Should I buy black wheels?
We get asked all the time what color wheels we suggest for a particular color car. Unfortunately, that question is not so cut and dry. Everyone has a different look they are going for, and that's why there are so many options in the aftermarket wheel industry. We may not be able to make that choice for you, but we can help guide you in the right direction. Most customers that buy black wheels want a very custom look. They want people to see their car, and know that this is not your average ride! It is definitely a more sporty look for cars, and a more rugged and aggressive look when it comes to trucks and SUV's. The typical customer that buys black wheels wants the wheels to definitely stand apart from the vehicle and give off that more dangerous, or aggressive look.
What's is the difference between Gloss Black, Matte Black, and Textured Black Wheels?
Gloss black Wheels:
Gloss black wheels are a shiny, reflective black, much like a standard black paint job on a car. The color is obviously black, but if you put your hand in front of it, you will see its reflection clearly.
Matte Black Wheels:
Matte black wheels are in between and gloss black and flat black. They are not reflective like a gloss finish would be, but they are not chalky like flat black either which can be borderline grey. They are a black color with very little to no sheen.
Textured Black Wheels:
Textured black wheels will not be smooth to the touch. They will be rough as you run your hand across the wheel. They can come in gloss or matte finishes.
