The Alfa Romeo Stelvio Bolt Pattern and Hub Bore

Every Alfa Romeo Stelvio from 2018 forward runs 5x110 with a 65.1mm hub bore. That covers the base Stelvio in rear drive and Q4 all wheel drive form, the Ti and Sprint trims, and the Quadrifoglio on both the steel brake and carbon ceramic brake packages. The 5x110 pattern is the Fiat and Alfa Romeo standard for this class of vehicle. The Stelvio sits on the same Giorgio platform as the Giulia sport sedan, which is the same chassis fact that explains why the hub interface is identical between the two cars. The 65.1mm hub bore is Alfa Romeo specific. Wheels with a larger centerbore need hub centric rings to bring the bore down to the Stelvio hub diameter.

The Stelvio uses lug bolts (M14x1.5) threaded directly into the hub, not studs and nuts. This is the European convention and Alfa Romeo follows it on the Stelvio as it does on the Giulia. There is no stud to pre align the wheel before tightening, so the centerbore handles the centering job at speed. Hub centric fit matters more on a lug bolt SUV than on a stud and nut platform, particularly on heavier crossover bodies that put more weight through the wheel and hub interface. Why the Quadrifoglio Stelvio Splits Off From the Base SUV

The Quadrifoglio (QV) is the performance Stelvio. It runs the same Ferrari derived 2.9L twin turbo V6 as the Giulia QV, with Q4 all wheel drive standard, and a larger Brembo brake package than the base SUV. The base Stelvio runs a square fitment (same width front and rear), which is how Alfa Romeo set it up from the factory. The Quadrifoglio is a must staggered fitment because the rear track is wider and the rear axle puts down the performance package power. The aftermarket window respects that. We measure the Quadrifoglio steel brake and the Quadrifoglio carbon ceramic brake variants separately because the carbon ceramic caliper face is physically larger than the steel Brembo and takes more room behind the wheel spokes.

The front brake is larger than the rear on every Stelvio, including the base trim. That is normal on a performance crossover of this caliber. The front axle handles the majority of the braking load and Alfa Romeo scaled the front rotor and caliper accordingly. On the base Stelvio the front to rear differential is smaller. On the Quadrifoglio the front Brembo is significantly larger and drives the wheel face clearance constraint on deeply concave aftermarket designs.
