The 57.1mm centerbore is the key spec to confirm before ordering, because it is smaller than the 66.56mm hub used on the larger Audi SUVs (Q5, Q7 4M, Q8). A wheel built for a Q5 will not center on a Q3 hub even though the bolt pattern matches. The Audi Q3 Bolt Pattern

Every Audi Q3 ever built for the US market uses 5x112 with a 57.1mm hub bore. That covers the 8U (2015-2018) and the F3 (2020 and up). Lug hardware is M14x1.5 bolts that thread directly into the hub, the Audi standard. 5x112 is the VW Group's mainstream passenger-car pattern, so the Q3 shares its bolt pattern with the Audi A3, A4, A5, the larger Audi SUVs (Q5, Q7 4M, Q8), and a broad range of other modern Audi and VW vehicles.

The catch is the hub bore. The Q3's 57.1mm hub is smaller than the 66.56mm hub used on the Q5, Q7 (4M), and Q8. A wheel built for the larger Audi SUVs will bolt onto the Q3 hub (5x112 matches) but the centerbore will be too large to actually center the wheel against the hub. The wheel rides on the lug bolts alone instead of being seated by the hub face, which produces vibration. If you cross-shop wheels off a larger Audi SUV onto a Q3, you need hub centric rings to step the 66.56mm centerbore down to 57.1mm. The Q3's 57.1mm hub matches the Audi A3, Volkswagen Tiguan, Volkswagen GTI, and the rest of the VW Group MQB compact family.

Worth knowing: 5x112 is NOT the same as 5x114.3 used on most Japanese cars. The two patterns sit roughly 2mm apart and are not interchangeable.

Why the Q3 Generation Matters for Wheel Fit

The 8U Q3 (2015-2018) and the F3 Q3 (2020 and up) share the same bolt pattern and hub bore but run different diameter and width windows. The 8U covers 17 to 22 inch in our measured aftermarket window, the broader range reflecting older small-SUV proportions. The F3 narrowed the window to 18 to 21 inch, the modern range for an entry compact luxury SUV. Both generations ship square from the factory and almost every aftermarket Q3 build also runs square. Quattro AWD distributes power across both axles, so the Q3 does not need a wider rear tire for grip and a square setup is the standard build.
