The car lineup runs 5x112 across nearly every model from the A3 through the A8 and across every S and RS variant. The SUV side is mostly 5x112 as well, with a 5x130 split that appears on the first generation Q7, the Q6 e-tron, and some e-tron variants where the platform is shared with the Porsche Cayenne and Volkswagen Touareg. Centerbore matters on Audi. Newer models use a 66.6mm hub while older models use 57.1mm, and the difference is enough to cause vibration if a hub centric ring is not used. The Audi Bolt Pattern Landscape

Audi runs almost the entire lineup on 5x112, with a small 5x130 split that appears on a few SUVs and EVs sharing platforms with Porsche and Volkswagen.

The 5x130 SUV split is the place buyers get caught off guard. A first generation Q7 will not bolt to a second generation Q7 even though both are Audis. Centerbore matters too. Older Audis use a 57.1mm hub, newer ones use 66.6mm, and a hub centric ring is required when running aftermarket wheels with a larger centerbore.

RS Performance Trims, Brake Clearance, and the Audi Centerbore

The RS lineup is where Audi fitment gets specific. The RS3, RS4, RS5, RS6, and RS7 all run larger brake packages than their non-RS counterparts. The RS6 and RS7 in particular run aggressive factory brake setups, with optional carbon ceramic brakes that demand significant wheel clearance. A wheel that fits an A6 will not always clear an RS6, and the same separation applies between the A7 and the RS7. The S trims sit in between, with larger brakes than the base car but smaller than the RS.

The R8 is its own platform. The supercar uses 5x112 like the sedans but the offset window, brake clearance, and centerbore are unique to the mid engine layout. Carbon ceramic brake clearance on the V10 Plus and Performance trims is tight enough that we measure each wheel directly rather than relying on spec sheets.

The Audi centerbore split catches buyers cross shopping between an older Audi and a newer one. Older Audis use a 57.1mm hub bore. Newer Audis use 66.6mm. Aftermarket wheels are typically built for 66.6mm with the assumption a hub centric ring will be added for smaller bores. If the ring is missed, the wheel can vibrate even though the bolt pattern is correct.

How We Confirm Fitment

Element Wheels measures fitment on Audi models we sell wheels for. For each chassis and brake combination we measure clearance from the wheel to the fender, gap between the back of the wheel and any suspension components, brake caliper height, hub protrusion, lug height, and how much room the front wheel has when turning lock to lock. We do this on the car, not from a spec sheet.

That measurement work covers the most active Audi platforms across the catalog. The RS3, RS4, RS5, RS6, RS7, and RS Q8 are each tracked separately from their non-RS counterparts because the brake clearance is larger. The R8 is tracked separately by trim because of the V10 Plus and Performance carbon ceramic packages. The Q7 first generation 5x130 is tracked separately from the second generation 5x112. The Q6 e-tron is tracked separately because it shares the Porsche Macan EV platform.
