Audi e-tron Aftermarket Wheel Fitment

The Audi e-tron is Audi's first dedicated electric SUV, Q8-sized, launched in the US for the 2019 model year. Element Wheels measures fitment on two body-style variants of the original e-tron: the e-tron SUV (2019-2023) and the e-tron Sportback (2021-2023, the coupe-SUV roofline). For the 2024 model year Audi renamed this nameplate to Q8 e-tron to align it with the rest of the Q8 family; this hub covers the original e-tron / e-tron Sportback years only. If your Audi EV SUV is a 2024 or newer, it is a Q8 e-tron and lives on the Q8 e-tron hub. Bolt pattern across the original e-tron and e-tron Sportback is 5x112 with a 66.56mm hub bore. Lug hardware is M14x1.5 bolts that thread directly into the hub (Audi runs bolts, not studs and nuts). Front brake is larger than rear on every e-tron, which is normal on a 5,700-pound electric SUV. The aftermarket diameter window is 20 to 22 inch and the e-tron runs a square (non-staggered) fitment with an 8.5 to 10.5 inch wheel width front and rear. Pick your body style below for the fitment specs.

Find Your Audi e-tron Body Style

Pick your body style to see wheels and rims that fit your specific e-tron. Bolt pattern is constant at 5x112 / 66.56mm across both the e-tron SUV and the e-tron Sportback, and the aftermarket fitment window matches between the two. The Sportback (2021-2023) is the coupe-SUV roofline version of the standard e-tron SUV (2019-2023). 2024 and newer cars are Q8 e-tron, not original e-tron.

The Audi e-tron Bolt Pattern

The original Audi e-tron uses 5x112 with a 66.56mm hub bore on both the standard SUV and the Sportback body style. Lug hardware is M14x1.5 bolts that thread directly into the hub. That 5x112 / 66.56mm spec matches the rest of the modern Audi family, including the current Q5, Q7 (4M), Q8, A6, A7, and A8. The e-tron sits on the MLB Evo platform, the same shared Audi-architecture chassis as the gas-engined Q7 and Q8, so the bolt pattern, hub bore, and many of the suspension hard points are the same family even though the powertrain is different.

Worth flagging: the Audi EV lineup runs three different bolt patterns depending on the model, and the original e-tron is only one of them. The original e-tron and the Q8 e-tron use 5x112 / 66.56mm. The Q4 e-tron uses 5x112 with a smaller 57.1mm hub bore on the MEB platform. The e-tron GT and RS e-tron GT sedans use 5x130 / 71.6mm on the J1 EV platform shared with the Porsche Taycan. The Q6 e-tron on the PPE platform uses 5x130 / 66.56mm. Wheels do NOT cross between these Audi EV families. If you also own or are cross-shopping wheels with a different Audi EV, the bolt pattern is the first spec to confirm. Compare across the rest of the Audi lineup at our Audi wheels and rims hub.

Body Styles, Brake Hardware, and the Square Fitment Rule

The e-tron is a square (non-staggered) fitment from the factory across both body styles. Same wheel and same tire on every corner. Quattro AWD on a 5,700-pound SUV benefits from equal-size wheels and tires, and Audi has not offered a staggered factory configuration on the original e-tron at any trim level. Aftermarket builds also run square almost universally. The aftermarket window is 8.5 to 10.5 inch wheel width front and rear and 20 to 22 inch diameter.

Front brake is larger than rear on every e-tron. That is normal on a performance SUV of this weight class; the front axle does the majority of the braking work, and Audi scales the front rotor and caliper accordingly. We measure front-caliper clearance directly on the car when we publish a fitment window, which is why the e-tron's 8.5 inch minimum width is the same front and rear despite the larger front brake; the brake hardware sits inside the 8.5 inch barrel without issue.

The Sportback (coupe-SUV roofline, 2021-2023) runs the same fitment window as the standard e-tron SUV (2019-2023). The lower roofline does not change wheel and tire geometry; what changes is rear headroom and cargo capacity, which the wheel does not interact with.

Element Wheels Measured Aftermarket Fitment, Audi e-tron

Publishable factory and wheel specs across the e-tron body styles:

  • e-tron SUV (2019-2023): 5x112 bolt pattern, 66.56mm hub bore. Element aftermarket diameter range: 20-22 inch. Aftermarket width: 8.5-10.5 inch front and rear. Square (non-staggered). Front brake larger than rear.
  • e-tron Sportback (2021-2023): 5x112 bolt pattern, 66.56mm hub bore. Element aftermarket diameter range: 20-22 inch. Aftermarket width: 8.5-10.5 inch front and rear. Square (non-staggered). Front brake larger than rear. Same fitment as e-tron SUV.

For your exact aftermarket offset, three options:

  • 1. Use our Year/Make/Model search to see wheels that fit your specific e-tron (each listing shows its own offset).
  • 2. Browse the e-tron wheel gallery for real-life builds with size, offset, and tire spec captions.
  • 3. Call or chat with our team for a free fitment consultation.

Every wheel we recommend is backed by our Fitment Guarantee. If a wheel does not fit, we pick up the wheels and refund 100 percent. No risk to you.

How We Confirm Fitment on Audi e-tron Wheels

Element Wheels measures fitment on the platforms we sell wheels for, including both the original e-tron SUV and the e-tron Sportback. For the e-tron that means clearance from the wheel to the fender, gap between the back of the wheel and the suspension, front brake caliper height (the front is the larger brake), hub bore confirmation at 66.56mm, lug bolt thread engagement depth, and turning clearance with the wheel and tire installed. At our fitment facility in Chandler, Arizona, the Element Wheels team measures directly on the physical platforms we support. We don't pull specs from manufacturer sheets the way most retailers do.

That measurement work is what produced the published fitment window on this page, including the 8.5 inch minimum width that clears the larger front caliper and the 20-22 inch diameter range that handles the e-tron's curb weight without compromising ride quality.

Audi e-tron Wheels and Rims FAQ

What is the bolt pattern on an Audi e-tron?

The original Audi e-tron uses 5x112 with a 66.56mm hub bore on both the SUV and the Sportback body style. Lug hardware is M14x1.5 bolts. That matches the rest of the modern Audi family (Q5, Q7 4M, Q8, A6, A7, A8) on the MLB Evo platform. If your Audi EV SUV is a 2024 or newer, it is a Q8 e-tron (the renamed nameplate) and not the original e-tron covered on this hub.

What happened to the e-tron name in 2024?

Audi renamed the e-tron SUV to Q8 e-tron for the 2024 model year and aligned it with the rest of the Q8 family naming. The bolt pattern (5x112 / 66.56mm) and the chassis stayed the same. The visual update for 2024 included new bumpers and the new Audi badging, plus a battery and range update, but the wheel fitment specs are the same family. The original e-tron and Q8 e-tron live on separate hubs on our site because the year range and the model name are different lookup paths, but a wheel that fits a 2023 e-tron SUV typically fits a 2024 Q8 e-tron SUV.

e-tron SUV vs e-tron Sportback: what changes for wheels?

Nothing changes for wheels. The Sportback is the coupe-SUV roofline version of the standard e-tron SUV. Bolt pattern (5x112), hub bore (66.56mm), brake hardware, diameter window (20-22 inch), and width window (8.5-10.5 inch front and rear, square) all match. The Sportback's lower roofline trades rear headroom and cargo space for a different visual silhouette; the wheel does not interact with that trade-off.

Are Audi e-tron wheels staggered?

No. The e-tron runs a square (non-staggered) fitment from the factory across both body styles. Same wheel and tire on every corner. Quattro AWD on a 5,700-pound SUV benefits from equal-size wheels at all four corners, and almost every aftermarket e-tron build also runs square.

Do Q7 or Q8 wheels fit an Audi e-tron?

Bolt pattern crosses with the current Q7 (4M, 2017 and up) and the Q8. All three sit on the same MLB Evo platform family and share 5x112 with a 66.56mm hub bore. The wheels bolt to the same hub. Brake clearance and offset windows are different between the e-tron and the gas-engined Q7/Q8 SUVs, so a Q7 wheel that fits a Q7 nicely can sit too deep or rub the fender on an e-tron, and vice versa. The wheels physically mount; the build is not guaranteed to fit cleanly. Note the older 4L Q7 (2007-2015) ran 5x130 and does NOT bolt onto an e-tron.

Do e-tron GT or Q4 e-tron wheels fit my e-tron SUV?

No on both. The e-tron GT and RS e-tron GT are sedans on the J1 EV platform shared with the Porsche Taycan and run 5x130 with a 71.6mm hub bore. The bolt pattern math does not cross to the 5x112 e-tron SUV. The Q4 e-tron runs 5x112 (matching) but with a smaller 57.1mm hub bore on the MEB platform, so even though the bolt pattern crosses, the hub bore and the offset windows are different and we do not recommend cross-fitment. The Audi EV lineup runs three separate bolt-pattern families and the e-tron SUV is only one of them.

What is the largest wheel I can fit on an Audi e-tron?

Our measured aftermarket window tops at 22 inch diameter on both the e-tron SUV and the Sportback. Above 22 inch the tire sidewall thins enough that ride quality, range, and pothole risk all get worse on a 5,700-pound EV SUV. Most aftermarket e-tron builds land at 21 or 22 inch.

Do I need hub centric rings on an Audi e-tron?

Hub centric rings only when the aftermarket wheel has a centerbore larger than 66.56mm. If your fitment needs rings, they'll be included with the order.

Get Audi e-tron Wheels Right the First Time

Pick your body style above to see wheels and rims that fit. We measure on the original e-tron platform across both the standard SUV and the Sportback, confirm the 5x112 / 66.56mm hub against the rest of the Audi EV lineup (which runs three separate bolt patterns), and flag the 2024 Q8 e-tron rename so cross-shoppers do not buy the wrong year.
