblazer 6x127 platform.
