Acura RDX Aftermarket Wheel Fitment
The Acura RDX is Acura's compact luxury crossover, in production since 2007 and currently on its 3rd generation. Element Wheels measures fitment across all three generations: 1st gen TB (2007-2012), 2nd gen TB3/TB4 (2013-2018), and the current 3rd gen TC1/TC2 (2019 and up). The bolt pattern history on the RDX is stable. Every RDX from 2007 forward runs 5x114.3 with a 64.1mm hub bore. The pattern has not moved across the RDX's nineteen-year run, which is different from the Acura MDX where the bolt pattern oscillated between 5x114.3 and 5x120 multiple times. The RDX has stayed on 5x114.3 / 64.1mm the whole time. Brake package is matched front to rear across every generation, and the RDX runs square (same width front and rear) in every factory configuration. Pick your generation below for the fitment specs that apply to your specific RDX.
Find Your Acura RDX Generation
Pick your generation to see wheels and rims that fit your specific RDX. The bolt pattern is 5x114.3 with a 64.1mm hub bore on every RDX from launch through the current 3rd gen. The fitment window changes by generation as the wheel diameter and width step up across the chassis updates.
The Acura RDX Bolt Pattern Has Not Moved
Every Acura RDX from the 2007 launch through the current 3rd gen TC (2019 and up) runs 5x114.3 with a 64.1mm hub bore. The pattern has stayed steady across the entire RDX run. This is different from the larger Acura MDX, where the bolt pattern moved back and forth between 5x114.3 and 5x120 across the MDX generations. The RDX has not done that. If you have any RDX from 2007 forward, the bolt pattern is 5x114.3 and the hub bore is 64.1mm.
5x114.3 is one of the most common 5-lug patterns in the world, also written as 5x4.5 in imperial because 114.3mm equals 4.5 inches. The 5x4.5 nickname refers ONLY to 5x114.3. A wheel listed for 5x115 (the Chrysler 300 and Dodge Charger LX pattern) will NOT bolt onto an RDX, even though the two numbers read less than a millimeter apart. The 64.1mm hub bore is the Honda-Acura car and small-SUV hub spec, the same hub used on the Honda CR-V, the Honda Accord, the Honda Civic, and most Acura sedans. Compare across the rest of the Acura lineup at our Acura wheels and rims hub.
Why the RDX Runs Square Fitment
The RDX runs square (same width front and rear) in every factory configuration we have measured, on all three generations. Acura specs square fitment on the RDX because the SUV is a daily-driver luxury crossover where tire rotation between front and rear is part of the normal maintenance routine. The brake package is also matched front to rear on every RDX generation. There is no front-larger-than-rear constraint on the aftermarket wheel face. The 3rd gen TC variants (including the A-Spec, Advance, and PMC Edition trims) all share the same brake setup and the same fitment window from a wheel-face-clearance standpoint. The Acura SH-AWD system on AWD trims of the RDX does not change the bolt pattern, hub bore, or aftermarket window; the front-wheel-drive and SH-AWD RDX share the same wheel fitment.

How We Confirm Fitment on Acura RDX Wheels
Element Wheels measures fitment on the platforms we sell wheels for, including every RDX generation back to 2007. For the RDX that means clearance from the wheel to the fender, gap between the back of the wheel and the suspension, brake caliper clearance, hub bore confirmation on the 64.1mm Honda-Acura hub, lug seat depth, and turning clearance with the wheel and tire installed. At our fitment facility in Chandler, Arizona, the Element Wheels team measures directly on the physical platforms we support. We don't pull specs from manufacturer sheets the way most retailers do.
Acura RDX Wheels and Rims FAQ
What is the bolt pattern on an Acura RDX?
Every Acura RDX from 2007 through the current 3rd gen TC (2019 and up) uses 5x114.3 (also written 5x4.5) with a 64.1mm hub bore. The pattern has stayed steady across the entire RDX run. This is different from the larger Acura MDX, where the bolt pattern moved between 5x114.3 and 5x120 across the MDX generations. The RDX has not done that.
What is the hub bore on an Acura RDX?
Every RDX uses a 64.1mm hub bore. This is the Honda-Acura car and small-SUV hub standard, the same hub used on the Honda CR-V, the Honda Accord, the Honda Civic, and most Acura sedans. No hub centric rings needed when the aftermarket wheel matches 64.1mm directly.
Will MDX wheels fit an RDX?
Bolt pattern crosses only on the MDX years that ran 5x114.3, which were the 1st gen MDX (2001-2006) and the early 3rd gen MDX (2014-2016). The 2007-2013 MDX, the 2017-2020 MDX, and the current 4th gen MDX (2022 and up) all run 5x120, which does NOT cross to any RDX. The RDX has been 5x114.3 / 64.1mm for its entire run, so confirm the MDX year carefully before assuming the wheels swap.
Are Acura RDX wheels staggered?
No. The RDX runs square (same width front and rear) in every factory configuration. The aftermarket sticks to square as well, since the RDX is a daily-driver luxury crossover where tire rotation between front and rear is part of the normal maintenance routine. A square setup keeps tire rotation simple.
Does AWD vs FWD change the wheel I can buy?
No. The Acura SH-AWD system on AWD trims of the RDX uses the same bolt pattern, hub bore, brake package, and aftermarket fitment window as the front-wheel-drive RDX of the same generation. The drivetrain does not change wheel fitment on the RDX. The bolt pattern follows the generation, not the drivetrain.
What is the largest wheel I can fit on an Acura RDX?
Our measured aftermarket window on the RDX tops at 22 inch diameter across every generation. Most aftermarket RDX upgrades land at 19 or 20 inch since the 3rd gen RDX ships with 19 inch wheels from the factory on most trims. Above 22 inch the tire sidewall thins enough that the ride quality drops on a daily-driver crossover.
Do I need hub centric rings on an Acura RDX?
Hub centric rings only when the aftermarket wheel has a centerbore larger than 64.1mm. If your fitment needs rings, they'll be included with the order.
How do I find wheels for my specific Acura RDX?
Confirm your generation first. 1st gen TB is 2007-2012, 2nd gen TB3/TB4 is 2013-2018, 3rd gen TC1/TC2 is 2019 and up. Then use our Year/Make/Model search to see wheels that fit your specific RDX year and trim and browse the wheel gallery for real-life builds. Every wheel we recommend is backed by the Fitment Guarantee.
