Lexus ES Aftermarket Wheel Fitment
The Lexus ES is Lexus's mid-size luxury sedan and one of the longest-running platforms in our catalog, going back to the original 1992 ES 300. Element Wheels measures fitment across six generations: the XV10 ES 300 (1992-1996), the XV20 ES 300 (1997-2001), the XV30 ES 300 and ES 330 (2002-2006), the XV40 ES 350 (2007-2012), the XV50 ES 300 and ES 350 (2013-2018), and the current XV70 ES 250, ES 300h, and ES 350 including the ES 350 F SPORT trim option (2019 and up). Bolt pattern is constant across the entire 30-plus-year platform run. Every Lexus ES uses 5x114.3 with a 60.1mm hub bore, with M12x1.5 lug spec. Two things are important to know about the ES at the platform level. The ES is Toyota Camry-derived, which makes it a front-wheel-drive luxury sedan and a different platform family from the rear-drive Lexus IS and GS even though all three carry the same 5x114.3 bolt pattern. And the ES has run matched front-and-rear brake hardware across every generation, including the F SPORT trim option, because the ES is positioned as comfort-and-luxury rather than performance. That keeps the aftermarket fitment window simpler than on the IS, with no front-brake-larger-than-rear constraint to work around and no staggered setups because the FWD drivetrain wants matched front-rear circumference. Pick your generation below for the fitment specs that apply to your specific ES.
Find Your Lexus ES Generation
Pick your generation to see wheels and rims that fit your specific ES. Bolt pattern is constant at 5x114.3 / 60.1mm across every Lexus ES. What changes between generations is the aftermarket diameter range (the older cars accept a 15 or 16 inch wheel; the newer cars start at 17 inch as the factory minimum stepped up over time) and the factory wheel width.
The Lexus ES Bolt Pattern
Every Lexus ES uses 5x114.3 with a 60.1mm hub bore. The pattern has held across the XV10 ES 300 (1992-1996), the XV20 ES 300 (1997-2001), the XV30 ES 300 and ES 330 (2002-2006), the XV40 ES 350 (2007-2012), the XV50 ES 300 and ES 350 (2013-2018), and the current XV70 ES 250, ES 300h, and ES 350 (2019 and up), including the F SPORT trim option on the XV70 ES 350. The 5x114.3 pattern is also written as 5x4.5 in imperial; the imperial nickname refers ONLY to 5x114.3 (114.3mm equals 4.5 inches), not to 5x115. A wheel listed for 5x115 (Chrysler 300, Dodge Charger LX, current Mustang on some trims) will NOT bolt onto a Lexus ES, even though the difference reads as less than a millimeter on paper. The hub bore stays 60.1mm across every ES generation.
The ES is the front-wheel-drive Lexus sedan, derived from the Toyota Camry platform. That is structurally different from the rear-drive Lexus IS and GS, which share the same 5x114.3 / 60.1mm bolt pattern but ride on a completely different chassis with different suspension geometry, different brake hardware, and different fender clearance. A wheel built for an IS or GS may bolt onto an ES, but the offset window and the brake clearance are calibrated for a different car. We measure the ES separately from the IS and GS for that reason. Compare across the rest of the Lexus lineup at our Lexus wheels and rims hub.
Why Every Lexus ES Runs Square Fitment
The Lexus ES is front-wheel drive on every generation. The front axle drives the car and the rear axle is along for the ride. That drivetrain layout makes a staggered fitment (wider rear than front) a poor fit for the platform; the rear wheel sees no drive load and the matched front-rear circumference is what the chassis is engineered around. Every ES in our catalog runs square fitment, with the front and rear wheel the same width and the same diameter, and that holds across all six generations and every trim including the F SPORT option on the current ES 350.
The ES also runs matched front-rear brake hardware across every generation. The front and rear brake rotor and caliper are sized similarly because the ES is positioned as a comfort-and-luxury sedan rather than a performance car. That keeps the aftermarket fitment window simpler than on the Lexus IS or other performance-leaning sedans where the front brake is larger than the rear. The F SPORT trim option on the XV70 ES 350 adds sport-tuned suspension, body details, and interior touches, but the brake hardware on the F SPORT matches the standard ES 350. If you are looking for the brake step-up version of the F SPORT badge in the Lexus sedan lineup, that is the IS 350 F SPORT or the IS 500 F Sport Performance, both of which live in the Lexus IS catalog.

How We Confirm Fitment on Lexus ES Wheels
Element Wheels measures fitment on the platforms we sell wheels for, including every ES generation back to the 1992 ES 300. For the ES that means clearance from the wheel to the fender, gap between the back of the wheel and the front suspension (which is the tight tolerance area on a FWD car because the front axle is doing both the driving and the steering work), brake caliper clearance (matched front-rear on every ES), hub bore confirmation, lug stud seat depth, and turning clearance with the wheel and tire installed. At our fitment facility in Chandler, Arizona, the Element Wheels team measures directly on the physical platforms we support. We don't pull specs from manufacturer sheets the way most retailers do.
That measurement work is what produced the chassis-specific fitment windows on this page, including the diameter step-up from 15 inch on the XV10 to 17 inch on the XV70 as factory minimums tracked the platform's growth into a larger luxury sedan.
Lexus ES Wheels and Rims FAQ
What is the bolt pattern on a Lexus ES?
Every Lexus ES uses 5x114.3 with a 60.1mm hub bore. That holds across all six generations from the 1992 ES 300 (XV10) through the current XV70 ES 250, ES 300h, and ES 350, including the F SPORT trim option. Lug spec is M12x1.5. The ES has never used any other bolt pattern. 5x114.3 is also written as 5x4.5 in imperial; that imperial nickname refers ONLY to 5x114.3 and NOT to 5x115, which is a different pattern (Chrysler 300, Dodge Charger LX) and will not bolt onto an ES.
Is the Lexus ES the same platform as the Lexus IS?
No. The ES is the front-wheel-drive Lexus sedan, derived from the Toyota Camry platform. The IS is a rear-wheel-drive Lexus sedan on a completely different chassis (an N platform Lexus rear-drive architecture shared with the GS and originally adapted from earlier Toyota rear-drive chassis). Both cars use the same 5x114.3 / 60.1mm bolt pattern, but the chassis, suspension geometry, brake hardware, and fender clearance are different. A wheel built for an IS may bolt onto an ES, but the offset window and brake clearance are calibrated for a different car. We measure the ES separately from the IS.
Are Lexus ES wheels staggered?
No. Every Lexus ES runs square fitment, with the front and rear wheels the same width and the same diameter. The ES is front-wheel drive on every generation. The front axle drives the car and the rear axle does not, so the chassis is engineered around matched front-rear circumference. Aftermarket staggered builds are not workable on a FWD platform; the rear wheel sees no drive load and there is no reason to step it up. If you are looking for a staggered Lexus sedan setup, that is the rear-drive IS or GS.
Does the F SPORT trim change the wheel I can buy?
Not at the bolt-pattern level. The F SPORT trim option on the XV70 ES 350 uses the same 5x114.3 / 60.1mm bolt pattern as the standard ES, and the brake hardware on the F SPORT matches the standard ES 350. F SPORT adds sport-tuned suspension, body details, and interior touches, but it does not step up the brake package the way the IS 350 F SPORT does on the rear-drive Lexus IS. The aftermarket window on the ES 350 F SPORT is the same as the standard ES 350, with diameter from 17 to 20 inch and square fitment.
Will Toyota Camry wheels fit my Lexus ES?
The ES is Camry-derived and the two cars share the same 5x114.3 / 60.1mm bolt pattern across the matching generations, so a Camry wheel will bolt onto an ES of the same era. But the offset and the fender clearance are calibrated differently between the two cars (the ES has different fender lines, different ride height, and different aesthetic targets as the luxury variant), so a Camry wheel can sit too deep or too far out on an ES of the same year. We measure the two cars separately. Use the Year/Make/Model search to confirm a wheel was fit-tested on your specific ES.
What size wheels and tires came on the Lexus ES from the factory?
Factory wheel size has stepped up across the ES platform's six generations as the car has grown. The XV10 ES 300 (1992-1996) shipped on 15 inch wheels. The XV20 (1997-2001) and early XV30 (2002-2006) typically came with 16 inch. The XV40 ES 350 (2007-2012) moved to 17 or 18 inch. The XV50 (2013-2018) and current XV70 (2019 and up) ship on 17 or 18 inch standard, with 19 inch on the higher trim packages including the ES 350 F SPORT. Width is typically a 6.5 to 8 inch wheel on factory pairings across all generations.
What is the largest wheel I can fit on a Lexus ES?
Our measured aftermarket window tops at 20 inch diameter on every Lexus ES generation. Above 20 inch the tire sidewall thins enough that ride quality drops sharply, which defeats the point of a luxury sedan platform that prioritizes comfort. Most aftermarket ES buyers land at 18 or 19 inch, with 20 inch being the upper limit for the more aggressive visual builds. The diameter floor changes by generation (15 inch on the XV10 up to 17 inch on the XV70), so the workable range narrows on the newer cars.
Do I need hub centric rings on a Lexus ES?
Hub centric rings only when the aftermarket wheel has a centerbore larger than 60.1mm. That holds across every Lexus ES generation since the hub bore stays 60.1mm from the 1992 ES 300 through the current ES 250, ES 300h, and ES 350. If your fitment needs rings, they'll be included with the order.
