The Legend is a discontinued nameplate now, but the catalog stays live because Legend wheel fitment is still a common request from owners of preserved 1st gen KA1-KA4 sedans and coupes and 2nd gen KA7 sedans and KA8 coupes. The Legend is one of the few platforms where the bolt pattern, the hub bore, and the lug count all change at the generation boundary. The 1986-1990 1st gen Legend ran 4x114.3 (4-lug) with a 64.1mm hub bore. The 1991-1995 2nd gen Legend (sedan and coupe) moves to 5x114.3 (5-lug) with a larger 70.1mm hub bore. Thread pitch stays M12x1.5 across both generations. Both Legend generations run square (non-staggered) fitment from the factory. The Acura Legend Bolt Pattern Across 10 Model Years

The Legend carried two distinct bolt patterns across its 1986-1995 production run, with the change at the 1991 generation transition. The 1986-1990 1st gen Legend ran 4x114.3 (also called 4x4.5) with a 64.1mm hub bore. The 4-lug pattern is the older luxury sedan layout that Acura inherited from late-1980s Honda engineering. The 1st gen Legend was offered as both a sedan and a coupe, and the wheel fitment is the same across body styles within the 1986-1990 range.

The 1991-1995 2nd gen Legend moves to 5x114.3 (also 5x4.5) with a larger 70.1mm hub bore. The 5-lug transition was Acura's move into the upper luxury segment alongside the bigger engine (the C32A V6) and the long-wheelbase chassis. The 2nd gen Legend sedan (KA7) and coupe (KA8) both use 5x114.3 / 70.1mm. The 2nd gen coupe includes the 6-speed manual Type II, which is the enthusiast pick within the Legend lineup. The 70.1mm hub bore on the 2nd gen Legend is unusual within the Acura lineup. Most Acuras use 64.1mm. The same 70.1mm bore appears on the 1991-2001 NSX and the 1991-1995 Legend, both products of Acura's early-1990s flagship effort. A wheel from a 1990 Legend (4-lug 4x114.3) does not bolt onto a 1991 Legend (5-lug 5x114.3) and vice versa. Why the 4-Lug 1st Gen and 5-Lug 2nd Gen Legend Are Separate Fitments

The Legend is one of the cleanest generation breaks in the Acura lineup. The 1st gen Legend (sedan and coupe) and the 2nd gen Legend (sedan KA7 and coupe KA8) cannot share a wheel. Different bolt count (4 vs 5). Different bolt pattern circle (114.3 either way, but 4-lug to 5-lug). Different hub bore (64.1mm vs 70.1mm). The lug stud thread is the only spec that carries across both generations (M12x1.5 on every Legend). The hub bore step at 1991 also has practical consequences for cross-shopping wheels. A wheel bored at 64.1mm physically cannot seat on the 2nd gen's 70.1mm hub because the hub is larger than the wheel's center opening. A wheel needs a centerbore of 70.1mm or larger to fit the 2nd gen Legend hub. Wheels bored larger than 70.1mm (for example 73mm) work with hub centric rings that step the bore down to 70.1mm on the Legend (or down to 64.1mm on the 1st gen).
