Audi A7 Aftermarket Wheel Fitment
The Audi A7 is Audi's executive five-door fastback, sitting on the same C-chassis architecture as the A6 sedan but wearing a sloped liftback roofline and a sportback rear hatch. Element Wheels measures the A7 across two modern generations: C7 (2011-2018) and the current C8 (2019 and up). Both generations use 5x112 with a 66.56mm hub bore, M14x1.5 lug bolts, and Quattro all wheel drive as standard. The hub spec lines up with the C7 and C8 A6 of the same year, so a wheel built for a C7 A6 of the right offset will often fit a C7 A7. What changes for the A7 vs the A6 is the rear body work and the slightly different fender opening behind the rear wheel, which can shift the practical aftermarket offset on more aggressive builds. The warm S7 and the full performance RS7 are tracked as separate hubs because their brake packages and offset windows differ from the standard A7. Pick your generation below for the fitment specs that apply to your specific A7.
Find Your Audi A7 Generation
Pick your chassis to see wheels and rims that fit your specific A7. Bolt pattern is 5x112 across both modern generations with a 66.56mm hub bore, M14x1.5 lug bolts, and Quattro AWD standard. Looking for the performance variants? Visit the Audi S7 wheels and rims hub or the Audi RS7 wheels and rims hub.
The Audi A7 Bolt Pattern
Every modern A7 uses 5x112 with M14x1.5 lug bolts. Audi runs lug bolts, not studs and nuts the way most American and Asian sedans do. The lug bolt threads directly into the hub, the wheel sits between the head of the bolt and the hub face, and there is no fixed lug stud to align the wheel before tightening. This makes a hub-centric fit more important on the A7 than on a stud-and-nut car. The centerbore is 66.56mm on both the C7 (2011-2018) and the current C8 (2019 and up) generations. The A7 did not run the older 57.1mm hub the way the C5 and C6 A6 sedans did, because the A7 line started in the C7 era and Audi had already moved to the larger hub by then.
The 5x112 / 66.56mm spec on the C7 and C8 A7 matches the wheel architecture on the C7 and C8 A6 sedan and the current A8, so a wheel that fits a 2014 A6 of the right offset will often fit a 2014 A7. The bolt math works because the A7 is the same C-chassis underneath the fastback roof. The pattern is also shared with the rest of the modern Audi sedan family (A3, A4, A5, A8), the current Q5 and Q7, and the VW Group passenger-car siblings. It is NOT the same as the 5x130 pattern Audi used on the first generation Q7 SUV. Compare against the A6 chassis hub at our Audi A6 wheels and rims hub, and against the rest of the Audi lineup at our Audi wheels and rims hub.
Why the A7 Body Style and Brake Package Determine Wheel Fit
The A7 is sold as a five-door fastback in North America with a single body style per generation. There is no Avant wagon or Allroad variant of the A7 the way the A6 has. What does vary across the A7 lineup is the brake package and the trim level. Base brakes ship on the 2.0T and 3.0T trims. The S Line and Prestige option moves up a tier on the front rotor, which tightens the offset clearance behind the wheel face. Quattro AWD is standard on every modern A7, so drivetrain is not a fitment variable on this car. Both Quattro AWD and the square (non-staggered) factory configuration go together. The same wheel and tire size on every corner is the default on the standard A7, with staggered aftermarket builds running on a few wider rear setups but only as a choice, not a requirement.
Worth being clear: the S7 (the warm performance variant) and the RS7 (the full performance variant) ship from the factory with their own brake packages and their own factory wheel sizes. They are tracked as separate catalog hubs because their fitment windows do not match the standard A7. The RS7 in particular ships with the largest Audi brake package and the most aggressive factory wheel of any A7-platform car. If you have an S7 or an RS7, use the dedicated S7 or RS7 wheel hub or contact our team before ordering off the standard A7 page.
Element Wheels Measured Aftermarket Fitment, Audi A7
Publishable factory and wheel specs across the A7 generations:
- C7 A7 (2011-2018): 5x112 bolt pattern, 66.56mm hub bore. M14x1.5 lug bolts. Element aftermarket diameter range: 20 to 22 inch. Aftermarket width range: 8 to 10.5 inch. Square fitment standard. Quattro AWD standard.
- C8 A7 (2019 and up): 5x112 bolt pattern, 66.56mm hub bore. M14x1.5 lug bolts. Element aftermarket diameter range: 19 to 22 inch. Aftermarket width range: 8.5 to 10.5 inch. Square fitment standard. Quattro AWD standard.
Offset windows are tightly controlled for the A7 brake clearance, especially on S Line trims and the C8 with larger factory rotors. For your exact aftermarket offset, three options:
- 1. Use our Year/Make/Model search to see wheels that fit your specific A7 (each listing shows its own offset).
- 2. Browse the A7 wheel gallery for real-life builds with size, offset, and tire spec captions.
- 3. Call or chat with our team for a free fitment consultation.
Every wheel we recommend is backed by our Fitment Guarantee. If a wheel does not fit, we pick up the wheels and refund 100 percent. No risk to you.
How We Confirm Fitment on Audi A7 Wheels
Element Wheels measures fitment on the platforms we sell wheels for, including both A7 generations. For the A7 that means clearance from the wheel to the fender (with the sloped fastback rear that differs from the A6 sedan rear), gap between the back of the wheel and the suspension, brake caliper height across the base and S Line trim packages, hub bore confirmation at 66.56mm, and lug bolt seat depth for M14x1.5 bolts. At our fitment facility in Chandler, Arizona, the Element Wheels team measures directly on the physical platforms we support. We don't pull specs from manufacturer sheets the way most retailers do.
Audi A7 Wheels and Rims FAQ
What is the bolt pattern on an Audi A7?
Every modern A7 uses 5x112 with M14x1.5 lug bolts. The pattern has stayed 5x112 across the C7 (2011-2018) and the current C8 (2019 and up). The same 5x112 pattern is shared with the A6 sibling, the rest of the modern Audi sedan family (A3, A4, A5, A8), and the current Q5 and Q7 SUVs.
What is the centerbore on an Audi A7?
66.56mm on both the C7 (2011-2018) and the current C8 (2019 and up). The A7 line started in the C7 era, by which point Audi had already moved to the larger hub bore on the C-chassis cars. There is no older 57.1mm A7 the way there is an older 57.1mm A6 (the C5 and C6 A6 ran 57.1mm). A wheel bored to 66.56mm sits hub-centric on every modern A7.
Will A6 wheels fit an A7?
Same chassis, same bolt pattern, same hub bore within the same generation. A wheel that fits a C7 A6 (2012-2018) of the right offset will usually fit a C7 A7. A wheel that fits a C8 A6 (2019 and up) of the right offset will usually fit a C8 A7. The A7 is the fastback version of the A6 underneath the body. Where it can shift is the rear fender clearance, because the A7 has a sloped liftback roofline and a sportback rear hatch instead of a sedan trunk. On more aggressive aftermarket builds (wider rear, more poke), the rear fender geometry on the A7 may not match the A6 of the same chassis. Use the A7-specific fitment box on this page when shopping for the A7.
What is the difference between A7, S7, and RS7 wheel fit?
Same chassis, same bolt pattern (5x112), same hub bore (66.56mm), same M14x1.5 lug bolt. The wheels bolt across between A7, S7, and RS7. Where it changes is the brake package. The standard A7 runs a base brake, the S7 runs a performance brake, and the RS7 runs the largest Audi brake package with carbon-ceramic available on the top trims. Wider factory wheels and tighter aftermarket offset windows come with the RS7 specifically. Use the dedicated S7 hub or RS7 hub when shopping for those cars, not this page.
Are Audi A7 wheels staggered?
Square is the standard. The A7 ships with Quattro AWD on every modern generation, and Audi Quattro benefits from the same wheel and tire size on every corner. Our measured aftermarket window puts the A7 at the same width front and rear. Aftermarket staggered builds (slightly wider rear) are available as a choice on the C7 and C8 but are not the factory default. The full performance RS7 is the platform where factory-staggered fitments matter more. See the dedicated RS7 hub for that.
What is the largest wheel I can fit on an Audi A7?
22 inch is the top of our measured window on both the C7 (2011-2018) and the C8 (2019 and up). 20 to 21 inch is the most common A7 aftermarket choice on the C7, and 21 to 22 inch on the C8. Above the measured window, the tire becomes hard to source and ride quality drops as the sidewall thins.
Do I need hub centric rings on an Audi A7?
Hub centric rings only when the aftermarket wheel has a centerbore larger than 66.56mm. If your fitment needs rings, they'll be included with the order.
How do I find the right wheels for my specific Audi A7?
Confirm your chassis (C7 or C8). The bolt pattern is 5x112 on every modern A7 with a 66.56mm hub bore and M14x1.5 lug bolts. Use our Year/Make/Model search to see wheels that fit your specific A7 and browse the wheel gallery for real-life builds with size and offset captions. If you have an S7 or RS7, use the dedicated performance hub instead of this page. Every wheel we recommend is backed by the Fitment Guarantee.
